One day in a wooden cabin within Station Square, a young male hedgehog smiles as he was sat atop of a roof. He had his eyes closed and a relaxed smile on his face. The young male, named Sonic, lays back on the roof of the cabin and soon opens his eyes before looking up at the sapphire-coloured sky. 

"Hmm... what a nice day to take a nap."

Sonic soon hears footsteps nearby and feels his ear twitch. He looks down onto the balcony below him and smiles as he notices a young human looking up at him with a panicked expression.

"Sonic! What are you doing up there?!"

The young hedgehog rubs the back of his head with his hand before jumping down onto the balcony, landing next to the human, whose name was Lilly.

"Eheh... sorry mom."

Lilly puts a hand on her chest and sighs in relief before looking down at the young hedgehog.

"Goodness me! Sweetheart, I know that you always do these dangerous things but can you please try to be careful? You almost made your mother faint!"

Sonic lowers his ears and wraps an arm around Lilly's waist before nuzzling his head into her. He makes a cheerful expression and wags his tail as he looks up at her.

"Don't worry, mom... I'm fi--"

Before he could finish his sentence, Sonic closes his eyes before sneezing loudly. He shakes his head rapidly and rubs a finger against his nose. He splutters a little and groans.

The young human gasps and places a hand on the young hedgehog's head before moving it around to the back of his neck.

"Oh my! You feel really warm, sweetie!"

Sonic coughs and shakes his head, gently throwing Lilly's hands off his head and on the back of his neck.

"It's nothing, mom... I'm fine. Can I go back on the roof no--"

"No way, Mister... you have a bit of fever coming on. It's for the best that you stay inside and get comfortable."

Sonic lowers his ears and makes a begging pose.

"But mom--!"

"No buts, Mister. Inside, now."

Sonic pouts and crosses his arms as Lilly leads him inside. He coughs again and soon puts a hand on his head before leaning against the young human, whimpering slightly. Lilly soon looks down and wraps an arm around him before scooping him up into her arms.

"Shh... it'll be ok, sweetie."

The blue blur sneezes again and weakly holds onto the young human, shivering a little. Lilly kisses his head before laying him down on his bed. She wraps a fleece blanket around the young hedgehog before feeling his head once again.

Sonic coughs softly and rubs his head against her hand. She soon moves her hand away from his head and picks up an empty glass from Sonic's bedside table. 

"Now, you stay here and get some rest, sweetheart. I'll go and get you some tissues and water, ok?"

Sonic nods weakly before closing his eyes a little. Lilly looks back before heading downstairs to the kitchen.

"Ugh, this sucks..."

The young hedgehog sneezes again before grabbing a tissue and using it to blow his nose. He throws it into his bin before sighing sadly and looking out of his window.

"I wish I could go out running... but I guess it's for the best that I stay here."

Sonic sighs again before yawning and rubbing his eyes. He soon lays back against his pillow and begins to fall asleep. He snuggles into his pillow and purrs as his eyes begin to close. As soon as Sonic was about to fall fast asleep, he groans and moves around in his bed.

He soon sits up and blushes a little as he looks down at his crotch area, feeling a strong sensation within it.

"Oh great... now I need to go to the bathroom."

The young hedgehog groans as he slowly stands up. He holds onto the side of the bed to help him gain his balance before throwing his blanket off and stumbling towards the bathroom door. He groans again as he puts a hand between his legs, feeling the sensation get stronger.

"Gotta... go!"

As Sonic reaches the bathroom, he looks up and lowers his ears, noticing that the toilet was higher than he was. He reaches up with his arms and tries to pull himself up but he soon lets go, feeling too weak from his cold. He whimpers a little and soon looks around, frantically trying to find another place to urinate.

"On the floor? No way, I don't wanna leave a mess! On the wall? No, I won't sink THAT low! In the garden? Ughh... I won't even be able to make it at this rate!"

The young hedgehog groans as he continues to try jumping up onto the bath. He misses each time and soon stops before getting an idea. 

"Wait a sec, mom has that stool in her room! Maybe I could use that..."

Sonic nods before heading back to his room, he grabs the blanket and wraps it around him, still feeling a bit of a chill. He then jogs towards Lilly's room, knocking on the door.

At that moment, Lilly walked up the stairs with a tray. The tray had a bowl of soup and a glass of water. She noticed the young hedgehog wriggling around on the spot.

"Is something wrong, sweetie? What are you doing out of bed?"

Sonic yelps in surprise before turning back.

"Mom... isitokifIcanborrowyourstool?! Thanks!"

Before Lilly could even open her mouth, Sonic jogs inside and grabs the stool before jogging back to his room. Lilly makes a confused expression before following behind him.

The blue blur whines a little as he sets the stool up. He grabs onto the side of the bath and pulls himself up onto the stool. He wobbles around a bit but soon regains his balance.

"Ok, time to get this over with... then I can go back to bed."

Lilly soon gets to Sonic's bedroom door. She uses a hand in order to knock on his door. 

"Sweetie? Is everything ok?"
