"writing": "“Judy…”\n\n\n“Yes, Nick?”\n\n\n“Don’t you think you’ve forgotten something?” \n\n\nJudy thought it over as her fiancé had pinned her against one of the walls not far from their bedroom. She fidgeted, hands held behind her back as her legs moved awkwardly in place… She knew what he was referring to of course.\n\n\n“You’ve got such a bad poker face, Carrots, do you know that?” Nick raised an eyebrow as he looked down at his cutely embarrassed mate. \n\n\nGod, his heart could hardly take how adorable she looked… would nibbling her ears be going too far? ‘N-no, stay focused! This is not the time to get love struck,’ Nick thought.\n\n\n“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about, hehe…” \n\n\nHer awkward laugh made him roll his eyes, his lips twitching as they so desperately wanted to smile. Deciding not to draw out the moment for longer, he took something from his pocket and presented it to the smaller animal before him.\n\n\n“Don’t you think you’ve forgotten these?” He presented her with the red thong she had casually thrown into a drawer while he hadn’t been looking.\n\n\n“Nick!” she exclaimed, real embarrassment sweeping over her blushing face as he swung around the specially made lingerie. \n\n\n“Not so hasty, Judy,” Nick spoke, thankful for being amongst only a handful of animals in the burrow able to actually smell the aroma emanating from the sexy lingerie… and wow, he had forgotten how flagrantly good her scent was.\n\n\n“Wear the thong as we agreed and I’ll stop waving it around.” He kissed the top of her head gently. “Unless you want to leak like a fountain at the dinner table?” Nick pointed downwards, the trail of wetness which was starting to show at the edge of her blue dress.\n\n\n“Looks like I really got you going good back there.” He lifted up one of the pills he had taken earlier along with the thong, the bunny taking it with an annoyed expression on her face as her fox stared her down with that signature smug smirk of his.\n\n\n“You’re lucky you’re so hot, or else I might have needed to hit you,” Judy commented as she got her thong back on, the pill a nice bonus as she had been feeling quite backed up.\n\n\n‘Hopefully the perfume doesn’t get ruined before the pill takes effect,’ she monologues, ears raising themselves back up as she looks the hallway over. ‘Good, nobody saw us,’ and that thought was a fact, as her keen ears made her realise how late they were.\n\n\n“Oh no, we are the only ones still here!” she panicked, her small hand taking hold of Nick's much larger one before the two ran off towards the eating hall.\n\n\n*****\n\n\n“You two, we were afraid you weren’t gonna make it for dinner,” Stu spoke with his mouth full of freshly baked potatoes, the things originating from one of his many personal fields. \n\n\n“Jessica told us you were busy with making yourself at home, so we feared you were gonna go to bed without even making a stop by the kitchen,” Bonnie added, pointing towards Judy's big sister who was sitting at the same table as Bonnie and Stu. \n\n\nThe hall wasn’t one big table as Nick had expected, but rather it looked like the dining hall at the ZPD, with small tables scattered about the room, each table big enough to seat about one or two litters worth of bunnies, with Judy’s parents table being the biggest.\n\n\nIntriguingly enough, Judy’s litter was seated at their parents table. \n\n\nNick counted six doe bunnies who were his fiancé’s age, Judy’s parents, step-brother… and Skye, the arctic fox. Their eyes had barely met as they approached the table before the bridal pair stood up and walked around the table towards them.\n\n\n“Hi! My name is Skye, Sky Snowfall.” She shook hands with first Judy, and then Nick. They shared a knowing look for a bit, the unspoken conversation lost on the others as they spoke with body language, a communication form often used by animals who wanted a bit of privacy when around the many other species which made up their everyday life. \n\n\n‘I see you fell for the bunny beauty phenomenon.’\n\n\n‘Touche, sister. Touche,’ Nick almost blurted out as she gave him one hell of a knowing look, as it seemed like they were in the same boat, or burrow in this case. \n\n\nNeither cared what made the other fall in love with a bunny, they were just happy to know that they weren’t alone amongst hundreds of curious bunnies, as the kits around the various tables looked at them as if they were rare game characters.\n\n\nThough her grip tightened as their handshake got prolonged… Was she, smelling the air?\n\n\n“Nick, was it? I’ve heard so many things about you from my sister, Judy.” The voice of Skye’s fiancé talking ripped him out of his trance. It’d been a while since he’d last looked at another pair of fox eyes, he’d really forgotten how captivating night vision eyes looked… \n\n\nHe wasn’t attracted to Skye like he was Judy, far from it, though any fox would have to admit that she was pretty by vulpine standards… Though she could never beat Judy’s bunny beauty, those alluring thighs could take down more than just bad guys.\n\n\n‘…thank goodness that the medicine is still working.’ he noted, as he caught a small glimpse of Judy's fluffy tail wagging as she looked at him and Jack shaking hands.\n\n\n“Nice to meet you, Jack. I hope the things you’ve heard about me are good,” Nick joked as he looked into the smaller male's blue eyes. They were deep, but not as deep as Skye’s or as captivating as Judy’s, though they had their allure, Nick could see why Skye fell in love.\n\n\n“Oh I’d say, good can’t quite describe the stories I’ve heard. Tell me, is it true that you and Judy inspired a whole generation of animals to become cops?” \n\n\nAnd off their conversation went as they sat themselves at the table, the two couples smiling and chatting, a sight which made most of the rabbits at the table enthusiastic and happy.\n\n\n“Wait, so you guys are part of the Mammal Intelligence 6, THE MI6?” Nick fanboyed over the recent revelation of Skye and Jack’s workplace (it was supposed to be a secret, but Jack knew that bunnies were good at keeping secrets, and Nick was a cop). \n\n\nFor all four of them to be part of law enforcement units, it wasn’t just an intriguing revelation, but an awesome blessing. It meant that they had tons of stuff in common, especially as Jack had also been involved in the recent case that Nick had been going undercover for.\n\n\n“Yep, though Jack was an employee before I even knew of the agency. We met during his first case,” Skye spoke, all of the sisters at the table looking her way with eagerness in their eyes, all of them purple like Judy’s.\n\n\n“You guys really got a lot in common,” Jessica spoke, the doe eating slowly so as not to miss a single detail of what was going on at the end of the table. \n\n\n“I guess we do,” Jack added while scratching his neck. “But enough about our jobs, let's get back to eating, shall we. It would be a shame to not eat while it’s warm.” \n\n\nBonnie nodded to Jack's words, the doe was happy to know that she would not need to bring out her… ‘motherly love’, while the whole family was present.\n\n\n“Wow, this blueberry pie is good, Miss Hopps,” Nick praised. He had barely finished talking before shoving another piece into his mouth, the taste delicious and not too sweet. \n\n\n“Oh don’t praise me, it’s Jessica who takes care of the blueberry fields together with some younger kits who are still learning,” Bonnie praised, the motherly doe finding enough room in her heart to spread out the praise. Especially when it took some twenty bunnies to make enough food for the whole burrow, and she was just one part of the kitchen team.\n\n\nJessica leaned back in her seat, the smirk on her lips impeccable as she crossed her arms and pushed up her bosom in a confident manner. Her sisters rolled their eyes at her pose, but Nick saw none of this as he had his eyes on the next piece of delicious pie. \n\n\n“Do you think we could order blueberries and other vegetables from your farm for mine and Judy’s wedding, Miss Hopps?” Nick asked, while cleaning his muzzle with a handkerchief. \n\n\nBonnie looked at him puzzled, she was confused as to why they’d need to buy the products seeing as Skye and Jack hadn't for their wedding. “I’m sure that could be arranged.”\n\n\n“Why would we need to buy the food, Nick? We’ll be holding the wedding here after all,” Judy declared with a broad smile, after finishing the carrot stew she had been devouring. Judy’s smile, however, waned when she saw that Nick looked perplexed by her announcement. \n\n\nAcross the table Jack and Skye shared a knowing look, but came up short as Nick answered before they could. “Hold it here? But, why would we need so much space?”\n\n\n“W-well we need it for mine and your family of course, there’s essentially no way we could hold it in Zootopia. Although I’m sure the force would love the short commute.” Judy retorted, laying down the silverware in her hands.\n\n\n“W-wait,” Nick stammered and looked around at the hundreds of bunnies in the hall. “You’re telling me that you want all of the bunnies currently present to be there for our wedding, and also the whole force?” Silence spread at Nick’s end of the table as no answer came.\n\n\n‘Wasn’t that obvious?’ the confused doe thought as she looked at her fiancée. A blush crept up her ears as she realised what she’d forgotten. \n\n\n“R-right, you’re a city animal. This must be quite confusing for you,” she spoke that last part in a whisper, hand scratching her neck as she gave an apologetic smile to her mate.\n\n\n“I mean, it's not just about it being a city thing,” Nick replied. “We foxes really don't go in for big weddings at all. We invite our parents, and maybe a really close friend or sibling.”\n\n\n“What about the priest?” one of Judy’s sisters proclaimed.\n\n\n“Actually, normally one of our parents takes up the mantle of priest… makes it more special and way more private for the couple it’s all about.” He blushed slightly while smiling, feeling like this whole thing was getting awkward as he hadn’t ever really been to a fox wedding.\n\n\n“Really, so you guys don’t do grand venues of any sort?” Jessica spoke further down the table, her ears peaked up at just how weird fox wedding traditions sounded.\n\n\n“Eh, no,” he replied, feeling like everyone was turning to look at him. “We usually do it at home. It's a private thing, having lots of animals present would dilute the specialness of the…” he trailed off as Judy’s sisters were starting to look a bit annoyed. \n\n\nBonnie and Stu didn’t look angry, rather they seemed to smile at his words. ‘They have probably heard this one time already from Skye,’ he internally reasoned.\n\n\nThough Judy’s sisters weren’t as understanding, he supposed it made sense. He was kind of saying that their way of marriage was wrong, which… Well, it wasn't wrong for them, but for him, it sure felt like it was. The idea of inviting animals whose names he barely remembered, and almost didn’t know, to his wedding of all places… It was, weird?\n\n\nHe met Judy's eyes and found that she wasn't looking happy either, though she looked more sad than angry, and that made his heart wrench.\n\n\n“But eh, when in Roam,” he said, pushing down his own feelings to put on a fake smile for the sake of his mate, “Do as the rams.” That seemed to defuse the situation, but the look Judy gave him told him that this wasn't over.\n\n\nHe flinched as he felt a paw on his shoulder and turned to find Skye giving him a reassuring smile, the vixen reaching over to comfort him from across the table.\n\n\n“It's okay,” she said. “I mean, I get it. I was shocked too when I found out about… how very differently they do things compared to us.” She let her paw linger on him and he swore he could see a faint blush on her cheeks.\n\n\n‘Okay, strange,’ Nick thought, though he was glad they seemed to have worked it out between them. If it worked for Skye and Jack, then he and Judy could probably find a compromise too… though hopefully one that included a few hundred less bunnies.\n\n\n“But, you… decided to go along with it?” he asked her. “Why?”\n\n\nHe hoped the question wasn't taken as an insult, he really wanted to know how Jack had managed to convince her to go along with all of this. He didn't think he could ever give up the intimacy of a wedding with Judy to a crowd this large, especially since the vows foxes make to their mate tends to be a bit… Well, not for everybody's ears he supposed.\n\n\n“I guess it all pretty much depended on our line of work… though, I definitely did have some personal say in terms of lots of other traditions.” Her answer only earned her a raised eyebrow from Nick and a soft chuckle from her soon to be husband.\n\n\n“Bunnies are good at keeping secrets and overall security in terms of venues and all that,” Jack started. “So seeing as we’re both agents for the MI6, then we thought it the best and the safest to keep ourselves away from big city centres.” His answer earned him a more profound response from Nick as he nodded in full understanding.\n\n\n“And it’s not like this is a normal wedding either,” Bonnie added. “My dear little Jack here was adopted from a first litter, and even despite those privileges he decided to get married as if he was from a later litter like the ones at this table, my wonderful seventh litter kits.” \n\n\nHer overbearing words earned her an eye roll from her daughters, the situation as if defused completely upon Judy’s parents giggling at their childish reactions. \n\n\nThat also surprised Nick. Why would it matter if the kits were first or later litters? Foxes never differentiated between their pups, assuming they had more than one to begin with. Before he could ask though, Jessica changed the topic.\n\n\n“On the topic of more mundane traditions, what dishes do you foxes tend to serve at these private weddings you hold?” Her large purple eyes were glued to the red fox’s green ones.\n\n\n“Well,” he racked his brain. They always prepared ocean fish for special occasions like their weddings. “Blue finned tuna is usually the main dish, if the couple can afford it. If not, then any kind of sea fish really. Salmon isn't too uncommon since that's something we’ve historically been able to catch on our own,” Nick explained mundanely.\n\n\n“You can catch salmon?!” a random kit from one of the nearby tables asked, their eyes going wide while spreading their arms out as wide as they would go. “Aren't those like thiiiis big?!” \n\n\n“Well it takes a lot of skill, but yes,” Nick chuckled, taking pride in the fact even if he hadn't gone fishing since he was a pup, and had never caught a fish in the old school manner.\n\n\n“Wow!” The kit cheered and made gnashing motions with their teeth to try and mimic Nick's muzzle. A few of the other kits looked uncomfortable at the display though.\n\n\n“Anyway,” Nick continued, eager to move the topic away from the predator/prey relationship theme, especially since he was surrounded and severely outnumbered. “We also eat a lot of fruit, like you guys. Any sort of berry is appreciated, like this.” He held up the plate with the half eaten slice of blueberry pie. “This would fit in perfectly at a fox wedding.”\n\n\nThat seemed to lower the tensions and the conversation turned more casual as the meal progressed and the other tables went back to having their own chats.\n\n\nNick couldn't help but notice though that even if Skye had eventually removed her paw from his shoulder, she was still leaning in a bit closer than was appropriate, especially since both were engaged and their fiances present. But neither Judy nor Jack seemed to mind so he supposed that was just another weird bunny thing.\n\n\nIt was then that he spotted it, this time certain of what Skye was up to. That nose of hers was smelling the air, though why would she– ‘Oh no. No, no, no! I’m not wearing my deodorant!’ his pupils shrank to the point of night vision mode, cold sweat accompanying his shock.\n\n\nHe tried to remain calm, yet the blush beneath Skye’s pink fur was unmistakable. ‘Shit! I probably reek of musk because I followed Judy’s advice!’ His fur hid the blush that was consuming him well, but for once he knew that his poker face wasn’t enough – His body language was screaming fear and nervousness, and Skye likely saw that.\n\n\nJudy suddenly felt a tail stroke against her exposed back, the familiar feel of Nick’s tail meaning she didn’t even have to move a muscle. ‘Why’s he nervous?’ the doe wondered, Nick normally only ever reached out like this with his tail when he was put on the spot.\n\n\nCase in point, Judy finally picked up the loud sound (for a bunny that is) of Skye inspecting the aroma around the table. ‘What’s the matter, Nick, she’s just appreciating the foo—Oh.’ She was reminded of the slickness between her legs, and then what she had instructed for Nick to do right before they left their bedroom. \n\n\n‘Think fast, this situation can’t be more difficult to solve than a damn missing mammal case!’ \nHer finger drummed against her thigh, eyes focused on the food so as not to get distracted. \n\n\n“Would you look at the time, I think we better call it a night.” Jack stood up and stretched his sore body, the striped bunny giving his sisters a nod before giving his parents a hug and a thank you for the wonderful food. \n\n\n“What, already?” Skye looked confused for a moment, the arctic fox looking sad before Jack showed her his watch. “Oh my… alright, I think we better get going. We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow, hope to see you all at the venue and so on.” \n\n\n“Oh, before we leave,” Jack added. “Let's talk after the wedding about traditions, Nick. I’m sure me and Skye can help you two out big time,” he promised.\n\n\nA row of goodbyes echoed across the room as the couple left the dining hall.\n\n\n“See you tomorrow.”\n\n\n“Eight o’clock sharp, girl. We gotta get that makeup done!” \n\n\n“Cider in my room if you wanna calm your nerves, Jack!”\n\n\n“Have a good night's sleep you two.” \n\n\nSo on went the many replies as they waved goodbye to the slowly emptying dinner hall, with many of the kits having already been taken to bed by then. \n\n\n“I think it’s about time for us to get going as well, planning and packing things for this little trip was exhausting. The police force didn’t exactly make it easy. Right, my Darling Fox?” \n\n\nNick gave her hand a small squeeze before agreeing with her, the canine far more relaxed knowing that there wasn’t a master nose present to sniff out something it shouldn’t. \n\n\nThey excused themselves and stood up, the two standing hand in hand while wishing goodnight to all of Judy’s sisters and her parents.\n\n\n“Hold up, before you two leave,” a voice called out, the tone none other than Jessica’s. “I’ve got a few questions if you don’t mind, and it’s probably best to do it now when no kits are awake to overhear us,” she reasoned, gesturing to the complete lack of non-grown ups.\n\n\n“What is it, sis?”\n\n\nNick noticed that several of the sisters at the table were perking their large ears and leaning in. He got a bad feeling as she realised this was something they were all curious about. He made eye contact with Jessica, who had a very cheeky grin on her muzzle. \n\n\nShe made a few sniffing motions with her nose, which made Nick's heart race. ‘Bunnies don't have that good a sense of smell!’ he tried to tell himself.\n\n\n“So…” she asked, a glint in her eye. “You two haven't made your rings yet, have you?”\n\n\n‘What?’ The question took Nick off guard. Why would she ask that of all things? Why did she say, ‘made’? It wasn't like he was a blacksmith, and why would he have brought the rings to some other couple's wedding even if he had?\n\n\nHe had proposed, but it’d be rude to wear engagement rings to another bunny's wedding, especially when it was a bunny from the same litter which Judy came from… sort of.\n\n\nHe looked down at his future wife and bunny to explain, but she looked to be more flustered than him. That couldn't be a good sign. Had he messed up another bunny tradition?\n\n\n“N-n-no!” Judy stammered out, her cheeks crimson. “Why would you ask that? It's private!”\n\n\n‘It is?’ Nick wondered, now even more confused. Sure, it wasn't really any of their business, but buying rings wasn't something to be embarrassed about either, was it?\n\n\n“Oh, I just thought I smelled something,” Jessica smiled innocently, making the couple share a worried look, with Judy the more expressional of them.\n\n\n“No, I don't think so,” Nick lied smoothly. He was also pretty sure she couldn't smell them, but she had almost caught them earlier and could probably put two and two together.\n\n\n“Huh, maybe not.” The bunny leaned back, letting Nick and Judy relax for a second before she hit them with the follow up. “Could have sworn Skye did though, especially with the way she was looking at you two.”\n\n\n“Jessica, that’s highly inappropriate,” Bonnie countered before getting shushed by her own daughters en masse, the whole litter invested in what Jessica was doing.\n\n\n“Is it?” Jessica said, laying on the innocence thick. “I think we're all interested to know,” her eyes moved over to Judy and she lowered her voice further. “How are foxes in bed?” \n\n\n“Jessica!” her mother barked.\n\n\nNick found himself stared at by a table full of bunnies, all very eager to know what sex with a predator was like. He glanced over at Judy, but she was too flustered to be of any help. Too bad, he would’ve happily bolted for it if that hadn't meant leaving her behind.\n\n\n“You know what,” he said, feeling like he'd had enough of this. “Why don't you ask your brother instead?” Nick nodded towards the door through which Jack and Skye had left.\n\n\n“Like he'd know,” Jessica rolled her eyes.\n\n\n‘What?!’ Nick frowned. But then again, maybe they were saving themselves for the marriage too? Just like he and Judy where? …They probably also did oral, though that doesn’t count. But then why would she think Judy would know more than Jack?\n\n\n“Fine,” he said, standing up. “Ask him tomorrow then.”\n\n\nTo his surprise the bunnies looked surprised as well. They all gave him quizzical looks. “Why would he know by then?” one of the sisters whose name he didn't know asked.\n\n\n“Because,” now Nick felt it was his time to blush. ‘How could they ask such bold questions and then be so oblivious?’ “Because of the wedding night, of course.”\n\n\nJessica seemed to have gotten her smirk back. “I don’t think they’re that interested in consummating their marriage to be honest, last I checked neither wanted kits or pups.”\n\n\n“Well I do,” Nick burst out before he could stop himself from sounding desperate. For some reason the ladies around the table started laughing, though not Stu or Bonnie.\n\n\nBefore Nick could open his big mouth again, an embarrassed Judy pulled at his arm, the fox caught off guard as she used her full weight to pull him out of the hall. “Goodnight!” she said, afraid that Nick might cause even more drama, chaos, or something completely different. \n\n\nHer mind raged with humiliation and disappointment in herself. ‘Oh by the Maker I should have talked to him sooner about traditions! Stupid, stupid me! How could I be so foolish? Of course our two worlds wouldn’t magically mix perfectly for a wedding of all things!’ \n\n\nTo Be Continued…\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR DRAGON MEMBER:\n\n\n\n\nGRAHAM NOLEN",

Their eyes had barely met as they approached the table before the bridal pair stood up and walked around the table towards them.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Hi! My name is Skye, Sky Snowfall.&rdquo; She shook hands with first Judy, and then Nick. They shared a knowing look for a bit, the unspoken conversation lost on the others as they spoke with body language, a communication form often used by animals who wanted a bit of privacy when around the many other species which made up their everyday life. <br /><br /><br />&lsquo;I see you fell for the bunny beauty phenomenon.&rsquo;<br /><br /><br />&lsquo;Touche, sister. Touche,&rsquo; Nick almost blurted out as she gave him one hell of a knowing look, as it seemed like they were in the same boat, or burrow in this case. <br /><br /><br />Neither cared what made the other fall in love with a bunny, they were just happy to know that they weren&rsquo;t alone amongst hundreds of curious bunnies, as the kits around the various tables looked at them as if they were rare game characters.<br /><br /><br />Though her grip tightened as their handshake got prolonged&hellip; Was she, smelling the air?<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Nick, was it? I hope the things you&rsquo;ve heard about me are good,&rdquo; Nick joked as he looked into the smaller male&#039;s blue eyes. They were deep, but not as deep as Skye&rsquo;s or as captivating as Judy&rsquo;s, though they had their allure, Nick could see why Skye fell in love.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Oh I&rsquo;d say, good can&rsquo;t quite describe the stories I&rsquo;ve heard. Tell me, is it true that you and Judy inspired a whole generation of animals to become cops?&rdquo; <br /><br /><br />And off their conversation went as they sat themselves at the table, the two couples smiling and chatting, a sight which made most of the rabbits at the table enthusiastic and happy.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Wait, so you guys are part of the Mammal Intelligence 6, THE MI6?&rdquo; Nick fanboyed over the recent revelation of Skye and Jack&rsquo;s workplace (it was supposed to be a secret, but Jack knew that bunnies were good at keeping secrets, and Nick was a cop). <br /><br /><br />For all four of them to be part of law enforcement units, it wasn&rsquo;t just an intriguing revelation, but an awesome blessing. It meant that they had tons of stuff in common, especially as Jack had also been involved in the recent case that Nick had been going undercover for.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Yep, though Jack was an employee before I even knew of the agency. We met during his first case,&rdquo; Skye spoke, all of the sisters at the table looking her way with eagerness in their eyes, all of them purple like Judy&rsquo;s.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;You guys really got a lot in common,&rdquo; Jessica spoke, the doe eating slowly so as not to miss a single detail of what was going on at the end of the table. <br /><br /><br />&ldquo;I guess we do,&rdquo; Jack added while scratching his neck. &ldquo; But enough about our jobs, let&#039;s get back to eating, shall we. It would be a shame to not eat while it&rsquo;s warm.&rdquo; <br /><br /><br />Bonnie nodded to Jack&#039;s words, the doe was happy to know that she would not need to bring out her&hellip; &lsquo;motherly love&rsquo;, while the whole family was present.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Wow, this blueberry pie is good, Miss Hopps,&rdquo; Nick praised. He had barely finished talking before shoving another piece into his mouth, the taste delicious and not too sweet. <br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Oh don&rsquo;t praise me, it&rsquo;s Jessica who takes care of the blueberry fields together with some younger kits who are still learning,&rdquo; Bonnie praised, the motherly doe finding enough room in her heart to spread out the praise. Especially when it took some twenty bunnies to make enough food for the whole burrow, and she was just one part of the kitchen team.<br /><br /><br />Jessica leaned back in her seat, the smirk on her lips impeccable as she crossed her arms and pushed up her bosom in a confident manner. Her sisters rolled their eyes at her pose, but Nick saw none of this as he had his eyes on the next piece of delicious pie. <br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Do you think we could order blueberries and other vegetables from your farm for mine and Judy&rsquo;s wedding, Miss Hopps?&rdquo; Nick asked, while cleaning his muzzle with a handkerchief. <br /><br /><br />Bonnie looked at him puzzled, she was confused as to why they&rsquo;d need to buy the products seeing as Skye and Jack hadn&#039;t for their wedding. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m sure that could be arranged.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Why would we need to buy the food, Nick? We&rsquo;ll be holding the wedding here after all,&rdquo; Judy declared with a broad smile, after finishing the carrot stew she had been devouring. Judy&rsquo;s smile, however, waned when she saw that Nick looked perplexed by her announcement. <br /><br /><br />Across the table Jack and Skye shared a knowing look, but came up short as Nick answered before they could. &ldquo;Hold it here? But, why would we need so much space?&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;W-well we need it for mine and your family of course, there&rsquo;s essentially no way we could hold it in Zootopia. Although I&rsquo;m sure the force would love the short commute.&rdquo; Judy retorted, laying down the silverware in her hands.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;W-wait,&rdquo; Nick stammered and looked around at the hundreds of bunnies in the hall. &ldquo; You&rsquo;re telling me that you want all of the bunnies currently present to be there for our wedding, and also the whole force?&rdquo; Silence spread at Nick&rsquo;s end of the table as no answer came.<br /><br /><br />&lsquo;Wasn&rsquo;t that obvious?&rsquo; the confused doe thought as she looked at her fianc&eacute;e. A blush crept up her ears as she realised what she&rsquo;d forgotten. <br /><br /><br />&ldquo;R-right, you&rsquo;re a city animal. This must be quite confusing for you,&rdquo; she spoke that last part in a whisper, hand scratching her neck as she gave an apologetic smile to her mate.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;I mean, it&#039;s not just about it being a city thing,&rdquo; Nick replied. &ldquo; We foxes really don&#039;t go in for big weddings at all. We invite our parents, and maybe a really close friend or sibling.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;What about the priest?&rdquo; one of Judy&rsquo;s sisters proclaimed.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Actually, normally one of our parents takes up the mantle of priest&hellip; makes it more special and way more private for the couple it&rsquo;s all about.&rdquo; He blushed slightly while smiling, feeling like this whole thing was getting awkward as he hadn&rsquo;t ever really been to a fox wedding.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Really, so you guys don&rsquo;t do grand venues of any sort?&rdquo; Jessica spoke further down the table, her ears peaked up at just how weird fox wedding traditions sounded.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Eh, no,&rdquo; he replied, feeling like everyone was turning to look at him. &ldquo; We usually do it at home. It&#039;s a private thing, having lots of animals present would dilute the specialness of the&hellip;&rdquo; he trailed off as Judy&rsquo;s sisters were starting to look a bit annoyed. <br /><br /><br />Bonnie and Stu didn&rsquo;t look angry, rather they seemed to smile at his words. &lsquo; They have probably heard this one time already from Skye,&rsquo; he internally reasoned.<br /><br /><br />Though Judy&rsquo;s sisters weren&rsquo;t as understanding, he supposed it made sense. He was kind of saying that their way of marriage was wrong, which&hellip; Well, it wasn&#039;t wrong for them, but for him, it sure felt like it was. The idea of inviting animals whose names he barely remembered, and almost didn&rsquo;t know, to his wedding of all places&hellip; It was, weird?<br /><br /><br />He met Judy&#039;s eyes and found that she wasn&#039;t looking happy either, though she looked more sad than angry, and that made his heart wrench.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;But eh, when in Roam,&rdquo; he said, pushing down his own feelings to put on a fake smile for the sake of his mate, &ldquo;Do as the rams.&rdquo; That seemed to defuse the situation, but the look Judy gave him told him that this wasn&#039;t over.<br /><br /><br />He flinched as he felt a paw on his shoulder and turned to find Skye giving him a reassuring smile, the vixen reaching over to comfort him from across the table.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;It&#039;s okay,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;I mean, I get it. I was shocked too when I found out about&hellip; how very differently they do things compared to us.&rdquo; She let her paw linger on him and he swore he could see a faint blush on her cheeks.<br /><br /><br />&lsquo;Okay, strange,&rsquo; Nick thought, though he was glad they seemed to have worked it out between them. If it worked for Skye and Jack, then he and Judy could probably find a compromise too&hellip; though hopefully one that included a few hundred less bunnies.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;But, you&hellip; decided to go along with it?&rdquo; he asked her. &ldquo; Why?&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />He hoped the question wasn&#039;t taken as an insult, he really wanted to know how Jack had managed to convince her to go along with all of this. He didn&#039;t think he could ever give up the intimacy of a wedding with Judy to a crowd this large, especially since the vows foxes make to their mate tends to be a bit&hellip; Well, not for everybody&#039;s ears he supposed.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;I guess it all pretty much depended on our line of work&hellip; though, I definitely did have some personal say in terms of lots of other traditions.&rdquo; Her answer only earned her a raised eyebrow from Nick and a soft chuckle from her soon to be husband.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Bunnies are good at keeping secrets and overall security in terms of venues and all that,&rdquo; Jack started. &ldquo; So seeing as we&rsquo;re both agents for the MI6, then we thought it the best and the safest to keep ourselves away from big city centres.&rdquo; His answer earned him a more profound response from Nick as he nodded in full understanding.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;And it&rsquo;s not like this is a normal wedding either,&rdquo; Bonnie added. &ldquo; My dear little Jack here was adopted from a first litter, and even despite those privileges he decided to get married as if he was from a later litter like the ones at this table, my wonderful seventh litter kits.&rdquo; <br /><br /><br />Her overbearing words earned her an eye roll from her daughters, the situation as if defused completely upon Judy&rsquo;s parents giggling at their childish reactions. <br /><br /><br />That also surprised Nick. Why would it matter if the kits were first or later litters? Foxes never differentiated between their pups, assuming they had more than one to begin with. Before he could ask though, Jessica changed the topic.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;On the topic of more mundane traditions, what dishes do you foxes tend to serve at these private weddings you hold?&rdquo; Her large purple eyes were glued to the red fox&rsquo;s green ones.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Well,&rdquo; he racked his brain. They always prepared ocean fish for special occasions like their weddings. &ldquo;Blue finned tuna is usually the main dish, if the couple can afford it. If not, then any kind of sea fish really. Salmon isn&#039;t too uncommon since that&#039;s something we&rsquo;ve historically been able to catch on our own,&rdquo; Nick explained mundanely.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;You can catch salmon?!&rdquo; a random kit from one of the nearby tables asked, their eyes going wide while spreading their arms out as wide as they would go. &ldquo;Aren&#039;t those like thiiiis big?!&rdquo; <br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Well it takes a lot of skill, but yes,&rdquo; Nick chuckled, taking pride in the fact even if he hadn&#039;t gone fishing since he was a pup, and had never caught a fish in the old school manner.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Wow!&rdquo; The kit cheered and made gnashing motions with their teeth to try and mimic Nick&#039;s muzzle. A few of the other kits looked uncomfortable at the display though.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Anyway,&rdquo; Nick continued, eager to move the topic away from the predator/prey relationship theme, especially since he was surrounded and severely outnumbered. &ldquo; We also eat a lot of fruit, like you guys. Any sort of berry is appreciated, like this.&rdquo; He held up the plate with the half eaten slice of blueberry pie. &ldquo; This would fit in perfectly at a fox wedding.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />That seemed to lower the tensions and the conversation turned more casual as the meal progressed and the other tables went back to having their own chats.<br /><br /><br />Nick couldn&#039;t help but notice though that even if Skye had eventually removed her paw from his shoulder, she was still leaning in a bit closer than was appropriate, especially since both were engaged and their fiances present. But neither Judy nor Jack seemed to mind so he supposed that was just another weird bunny thing.<br /><br /><br />It was then that he spotted it, this time certain of what Skye was up to. Why would she ask that of all things? Why did she say, &lsquo;made&rsquo;? It wasn&#039;t like he was a blacksmith, and why would he have brought the rings to some other couple&#039;s wedding even if he had?<br /><br /><br />He had proposed, but it&rsquo;d be rude to wear engagement rings to another bunny&#039;s wedding, especially when it was a bunny from the same litter which Judy came from&hellip; sort of.<br /><br /><br />He looked down at his future wife and bunny to explain, but she looked to be more flustered than him. That couldn&#039;t be a good sign. Had he messed up another bunny tradition?<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;N-n-no!&rdquo; Judy stammered out, her cheeks crimson. &ldquo; Why would you ask that? It&#039;s private!&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />&lsquo;It is?&rsquo; Nick wondered, now even more confused. Sure, it wasn&#039;t really any of their business, but buying rings wasn&#039;t something to be embarrassed about either, was it?<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Oh, I just thought I smelled something,&rdquo; Jessica smiled innocently, making the couple share a worried look, with Judy the more expressional of them.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;No, I don&#039;t think so,&rdquo; Nick lied smoothly. He was also pretty sure she couldn&#039;t smell them, but she had almost caught them earlier and could probably put two and two together.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Huh, maybe not.&rdquo; The bunny leaned back, letting Nick and Judy relax for a second before she hit them with the follow up. &ldquo;Could have sworn Skye did though, especially with the way she was looking at you two.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Jessica, that&rsquo;s highly inappropriate,&rdquo; Bonnie countered before getting shushed by her own daughters en masse, the whole litter invested in what Jessica was doing.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Is it?&rdquo; Jessica said, laying on the innocence thick. &ldquo;I think we&#039;re all interested to know,&rdquo; her eyes moved over to Judy and she lowered her voice further. &ldquo; How are foxes in bed?&rdquo; <br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Jessica!&rdquo; her mother barked.<br /><br /><br />Nick found himself stared at by a table full of bunnies, all very eager to know what sex with a predator was like. He glanced over at Judy, but she was too flustered to be of any help. Too bad, he would&rsquo;ve happily bolted for it if that hadn&#039;t meant leaving her behind.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;You know what,&rdquo; he said, feeling like he&#039;d had enough of this. &ldquo; Why don&#039;t you ask your brother instead?&rdquo; Nick nodded towards the door through which Jack and Skye had left.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Like he&#039;d know,&rdquo; Jessica rolled her eyes.<br /><br /><br />&lsquo;What?!&rsquo; Nick frowned. But then again, maybe they were saving themselves for the marriage too? Just like he and Judy where? &hellip; They probably also did oral, though that doesn&rsquo;t count. But then why would she think Judy would know more than Jack?<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Fine,&rdquo; he said, standing up. &ldquo;Ask him tomorrow then.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />To his surprise the bunnies looked surprised as well. They all gave him quizzical looks. &ldquo; Why would he know by then?&rdquo; one of the sisters whose name he didn&#039;t know asked.<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Because,&rdquo; now Nick felt it was his time to blush. &lsquo; How could they ask such bold questions and then be so oblivious?&rsquo; &ldquo;Because of the wedding night, of course.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />Jessica seemed to have gotten her smirk back. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t think they&rsquo;re that interested in consummating their marriage to be honest, last I checked neither wanted kits or pups.&rdquo;<br /><br /><br />&ldquo;Well I do,&rdquo; Nick burst out before he could stop himself from sounding desperate. For some reason the ladies around the table started laughing, though not Stu or Bonnie.<br /><br /><br />Before Nick could open his big mouth again, an embarrassed Judy pulled at his arm, the fox caught off guard as she used her full weight to pull him out of the hall. &ldquo;Goodnight!&rdquo; she said, afraid that Nick might cause even more drama, chaos, or something completely different. <br /><br /><br />Her mind raged with humiliation and disappointment in herself. &lsquo;Oh by the Maker I should have talked to him sooner about traditions! Stupid, stupid me! How could I be so foolish? Of course our two worlds wouldn&rsquo;t magically mix perfectly for a wedding of all things!&rsquo; <br /><br /><br />To Be Continued&hellip;<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />A SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR DRAGON MEMBER:<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />GRAHAM NOLEN</span>",
