  "description": "For years, the antelope slaveboy had been in training by his master to be a gladiator. Having sharp reflexes and immense strength and stamina made him an ideal candidate, and a potential money maker in the gambling pits. As it happened however, the slaveboy ran across members of the much unliked religious cult which pushed notions of pacifism and nonviolence. He had became distraught over what he had been doing in the arena; one of his 'trainings' was murdering innocent slaves to get him 'used to the sight of blood'. Tormented by the souls of those he had killed, he was comforted by a slavegirl (related to one of the victims) who offered to forgive him and offered him hope. Subsequently, there was a falling in love with the girl who carried this message of redemption to him, and within weeks of their quiet meetings this led to him secretly marrying and siring a child with her. All the while, he found excuses to avoid shedding blood, though proving to be an exceptional athletic fighter in the meantime. Realizing what had happened his masters angrily decided to slaughter the other slaves and torture the boy into obedience. Warning the slaves, they made their escape... he stayed behind to cause trouble, setting the masters house on fire, killing several of the guards sent to pursue the slaves, and only barely avoiding death in combat. Captured, his master had him crucified in the public forum for all to see. Young and strong, they knew he would die slowly, but he would not tell them anything about which direction the slaves had gone, and to his dying breath under the hot sun and the jeering crowd, the part of him not in physical pain was at peace.
