It's similar to my beloved Dixon 9H, save it makes a darker line. Still, the Zephyr's line is very light (as it should be), but the reduction in graphite allows the Zephyr to be controlled a bit better, as well it doesn't 'groove' the paper as badly (my guess is the Zephyr is only half as hard as the 9H I've been using).\n\nTo darken the line art, I used this 'extra strong, extra dark' pencil made by Hindustan Pencils.\nThis model is the 'Apsara', which is indeed very strong---strong enough to use as a drumstick, if this ad for it is to be believed (link tested 8/24/2020): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NFRBdOfQXk\n\nDespite being what I call an 'inking pencil', the Apsara's lines aren't as impossible to erase as most of the others I've used.
