I've been meaning to draw this handsome little guy though, but i rather waited to have a batch from him before posting.
I was playing with the colors of the shading, and i think i like this one the most :) maybe i will change his eyes to this color instead of red.

i did a little scrap with loosy parts, but he pretty much did all the work of arranging, cleaning and improving.
(i was gonna put this in a character sheet template, but i couldn't for the 4000 character limit in the backstory section)
Bramble was born into a wealthy family and, at least for the first years of his life, wanted for nothing. He grew to the age of eight as the son of a (minor) lord, needing for nothing, but envious of the children of richer families. Whilst he was still young, however, the family suffered a disgrace, the details of which Bramble never fully knew and his father was stripped of his title and estates.
With mounting debts and now, no taxes from his lands, Bramble's father had no choice but to sell off the assets he still had, when that wasn't enough, he sold his youngest son into slavery.
At first, the young Bramble was completely outraged. firmly believing that slavery was beneath one of his breeding and status. He was arrogant, rebellious and punished mercilessly for his attitude. Stubborn, intelligent and wily, Bramble's spirit did not break as he realised he could often trick and decieve his owners, or at very least, pretend to behave well in order to recieve praise. With a little cunning and ruthlessness, he could often get his owner to treat him better than the other slaves. Unfortunately, learning to use his youth, natural good looks and those around him to get what he wants made him quite disregard friendship and companionship and has left him quite disinterested in any kind of romantic behaviour.
This left him utterly unprepared for when another slave was made to share his cage in order to save space. Kamui was a young, grey feline, gullible, innocent and oddly clumsy for a cat. The world seemed to terrify him, leading to a mute, nervous eagerness to please above all else. Bramble was quick to take advantage of this and found it easy to trick or intimidate his cellmate out of food, his blanket and often into just biting his lip and keeping silent as the rabbit used him for sex.
Kamui's inability, or perhaps unwillingness to fight soon made Bramble feel something he was unfamilar with. Remorse. Bramble had learned a lot of how to survive as a slave. Obedience would only get you so far. You had to be quick thinking, ruthless, confident and above all, smarter than your owner to survive in this world. Kamui was none of these, as far as Bramble could see.
Kamui seemed so hopeless that Bramble found himself starting to hesitate in actions that had been up until now, almost a reflex.
It had been easy to divert blame away from himself onto one of the other slaves. After seeing Kamui take two beatings in the space of an hour, once for his own mistake and again for something that Bramble had framed him for, it was a little more difficult to bring himself to do it again.
And yet, bruised, bleeding and crying, he still laid down in the cage, presenting himself to the Rabbit so he could feel warm for a little while whilst Bramble did that thing he liked to do without the guards noticing. It felt awful that the cat would still submit to him so easily, even though he probably knew it was his fault that the kitten was punished in the first place. Hormones being what they are, Bramble still drained his libido in the younger boy, but that night he stayed where he was and they shared the blankets.
Bramble found himself starting to be protective of his cell mate, although he often resented that it meant he had to do more work, rather than setting someone else up to take the blame, he found that he preferred to do the work he was assigned to rather than have Kamui get hurt again.
Their relationship is a muddled affair. Bramble loves to trick Kamui into sex, or put him into sexual situations which leave him vulnerable. Aside from the fact that Kamui enjoys both the sex, mild sadism and the risk of being caught, he hopes that by putting Kamui into situations he doesn't enjoy it will help keep the cat from developing an emotional attachment to him and, perhaps to help him dissasociate sex with romance. Bramble does worry that sometimes Kamui seems to fall for his tricks on purpose and is still so easily manipulated by him.
Bramble denies that he has feelings for Kamui, preferring to believe that his desire to be sold to the same owner is more because they make a good team and that Kamui is an available and fun source of sex.
In spite of the positive effect that Kamui has had on his attitude towards being a slave, Bramble still has some attitude problems. He loves being right and hates being overruled for something which is obviously wrong. He loves to make bets and to play games, especially if they are sexual in nature, unfortunately he is quite a bad loser, frequently challenging his opponent again or sulking and plotting revenge in order to win back his pride. As a young adult, he has become an even more skillful liar and often practices manipulating people and his situation simply for his own entertainment.
Whilst he has quite consciously left his young, priveleged life behind him now, finding his new life being much more perverse and fun, there are still a few clues to his past in both the way he talks and the way he conducts himself. He hates to feel as though he is 'second best' and often sulks if someone else is left in charge. When given an instruction, he will regard it as his own choice rather than an order and if he can delegate it to someone he feels more fitting to the task than himself, he will.
Bramble loves the thought of being 'free' as far as he dislikes there being an authority figure he must answer to, but he knows that if he were free, he would have to support himself and doesn't like the idea of having to work for a living.
