"description": "Well, look what the cat dragged in (me!). :p\n\nSo... it's Christmas (yay? humbug? I couldn't tell you, so just take your pick).\n\nWhat Christmas means for my watchers (where I'm involved) is 'most' persons who found themselves on my block lists through the year have now been unblocked (per my tradition, for better or for worse). Just take it or leave it. ^^\n\nChristmas also means I'm obliged to write something (merry or otherwise), so here goes!\n\nI've been quiet for almost, what... two YEARS? What happened and where is the art?\n\nIt's not as simple as 'I hate my art'. Though that fact doesn't help, it's seldom ever stopped me for very long. No, the true underlying reason for my inactivity has been excessive, overwhelming depression.\n\nAs some of you know, I'm an older autistic person on disability. I've done some paid PT work here and there, as well as volunteer work at one of the local retirement home (activities dept). Most of my income comes from social security and allowances from my trust fund (when needed). In other words, I'm FAR from rich, but I have a significant cushion.\n\nSometime around late January 2024, my former trustees retired from their duty, and passed me on to the next person cited in the will to take over the responsibility.\n\nThat was unsettling to me because said person was to be the beneficiary of the trust until I came along (the money was given to me because the decedent and I had fallen in love and she wanted to be sure I'd be taken care of after she died).\n\nTo get to the point, the new trustee has been steadily getting even with me (this amped up just after my mother died last summer). The trustee has complete legal authority over me and my monies.\nIt was her decision that I sell the house I'd been living in the past eleven years (which was paid-for in full) and move elsewhere (the excuse being HOA dues, which I agree are annoying, but I was able to pay them).\n\nSo, where did I end up moving to? the trustees's daughter's house. Yup ...conflict of interest right there, and the person doing the repair work to my old place? my trustee's husband. Basically, she's getting 'her money' back.\n\nThe daughter's house is way out in the county--the nearest bus stop is a 45-minute walk down a highway with no sidewalk (I cannot drive). I had found another house near a big-box store, and (though that house would need work) it was around ninety-thousand dollars less than the daughter's house. My trustee wouldn't even drive me past it--it's her daughter's house or the street for me, basically.\n\nMaking it worse is she's been very aggressive towards me. She 'hired' some teenage missionaries to move my furniture (including many antiques). They carelessly 'threw' my furniture on the back of the truck, causing damage to several pieces (don't worry, I made pictures). I then had to spend $500 of my personal allowance to have professionals come out to unload and repack the truck.\n\nTo give a very recent example of how she treats me, she brought me over to her house to go over some bills and pay them. She uses checks that have to be mailed, so each required a stamp.\nShe said she should write me an IOU for the two stamps, but as she likes to be a martyr, she opted to swallow the cost (which I'm sure couldn't have been more than two dollars or so).\nOn the ride back, she asks if I want to get lunch. I said thank you, but I have no money. She said she would pay for it, but given how she bitched about the stamps, I wasn't about to accept anything more from her, so I repeated my polite no-thank-you.\nShe then says she now has to eat alone and that I don't think of anyone but myself. I kept quiet (I wasn't being a wimp--I just don't go to war without a gun. She will answer for all what she's done, in time, before a judge).\n\nDuring several days of the move, I was left in my old house with basically no *food or furniture and told I couldn't leave until the entire house was spotless (with little more than a broom, a dust pan, and some socks to use as rags). I did this work to the very best of my ability.\n\n*because I had to spend so much to save what was left of my furniture, I had very little money to buy anything with, and still don't.\n\nI do have help in this situation, but there isn't much that can be done until after the holidays.\nPresently, I'm in the daughter's house (which is just a glorified trailer I'm paying a quarter-million dollars for; the tax value on both it and the property combined isn't even two-hundred-thousand) with almost nothing to eat (she won't use any money from my trust to assist with food, though she gave me some expired canned from her pantry and homemade sausage from her freezer--I've been rationing this for just over a week, as of writing).\n\nI have unpacked VERY little because I don't intend to stay here. The only friend I have who can get me away from this place lives in IL (I'm in NC). He can be here within two days of my asking and has said he would (his mother's house is empty--I'd be staying there, with my cat).\nProblem is the trustee knows about him and has a trespass on him, which she filed in late 2024 without my consent. Again, she is cutting me off from everyone and from every resource.\n\nI 'had' a lawyer (the executor of the trust), but he's 'working for her' now, so I'm having to go to the state attorney.\nThat's going to be slow and probably ineffective, but it's a starting point. My aim right now is to await an opportunity for 'a friend of my friend' to come out here and help me move my stuff out of this house and into a storage unit (I'll be borrowing money from my other friend to do this--he's already agreed to it and I believe he'll keep his word), to keep it out of the hands of the trustee.\n\nI have the money to sue my trustee proper (and I fully intend to), but that money is in the trust, which she has control over. I need to fire and replace her before I can do anything meaningful (the first step is to stop the sale of my old house, or at the very least, use THAT money to hire a lawyer--I'm turning to the state to initiate some sort of action towards this). It's a very messy situation.\n\nOnce Christmas passes, I'll again try to get up with the state attorney to see what my options are and what I can/cannot do. It's a sickening scenario I'm in right now (literally, as I can feel it affecting my health).\n\nFor those who pray, please pray for me. That's all I'm asking of anyone who's read this far.\n\nI will be deleting this shortly (I'm taking a risk by publishing this).",
