[i]Ugh, finally... I thought that damn meeting would never end![/i]

Rouge sighed in relief as she slumped into her office chair, before looking over to Omega and Shadow.

"Gosh, I really hate our meetings... they're so boring!"

Shadow nodded in response as the soft fabric of his chair was a welcoming sensation.

"Couldn't agree more, Rouge."

"The meeting is very informative for us, but it does exceed the time limit for boredom."

Rouge nodded in agreement and went back onto her laptop, as Shadow checked his phone.

The black blur's eyes immediately lit up as he saw the welcoming sight of a message, saying: '1 New Message - Sonic'

[i]- Hey, Shads! Can't wait for you to come home... I'm making one of your favourites for dinner tonight~[/i]

Shadow's blue-furred sweetheart always knew how to brighten his day. 

The black blur let out a small chuckle as he immediately began to respond to him.

[i]Shadow: "Hi, Sonic. I've had such a boring day today, so I can't wait to hold you in my arms and smother you with kisses and cuddles~ You didn't have to make dinner for me though, I was going to do it. But, thank you~"

Sonic: "I do love your fluffy cuddles and sweet kisses~ And you know that you deserve a treat, sweetie~"[/i]

Shadow noticed Rouge smirking in his direction and ignored her, before looking up at the clock, noticing that it was now 6pm. 

[i]Finally, I can clock out and go home.[/i]

After bidding his teammates farewell, Shadow clocked out of the building and recovered his motorcycle from the bikeshed. 

Thankfully, both the traffic and weather were pretty decent during that evening, so there was nothing to stop Shadow from getting home to his blue-furred boyfriend.

Meanwhile, back at Sonic and Shadow's apartment;

[i]Where is he? Dinner's ready and he's not even back yet...[/i]

Sonic sighed as he tapped his foot against the floor and pouted in a bored manner.

His eyes darted over to the kitchen area, as he stared at the meal that he had prepared, now presented upon the dinner table in a tidy fashion, with small red candles, lit, around it. 

After waiting a few more seconds, Sonic soon felt his ear twitch as he heard the familiar sound of Shadow's keys jangling against the front door.

The blue blur lit up with excitment as he immediately ran straight to the front door, in order to welcome home his beloved boyfriend.

As soon as the door opened, Shadow let out a surprised yelp as Sonic lunged forward and pulled the black-furred hedgehog into a loving cuddle.

"Welcome home, Shadsy~!"

Shadow chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Sonic and leaned down to place a gentle kiss onto his muzzle.

"Thank you, Sonikku~ It's really good to be home..."

Sonic giggled as he returned the kiss before grabbing Shadow's hand and pulling him towards the dining room.

"Come and see what I've made for dinner, sweetie~"

The black blur smirked as he allowed Sonic to pull him towards the dining room. 

As they approached the dining room, Shadow inhaled deeply and felt his mouth water from the delicious scent of the food.

"Heh, I think I can already guess from the smell... is that katsu chicken curry I can smell~?"

Sonic pouted childishly as he stopped at the dining room and turned to Shadow.

"Aw, man! You ruined the surprise..."

Shadow let out a small chuckle as he walked over to the table and ruffled Sonic's quills.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart, but the smell is very recognisable. By the looks of it though, you've definitely outdone yourself with this again..~"

Sonic grinned proudly as a small blush appeared across his muzzle.

"Aw, thanks sweetie... I really tried my best with this one~"

"I can tell~"

The blue blur happily wagged his tail as he sat at the table and motioned for Shadow to sit opposite him.

The black blur followed Sonic's directions and felt his own tail wagging, as he inhaled the scent of the curry once again.

As Shadow felt his mouth water, Sonic picked up the serving spoon and began to scoop many delicious spoonfuls of the curry onto Shadow's plate, before placing it in front of him, on the table.

"I hope you enjoy it, sweetie, I made it especially for you~"

Shadow sighs contently as he watches Sonic serve his own helping before taking a spoonful of the curry sauce.

"It looks and smells divine... thank you, Sonikku~"

As Shadow took his first bite of the curry, Sonic snuck off to the kitchen and returned with a bottle of wine. He began to pour some into Shadow's glass, before pouring some into his own.

The black blur let out a small sound of satisfaction as he swallowed the curry and licked his lips afterwards. 

Shadow's ear twitched as he heard the familiar clinking sound of a bottle tapping against his glass. As Sonic finished pouring the wine, a small smirk appeared across the black blur's muzzle.

"Wine as well..? You're spoiling me, Sonikku~"

Sonic grinned as he took a sip of wine before reaching over and placing his hand on top of Shadow's.

"Well, you deserve to be spoiled every now and then, Shadsy... especially since you've spoiled me many times before~"

Shadow chuckled as he freed himself from Sonic's hand, and brought said hand up to his muzzle, before giving it a gentle kiss.

"I love you so much... you know that, right~?"

Sonic giggled as his tail wagged happily, and a small blush soon appeared across his muzzle.

"Aw, Shads... of course I know that~ Because, I love you just as much, silly~!"

The black blur smirked as he let out a small chuckle and gently released Sonic's hand, before continuing to enjoy his curry and wine.
