So... in a certain way... we can say that I'm finally able to get my hands on that pretty dolphin. Exciting times for both of us it seems~\n\nOf course the fact that the beluga lady is (more than) okay with this doesn't change anything about the restraint equipment the vet is using. Getting the dolphin fully immobilized in the specialized restraint device is necessary for both the handling of such a large animal during examination, and for ensuring the safety of both the animal and the vet performing the exam.\n\nAfter making sure all the straps are nice and secure, our doctor here is adding a little extra: a nice comfortable blindfold! To... keep her calm or something, and I guess to make sure that the lights in the room don't bother her during the lengthy physical exam.\n\nAfter just a few more adjustments to the restraint bed to get the beluga in a convenient position for easy access, the female is finally ready for her checkup.\n\nA thorough rectal examination is a fundamental part of the dolphins' regular checkup. The use of ample lubrication is of course essential for the animal's comfort, safety, and for providing easy entry through the female's strong anal sphincters.\n\nAnd if anyone is wondering what that peculiar purple object on the last panel is for... well... she has to be rewarded at the end, doesn't she?
