Little Sonic slows down and closes his eyes, feeling himself relax from the taste of the warm milk. Lilly gently picks him up and holds him close to her chest. This was done so that Sonic thought that he was drinking from his mother, an instinct that he still had.

As Sonic was close to finishing the milk he pushed the bottle away and whined. Lilly smiled, knowing that he was full and took the bottle out of his mouth, placing it on the table next to her. She then gently pats the hedgehoglet's back. Soon Sonic whimpers but then lets out a tiny burp.

"Good job! Hmm that reminds me..."

Lilly puts her hands under Sonic's armpits and gently lifts him, taking a closer look at him. The little mobian kicks his feet and looks curiously at Lilly. Lilly stares into his eyes and smiles warmly.

"You certainly are a beautiful mobian... but I don't know much about you."

Sonic coos and looks over at the basket next to them. Lilly looks at the basket too and looks inside, she soon draws her attention to a little piece of paper inside. She picks it up and reads through it.

"To Whoever finds my child, I apologise for giving such a big favour to you unexpectedly but I have to escape to my world and defend my home. It will be too dangerous to take my child with me, I hope you understand. I hope that my child, Sonic Maurice Hedgehog, will one day become a great hero much like his father before him. Please take good care of my angel. Yours Sincerely, Queen Bernadette Hedgehog."

"Q-Queen Bernadette?! You mean you're a--?!"

Sonic coos and sucks on his thumb, curiously looking at the piece of paper.

Lilly puts down the piece of paper and rubs her nose against his.

"Well... it's certainly an honour being able to look after a royal baby!"

The little mobian giggles and soon blinks before looking down at his diaper. He lowers his ears and a pink blush appears on his muzzle. Lilly notices a little wet spot on the front of his diaper and smiles.

"Looks like someone had a bit too much milk, eh?"

Lilly giggles and puts the little mobian on her shoulder before walking upstairs and into her bedroom. She lays down a spare blanket on her bed and gently places Sonic onto it. The little hedgehoglet holds onto his foot and starts chewing on it again.

"Awww... I know you like doing that but it won't be easy for me to change you."

Sonic puts his foot down and looks down at his diaper before looking up at Lilly. Lilly smiles and starts to untape Sonic's diaper before putting it into a plastic bag. Lilly smiles and grabs some wipes from her bedside cabinet and starts to clean him up. Sonic giggles and kicks his feet again until Lilly puts the wipe in the bag too.

Lilly then thinks to herself before looking back into the research book which she had brought up with her earlier. She looks back on the page and sees the "gender recognition" chapter. After inspecting the book a little further she looks down and puts a finger on her chin.

"I wonder if you have--"

The little hedgehoglet looks up at her, confusingly.

After looking at the book Lilly gently opens Sonic's legs a little then peeks down. Sonic blushes and tries to push her hands away.

"Sorry sweetie, I just want to check something..."

Lilly inspects longer before Sonic starts whimpering. She smiles and lets go of his legs.

"Just as I thought... you most certainly are a boy!"

The little cobalt hedgehog's cheeks soon turn a pale shade of red after realising what Lilly had seen.

"Aww... I'm sorry if I embarrassed you. I just wanted to check. Better to be safe than sorry, eh?"

The adult human then tickles Sonic's tummy and smiles as the little hedgehoglet giggles happily. Soon Lilly stops tickling him and picks up another diaper, she was about to put it on before she noticed Sonic wriggling around uncomfortably. The little mobian whimpers and blush appears on his cheeks once again.

"Hmm? What's the matter, Sonic?"

Sonic shivers and whines louder, wriggling around like crazy!

"Oh wait! You need to...?"

The little mobian cries out desperately. Lilly understands what the little hedgehoglet needs and soon scoops him up in her arms and takes him to the bathroom. Sonic looks around confused and blinks as he sees the object that Lilly was walking towards. He looks inside to see water at the bottom and soon whimpers, due to his "desperate need".

Lilly walks over to the object, which turns out to be a toilet. She lifts both lids and holds the little mobian over the hole inside of it, opening his legs slightly. Sonic whimpers and looks at the water below him.

"Don't worry Sonic, I promise I won't drop you."

The little hedgehoglet blinks and closes his eyes, feeling the "call of nature" about to be answered. He whines embarrassingly and soon after a short delay, nature finally takes its course. Sonic blushes and looks down at the water, watching confusingly as it begins to turn yellow. He then gives a little smile and a sigh of relief.

Lilly giggles and looks down at the little hedgehog's eyes as Sonic looks back up at her. Lilly holds him still and soon enough Sonic feels the need disappear as his bladder empties out its final contents. He smiles and wags his tail.

"Good boy!"

Lilly smiles down at him and cleans him up with some toilet paper. She then flushes the toilet which shocks Sonic and triggers him to cry once more. The little mobian holds onto Lilly and shivers in fear.

"Aww its ok Sonic, it won't hurt you..."

Lilly then pondered, before remembering that some mobian hedgehoglets were naturally unable to swim and would fear any sign of water.

"I understand now... you must be afraid of water."

Sonic sniffs and slowly nods his head, holding onto her.

Lilly kisses Sonic's cheek and lays him back down onto the mat before putting a new diaper onto him. The little mobian sucks his thumb and looks up at his carer with a puzzled expression. Lilly smiles and walks over to cupboard. She picks out a little red baby suit, once belonging to her older brother.

"I hope this fits..."

The hedgehoglet coos curiously as his carer dresses him in it. Lilly smiles and picks up the little mobian before placing him onto her shoulder. She gently rubs his back before hearing a little yawning sound.

"Aww... you must be sleepy."

Sonic holds onto Lilly's shoulder with half-open eyes and a very tired-looking expression before slowly closing his eyes. Lilly gently lays Sonic down in the basket before covering him with a clean blanket and kissing his cheek.

"Good night, my little angel."

Lilly smiles and turns off the bedroom light before closing the door, leaving the hedgehoglet to his slumber.
