She's been desperate a while to capture Timmy the Ghost. Though the skunk has tried her best to do so, many times, success has always eluded her (and she has, at times, succumbs to her own methods).\n\nFor the skunk, hunting about for Timmy the Ghost was a habit, and finding him was not uncommon. Even so, the last couple days had not produced any ghost sightings. Not one to be easily dismayed, the skunk ventured into the deep forest---surely her prize would be found there.\n\nSure enough, Timmy was there, and per usual, he seemed unaware of the skunk stalking him.\n\nPOUNCE!\n\n\"Got you!:, said the skunk, fully supposing some clever ghost method of escape.\n\nInstead, something strange happened, as in nothing happened: neither magic, nor flight; no sinking into the forest floor---nothing the skunk had experienced hitherto from the ghost.\nIt seemed Timmy hadn't any new tricks, or any ability to conjure old ones. In fact, though he seemed eager for escape, he could not.\nNow, of course, the skunk had yearned long and hard to feel the ghost boy squirm helplessly under her ...but not like this.\n\nThe skunk hesitated a moment before releasing her catch. She'd hoped perhaps this was some trick of the ghost boy---that he would poof into the ether and the hunt could begin again.\nAlas, Timmy remained in place, on the ground in a pitiable fetal position.\n\nThe skunk stepped back, observing the boy with one part suspicion and one part concern.\n\nAll hope vanished as Timmy seemed unable to compose himself. This was neither a sight the skunk wanted to see, nor was this a scenario she had hoped to be in---she wanted only to play with the ghost, after all.\nNot one willing to burden herself with regret, the skunk carried the ailing Timmy to her secret burrow 'neath a tree.\nThe skunk placed a layer of hay over Timmy's form, hoping the warmth would restore his usual way of being.
