"description": "Born and raised on earth, originally as a regular human, Ishtar served in the US armed forces. As tensions began to rise all around the world as fighting for resources became common and she saw plenty of combat, even before the TITAN uprising and The Fall. \n\nWhen The Fall came and Earth's populations were being slain in droves, Ishtar would be deployed several times to hold the line for as long as possible to secure time for evacuating civilians. There was only so much the militaries could do against the overwhelming onslaught of the TITANs, as they were learning machines and adapted to any threat they were faced, building machines of slaughter on the fly. There was no winning this war, only retreat.\n\nIn trans-humanity on Earth's last stand soldiers and police, gangsters and even brave men and women who barely knew how to hold a gun held the line as they bought time for Earth's last handful of survivors to board the Space Elevator.\n\nIshtar died here. Not nearly enough civilians made it in time. Impaled and hoisted on a still spinning drill, civilians and fighters being mercilessly slaughtered around her, she unpinned a grenade in one final act of defiance.\n\nFive years later a group of Argonauts from Mitre Station boarded a derelict vessel adrift in space. On this vessel was a server, containing the memories, personalities, and thoughts from a few the long deceased of Earth. Some may even say that server contained their very souls. Trans-humanity had discovered how to outlast death with the advent of technologies like the Cortical Stack. Ishtar was one of the very, very few to have her 'self' farcasted to a server before her death.\n\nIshtar awoke in a Case, a mass produced mechanical body. A synthmorph. After her 'rebirth' she had discovered that several of her memories had been altered or maybe corrupted. Faces and names of people who she knew had weight to them were blurred or blank. Holes in her life gone. She didn't even know her own name, Ishtar Forth was later given to her by a scientist. One of the things she didn't forget was the exact moment of her death. \n\nPuting her military skills to use, as well as to pay off her debt to her saviours, Ishtar signed on as Station Security on Mitre Station. Mitre Station orbited the moon, and served as a convergence of all modern knowledge and scientific innovation. Technologies and new fields of study were found and made on Mitre Station. Further all of it was made public knowledge, anyone could learn about the ongoings of Mitre.\n\nAnother 4 years and one of Ishtar's work colleagues was interested in getting a new body and offered to sell Ishtar hers for a steal. The colleague in question was an uplifted ape, a chimpanzee, born as a regular animal before being altered.\n\nIshtar was glad to be rid of her hunk of junk machine synthmorph body and in a biomorph again. For the second time she had to get used to looking at a mirror and seeing herself in a different body, but it was well worth it to have breath again. Every expendable credit she earned would go into modifying her body. She altered her face, hair, got a nanotattoo and even a tail. For her career she augmented her muscles to go even further than what her body should be able too. She had a thin weave of armor implanted under her skin. Anti-glare for her eyes. All of this and more to better become a formidable soldier.\n\nShe would be recruited by Firewall after stopping a bombing on Mitre Station by a group of Flat Human purist terrorists. She lead the assault on where the purists were keeping the bomb and held the line once again so that they could not capture and rearm it. \n\n[right]-------[/right]\n\nSo I found this table top role-playing game called Eclipse phase. The world is very interesting and I'd very much like to play the game one day. Until then I just decided to satisfy myself in my hobby of rolling up characters in ttrpgs. Hell I might even RP with her outside of the EP setting.\n\nThis was also my first attempt at making sci fi armor.
