XD\n\nAnyway, this is Varga Studio's interpretation of Jesus Christ, from their 'Animated World Faiths' library (the series covers many bases, not just Christian ones).\n\nAnyway, I really like Varga Studio's depiction of Jesus ...which may be seen in action here (link tested 08012/2021): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYty1nM7HDk\n\nThere's always this temptation to depict Christ in the traditional Heinrich Hofmann style ...and said temptation is seldom resisted, hence I find the Varga Studio Christ so appealing. :3\n\nAs for the pencil...\n\nTypical, late 1940's or early 1950's ad pencil, albeit this one features one of those Ad-Tips I like so much. Unlike many Ad-Tips, this one doesn't boast an ad, rather it displays a drawing of Christ ...in Heinrich Hofmann's style. ^^\n\nThe barrel of the pencil shows an ad for Bartlett's Funeral Home, which is still in business. The pencil also carries the well-known verse of John 3:16 on its barrel,\n\n\"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life\"\n\nPersonally, I'd have chosen this one, given this pencil (originally) was given away by a funeral home,\n\n\"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.\nFor we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him\"\n- 1st Thessalonians 14:13-14\n\nOf course, that might be too long, but could be abridged to,\n\n\"We grieve, but not as those without hope\" :3",
