Pencil...
The featured pencil is a vintage ad pencil for Big Star Market. I don't usually feature ad pencils unless the pencil is extremely old, branded, and/or has a special ferrule or barrel shape. This pencil is, effectively, 'just a pencil ' (I cannot even be sure of how old it is).
That said, this pencil is kinda advertising something nostalgic for me.
I say 'kinda' because the 'Big Star' promoted by this pencil is not representing the 'Big Star' chain I grew up with, but rather a franchise of the same name.

That image was taken from a news report, regarding a snowstorm we faced in the late 1980s. That Big Star became a Harris-Teeter sometime in the early 1990s, and today ...I think it's closed. :p
