As a child, Kimi was transported to Planet Earth along with her friends and family through Chaos Control and they were forced to attempt getting along with the humans and finding a new place to live. It was also here that Kimberley gained an interest in the humans' culture and habits and decided to study upon them. Thomas and Leah bought a house within Station Square after the Chaos Control event and it was there that she met Sonic, who had also been transported there, as well as his adoptive mother, Lilly, at a very young age.
