Named by the far ancestors from the homeworlds back in the Varen’s Nebulæ, after the events that preceded the creation of the Nebulæ. The tragedic end to Pandore Varen’s voyage.
Back in ±40 000 BGI(Before the Great Impact), tribes form various planets registered their first contact with this critter, all at approximatively the same time. Théories vary from, extra terrestrial interventions to syncronised evolution.
Writen reports from Druids stipulated that trying to remove it once the process was started was impossible without leading to the host’s death.
Most Druids kept a close eye on the victimes and noticed various changes in beaviour during the three days of the process.
No mentions of any encounters where reported since the Great Exile in 500 BGI.
The ship i kept most of my specimens was lost on Seliosas in 12 AGI(After the Great Impact), spreading all the surviving creatures on board in the wild. Thus making the forests of the new homeworld as dangerous as where the ones back in the Varen’s Nebulæ.
Now i will explain the process through Garrett’s experience. As he is the first host in more than 13 000 years. Still... i feels a bit shamed he got it from my lab escapee...
Day 1:
I couldn’t find it in my lab, it's confinement was opened and the lab’s door was also open. Now for these kind of situation i have top of the line cams in all the house’s angles. So finding it wasn’t hard. Saddly (and i must admit to my greatest interest), Garrett had been sleeping at my home for a couple days. And it didn’t lose a second to find him. I turned on the scanners and set different settigns on the room’s cams. (Don’t judge me... It was too late to get up there and help him... Surley?)
I followed it’s every moves. It was rather fast yet it kept being extremly silent. I wasn’t able to register any particular sounds from it, not even the usualy gooey and sloppy noises it made it the lab. It knew exactly what to do. It then made it’s way in the poor boy’s bed, under his covers.
I turned my attention to the "not textile" cam and could admire the little wolf’s body... but let’s not get beside the point. It was sitting between his knees, as two of it’s tentacles were giving soft rubs at his inner thights. (Note to self: Varen’s Elegy knows when the target is aware of it’s presence or not, or when the target is awake or asleep. It’s very intelligent.)
Soon Garrett ’s body responded to the intimate stimuly and his penis soon found itself erected. As soon as it went into full erection, the parasite lunched itself onto it. Garrett’s eyes shot open and he trew the bedsheets on the side.
Meanwhile the parasite had already got a powerfull grip on his shaft and it’s ovipositor was swaying in the air. I also noticed four vibrant violet tendrils shaking out of it’s side bumps. Garrett srarted to move, probably to get it off, but he was stoped by the sting of the four tendrils penetrating into his shaft at startegic points with a surgical precision: two in the shaft’s veins and two in the hardened cavities.
From that point he seemed stuck, paralysed from fear. His eyes tearing up as he watched it. (Poor thing...) after a couple secondes of watching the ovipositor swaying in the air, almot taunting us. It drove into Garrett’s urethra, making him whine from the sudden intrusion. (Making me jump in surprise too...)
I focused most of my cams on the genital region, to get some views on different parts. While keeping a good angle on him, for documentation on the host’s reactions. Now Garrett has some heavy trauma and usualy is in a submissive stance to avoid conflicts. This might explain his lack of mouvements at the time. He thought the tendrils where a warning...
The cams focused onto his genitals helped me follow the travel of the ovipositor. Well ovipositors as the tip of it fork in the prostate to get into each of his vas deferens. Swiftly crawling down every parts of the epididymis, to finaly force their way in the first efferent ductules they found, only stopping in the rete testis.
And then it started pumping its spermatophores in his urethra. Hundreds of spherical protein shields containing the corrupted seed of this parasite, hurled into his testicles. The pressure of the number making him cry in pain.
As his body got limp from the pain i couldn’t stay and watch. So i joined him back in his room, to help him cope with the pain. It continued pumping the spheres for two hours before pushing the rest of it’s ovipositor inside.
When Garrett woke up, i gave him an explanation on what it was. And gave him some homemade painkillers. Seemed to help. He seemed to feel at ease with me by his side.
Such a sweet kid... i have to note that the parasite was optimised for Primitive Varens. That where known to be 1/3 bigger than Modern Varens in every ways... which means Garrett is packing quite a lot for his age.
Hopefully the three days process would go without any major problems.
