Even so, I wouldn't say it's wonderful, but certainly above average (smooth drag; *dark line; erases easily, just a bit dusty---nothing major to complain about).\nThe Electrographic's lead is not made of natural graphite. Rather, the core-compound was engineered by IBM in such a way as to be easily read by (early) test-scoring equipment. :3\n\nMy other test-scoring pencil was made by Musgrave, and is considerably more modern than the Electrograpic.\nI compared the Electrographic's line to one made by the Musgrave ...and I couldn't tell any difference. ^^\n\nI dunno---maybe I'm just unrefined and, consequently, ignorant as regards what to look for and appreciate.
