Speaking of things my autism likes, the featured pencil is a salesman sample from American Pencil Co.

Salesman samples are not the same as pencils with (legitimate) ads on them. Rather, salesman samples are pencils a salesman would show to clients interested in having pencils made for their business, personalization, and the like (for those who've followed me a while, it should be clear not all pencils are the same).

This particular specimen was made sometime after the end of WWII and before 1956, when American Pencil Co. changed its name to Venus Pen and Pencil.
This would be an example of American Pencil Co's 'Drive Safely' line. I suppose these would appeal to operators of gas/service stations.
