when I used to make good cartoons?\n\nNeither do I (I should probably work on that)!\n\nIn the mean, let's end the year with another sketch dumpling! :D\n\n1. Smuggles. From the Agapeland Character Builders series ...Which I'm sad to learn was revamped into some CGI atrocity---the series as I remember it used hand-drawn storybook illustrations.\n\nAn example of the latter (enjoy it while you can---link tested 12/30/2018): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJhwDk1gf_M\n\nAs for the CGI trash (link tested 12/30/2018): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBAEnYfcLMk\n\n...See the difference? The still, storybook ilos work very well with narration. Characters who move around (be they hand-drawn or CGI) should tell the stories themselves---they don't work with a narrator talking for them.\nIn other words, if animation is insisted, then ax the narrator. If the narrator is to remain (as I'd strongly suggest, as the narrator here does a marvelous job!), then stick with the storybook format.\n\n2. Squadcar. He's one of the rat racers from 'All Dogs Go to Heaven'. I drew Squadcar as an ACEO subject a couple years ago, but have lost the upload. Hence I have revived him here for to include his tag in my gallery. :3\n\n...upon inspection, I see I didn't finish this one. Oh, well!\n\n4. Bingo Beaver. From one of the original incarnations of 'The Get-Along Gang' cartoon. TGAG and Care Bears are somewhat related, in that they originated from Those Characters From Clevland, and licensed to Hallmark for greeting cards and other like things. :3\nThe Care Bears, it seems, had more marketability than TGAG, hence the former is still around (and refuses to die)!\n\n5. Terrible Tammy. An incidental character from an episode of Heathcliff. Tammy's ambition was to take over Heathcliff's neighborhood. Heathcliff couldn't challenge Tammy in the usual way (with his fists) because Tammy was a girl. Luckily, Heathcliff decided to outsmart her instead (and Sonja helped, too). :3\n\nSpeaking of ambition...\n\nYOUTUBE: \"Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats---Get season 4 on YouTube $29.99\"\n\n...They're joking. One practically has to be in one's thirties to remember this series---what child born in (say) 2010 is going to beg their parents for SEASON 4 of Heathcliff? ...And there would be at least three other seasons, so $120 for all? NTY!\nMoreover, a season is about 13 episodes---Cookie Jar released 10-episode DVDs of Heathcliff for much, much less than $29.99 (try $10)!\nEven more moreover, the COMPLETE SERIES could be bought for $34.99 in a 4-disc set (DVD Planet). Crazy. :P\n\n6. Pupcake and Custard (top). From the 2003 reboot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strawberry_Shortcake_(2003_TV_series)\nIf one looks closely at the 2003 Custard, one may notice she has stitches around her muzzle, as if she's sewn together (despite being a real cat). This is a subtle reference to the original (1980's) Custard, who was a plushie come to life. :3\n\n7. Rabbit (bottom). From the 'Franklin' TV series. 'Franklin' is possibly the kiddiest show I can still watch and enjoy on some level, along with Dragon Tales.\nI've yet to make any ACEOs of the Franklin cast, albeit, they've made appearances in my Timmy series (Badger and Rabbit are Timmy's favorites).\n\nFUN FACT: once I decided I wanted to learn how to draw, I began by drawing the characters from Franklin. :3\nI moved on to drawing more Looney-Tuney characters instead, as I felt their aesthetic was more conducive to, as well appropriate/practical for making OCs, as well for cartooning in general.\n\n8. Bongo. From a rather unknown series, 'My Big Big Friend'. This series looks like Playhouse Disney, but it's actually from South America.\nBasically, the show was about three kids and their imaginary animal friends. Bongo here was the imaginary friend of Matt: a boy with Saiyan hair. :3\n\n9. Hazel. She's from the strange 'My Friend Rabbit' series. This series intended to teach critical-thinking skills to young children, but perhaps took the idea a bit too far. One of the best examples of this can be seen in the show's intro,\n\nLink tested 12/31/2018: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeV4FBI5xxA\n\n...JUST WALK AROUND THE PUDDLE! D:\n\n10. A very (intentionally) lazy scribble of the Grymp. The Grymp is from that deplorably awful 'Two by Two' movie... I swear I'll review it (proper) one of these years! D:\n\n11. A Ginsfortwoozellfimm ...if you know what this is without looking it up, you're awesome! :D...and if you needed to look it up, then you're awesome for typing that! ...but if you used Ctrl + C, you're just ok. :3\n\n12. Puff. Puff was my favorite member of Streaky the Supercat's fan club. :3\n\nOf course, the show I'm referring to is Krypto the Superdog (the 2000's version). I recall binge watching much of the series, even returning to some episodes. ...I'm not that into it now, but I was for a short while in 2009.\nIn my enthusiasm, I made the best drawing I have ever made and (likely) ever will make: https://www.deviantart.com/martenferret/art/Krypto-the-Superdog-133399812\n\nI'll never top this. I drew that in 2009 (a freaking DECADE ago) Since then, I'm made hundreds upon hundreds of scribbles, but I can't quite do what I did there. If 'Pika Pats' is the most honest piece I've ever draw, 'Krypto the Superdog' is the best, insofar as line art.\n\n...Downloads 91\n\nWhy!?
