Matt was rudely woken up early in the morning by his alarm clock. He pressed the snooze button on the alarm clock and turned around again to go back to sleep, only to be reminded to get up again a few minutes later by the alarm clock. This all repeated twice before Matt gave up and straightened up in his bed. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and stretched in his bed. After Matt felt himself awake enough to get up, he did so and went into the bathroom to freshen up and get dressed. In doing so, he made sure that he did not dress too fancy, since today his overall appearance should match how he goes to school. After Matt got dressed, he looked in a drawer for a cell phone. He had promised Fred yesterday that he would give him one of his old cell phones. After a quick search, he found his old cell phone. He saved his number in the contacts and put the cell phone plus the charging cable with power adapter in his school bag. Then Matt went down the stairs to the kitchen, where he prepared something to eat for school and ate his breakfast in peace. A little later Matt put on a jacket, took his school bag, left the house and headed for the school. While Matt was walking to school, he wondered how his classmates would react if he suddenly came to school without shoes. That made him nervous yesterday when he fell asleep and that doesn't leave him any peace now either. Matt looked down at his foot paws the entire time he walked and thought about his all. Matt came in his way to school at the intersection past the park. There he had to cross a traffic light to get to school. However, Matt was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't notice he was walking through a red light and nearly getting hit by a car. An apology to the driver later, Matt now walked more attentively towards school. A little later Matt reached the school and saw Fred was standing in front of the entrance looking for Matt. Some students were already standing in front of the school, still talking to each other or waiting for their friends to go to their classrooms together. And while Matt was walking to the entrance, he noticed that some of his classmates standing in front of the school were watching him as he passed them. But while in the past it was more of a condescending look, now for the first time it was looks of curiosity or amazement. Fred saw Matt before Matt reached the entrance and was relieved. "Good morning!" said Fred happily, wagging his tail. "Good morning Fred." said Matt a little listlessly. "Hey, is everything okay? Did you sleep badly?” Fred asked worriedly. "What? No no! All good. I was just in my mind. So much so that I was almost hit by a car earlier." Fred opened his eyes at this sentence and pricked up his ears. "What !? Did something happen to you!?" "No, everything's fine!" Said Matt reassuringly. After Fred's reaction, Matt wanted to change the subject quickly. "Why were you looking out for me so much?" “Well, I need someone to show me where the classroom is. And someone who shows me how everything works here at school. It’s going to be different here than it’s in the village I came from. And I have to admit that I'm a little nervous. After all, this is my first day of school here today." "Yes, not only for you today is the first day for something new..." said Matt and briefly glanced at his classmates who were standing in front of the school. When he looked back at Fred, he saw Fred look at him in confusion. Then he just pointed down at his foot paws. Then it made sense to Fred. "Oh right! Don't worry about them.” Fred patted Matt's shoulder. “The looks just make me a little crazy. It's just strange for them when the only student at school who was wearing shoes suddenly comes to school barepawed and talks to a fox they have never seen here before." Matt said, jokingly. Fred giggled "Yeah, you're right." Then the doorbell rang once. “That was the school bell. That means we have 5 minutes before the class starts. So we should go in." said Matt. "Okay, I'll just follow you." said Fred, walking after Matt. So Matt, Fred and all the other students who were in front of the school went into the building and ran into their classrooms. Fred looked around the corridor with interest as both young foxes walked to their classroom. Matt, however, noticed how some of his classmates were looking at and after him in the hallway, which made him very uncomfortable. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to go to school barepawed after all? Once in the classroom, one of his classmates, a bulldog named Billy, looked at the two foxes as they entered the classroom. "Well, Matt, has your mother lost her job and can't buy you new shoes?" said the bulldog, and burst out laughing. All of his other classmates then looked at Matt as well and then started laughing too when they saw that Matt was not wearing shoes. Matt looked down at the floor, depressed. Fred stepped in and spoke for Matt. "Why should you care?" said Fred to the bulldog. "And who are you actually?" the bulldog asked back. "A friend of Matt." "Oh, really!? What's going on here? Matt doesn't wear shoes and suddenly has at least one friend?" the bulldog asked rhetorically. "Did he pay you with his shoes so that you would at least lead him company today?" "At least he can pay me for something!" said Fred. Suddenly a murmur went through the classroom. Then the bulldog got up, but stopped. "Tell me, do you have a problem?" Fred was about to answer when a female voice could be heard behind him. "Good morning my loves!" Billy just looked grimly at Fred, snorted, and sat down again. Then the doorbell rang again. "Okay, sit down and let's start class." said the teacher. All but Matt and Fred sat down. The teacher noticed that the two were still standing in front and not sitting down. "Oh yes, we have a new classmate in our class! Would you like to introduce yourself?" "With pleasure!" said Fred to the teacher. "Hello, my name is Fred. I recently moved here from the village with my parents." Billy just shook his head, but the rest of the class looked at Fred with interest. Nobody had ever dared to stand against Billy. That made an impression on his new classmates. Billy had a problem with being defeated by Fred this time, but now he had to accept it for now. "Very nice! And it looks like you've already made a friend!" said the teacher. "Yes, we have already spent the whole weekend together!" said Fred, wagging his tail. Matt just smiled at Fred and was pleased with the statement. "Then Matt can show you everything and explain how things work here at school and what you need to know." said the teacher. Fred nodded and then sat down in an empty seat. Matt also sat down and the teacher began class. Among other things, she also told what happened on Friday and why the school was canceled. The day went off normally. The lessons were easy to understand for Fred and he had no big difficulties keeping up with the others. During the long break, Matt explained a lot to Fred about the school. And even during the long break, many of his classmates looked at Matt, but without anyone daring to speak to him. At the end of the school day, the two foxes went home together. "I'm totally exhausted for today!" said Matt as they both walked down the street. "Me too!" answered Fred and a few seconds later said "And thank you for showing me everything at school." "Well, that wasn't all of it, but most of it and I was happy to do it!" said Matt with a smile. Both chatted on their way home when Matt wanted to take a short break. "Fred, could we sit down there at the bus stop? I have to take a little break." "Uhm... sure." said Fred. Both went to the bus stop and sat down on the seats that were actually intended for waiting passengers, but no one was currently sitting there. "Is everything okay?" Fred asked worriedly. "Yeah, yes," said Matt, picking up one of his foot paws. "My paws are just hurting a little. I just need a little rest." he said and began to massage his paw in the hope that it would alleviate the pain a little. "I've never walked barepawed so much as I did today. I guess I got a little sore." "You will get used to it. It is only like this at the beginning." "I hope so." said Matt, changing foot paws to massage the other one too. Then Matt remembered something he almost forgot. "Before I forget, I've got something in my backpack for you. Just give me a moment." "Really? What? A present! Or do you want to give me your shoes, like Billy said?" "What? No! Something a lot cooler! Something you would even use too." Matt stopped rubbing his other paw, reached for his backpack and looked in it for the cell phone he'd packed earlier this morning. He found it relatively quickly and gave it to Fred. "Here, as I promised you." said Matt with a smile. "Oh my god, thank you very much!" said Fred, overjoyed and wagged his tail. "I've never had a cell phone!" "Turn it on." Fred looked at the cell phone but didn't know how to turn it on. Matt helped him. "The little button on the right..." Fred looked over there and pressed the button. The display turned on and showed a generic background image on which some standard apps were shown. "Tap on 'Contacts'". Fred did that and saw one entry there. "My number is stored there. If you have your own calling card with a phone number, you can call me anytime! And when you go back to the start screen..." Fred pressed the button with the arrow, hoping that this would be the right button. "...then you can use this app to write with me or send pictures and videos. But you need internet for that." Fred looked interested and nodded. "I don't think I can afford a calling card." Fred said a little sadly. "Then we'll find something to make it work for you too. But until then you can familiarize yourself a little with the phone." Fred left the chat app and went back to the phone app. There he saw that in addition to Matt's name and phone number, there was also a placeholder for a photo. "Can I take a picture of you? So that I can use it for you here?" "Yes, of course!" said Matt and sat down a little more properly. Fred looked around, however, and leaned closer to Matt. "Can I take a picture of your foot paws? I think they look very cute!" Matt gave Fred a strange look and at first had doubts, but then agreed. "Uhm, yeah... okay." "Thank you! I would like to take a photo from the underside of your foot paws". Matt then angled his legs so that his knees could touch his muzzle. Fred got up from the bank and kneeled in front of Matt so that he had a perfect angle from below to photograph the soles of Matt's feet, which were already very dark from all the dirt from walking barepawed. Fred took a picture and looked at it briefly on the display. "Thanks Matt!" said Fred. Matt let his foot paws down again and then got up too. "Yeah, no problem. We can then go on." So both foxes continued their way home. At the intersection, the two parted ways. "Okay Matt, thanks for the cell phone. It's good to see you again tomorrow." said Fred, giving Matt a kiss on his cheek. "See you tomorrow then!" he said with a giggle and crossed the street. Matt couldn't realize what was happening anytime soon. He only looked after Fred for a moment and then continued walking down the street himself. When he got home, Matt checked to see if his mother was already at home, but she wasn't. Then he made himself a quick snack and did his homework. When he was done with everything, he played a few more games on his game console. Later that evening Matt took a shower and got ready for bed. And before he lay down, Matt looked at his cell phone and saw a message from an unknown user that he just received four minutes ago. "Hello Matt, it's Fred!" was the message. Matt was a little puzzled. "How can Fred send me a message?" He thought to himself and asked exactly that to the sender of the message. Shortly afterwards he got the answer. "Somebody around here has not protected his WLAN with a password. The signal is weak, but we can still write with each other!" That answer made sense to Matt. "That's cool!" wrote Matt. "Yes, I think so too. By the way, I would like to return the favor from you." wrote Fred. Then a picture was uploaded to the chat. The picture showed a couple of foot paws that were definitely Fred's. Matt was sure of that! Fred's paws were also very dark from all the dirt that had accumulated underneath over the day. "Sweet! You have some great paws too!" answered Matt. "Thanks. But not as cute as yours." Matt was very flattered when Fred said this. He didn't even know how to answer Fred. But Matt noticed how his dick was slowly getting stiff. It made him very uncomfortable, even if there was no one to see him. Still, he wanted to end the chat quickly. "Thanks. I am tired and would like to sleep now." "Oh, all right. Good night then and see you tomorrow!" wrote Fred and sent a kiss emoji afterwards. Matt didn't know how to interpret this. However, that didn't help to make his penis soft again. The contrary was the case. But now Matt snuggled into his bed and tried to fall asleep. But his erection made it a little harder for him. ##### Over the next few days, Matt showed Fred a lot at school. Some things went differently than at Fred's school in the village at the time. Fred secretly thought the new school was totally bad, but Matt made it bearable for him. Even his classmates no longer ignored Matt and even started talking to him! The initial looks that his classmates threw after him did not materialize. For Matt, it was funny what a pair of shoes can do. But at least he didn't step out of line anymore and his classmates began to like and accept him. On Friday morning, Matt was standing in front of the school entrance and was waiting for Fred to go into the classroom with him, when one of his classmates approached him and asked if he could help him with something. Matt was helpful and followed his classmate. Both went around a corner when Matt suddenly saw Billy standing in front of him. But before Matt could react, Billy grabbed him at the collar of his shirt and picked him up. "So, who do we have there?" said Billy with a shabby smile on his face. The classmate went back and left Matt to his fate with Billy. Matt was trembling all over. He didn't even know what Billy was going to do with him and there was no one who could have helped him. "Matt, I'll tell you one thing: I won't let myself be embarrassed again by a little rag like you!" Then Billy looked around and saw the school's garbage can. He went to the trash cans and said to Matt: "And so you can remember that..." In the meantime, Billy took the lid off one of the garbage cans. Then Matt tried to ask Billy for mercy. "Billy, please don't do this!" "You should have thought about that beforehand!" Said Billy and threw Matt upside down in the garbage can. "I hope this is a lesson for you!" Only Matt's foot paws peeked out of the top of the bin. Billy walked away, leaving Matt there in the garbage can. #### Fred arrived at the school a little later. As he walked by, he saw a pair of paws sticking out of one of the garbage cans from afar. "Those foot paws look familiar..." thought Fred and instead of going to the entrance he went to the school garbage cans. "Matt?" asked Fred. “Fred!? Luckily you are there! Can you please help me to get out of here?" asked Matt. "Sure!" Fred tried to pull Matt out by his paws, but he couldn't. So he tried to tip the bin over, which worked. Matt crawled out of the bin, trying as best he could to get rid of the trash that was clinging to him. "Why did you get in the garbage can?" asked Fred. “Billy put me in there! I was still angry about what happened on Monday. He said I shouldn't embarrass him again in front of the whole class." “Why YOU? If so, then I must have embarrassed him in front of the class!" corrected Fred. But after seeing Matt throw him a questioning look, he just said "Sorry." Fred helped Matt get rid of the trash that was still clinging to him. “Urgh, Matt! You smell terrible! How long have you been in there?" Matt was totally embarrassed. “Not long at all. I can't go to the classroom like this!" “But you have to! Lessons start any moment!" Fred was right. For better or worse, Matt had to go to class with his bad smell. Fred helped Matt clear the last bits of trash from his body before they rushed to their class. Once there, Billy sat in his seat with a big grin on his face and didn't show any sign that something happened. Matt went to his seat and sat down. His classmates quickly noticed that Matt didn't smell very pleasant. But they did not have much time to inquire because the lessons began. The day was far from going well for Matt. Of course, Matt was annoyed because he smelled like someone from the garbage disposal. It was very commendable of Fred that he tried to save Matt from verbal attacks from his classmates, but unfortunately that didn't do much good. School was hell for Matt that day and he couldn't wait for school to be over so he could shower at home and forget about the day's events. After school was over and Matt had a shower at home, he immediately felt a lot better. To his surprise, his mother was home too. So he had to put on shoes quickly when entering the house so that his mother would not suspect that he was actually no longer wearing shoes. But Matt took the opportunity to ask his mother if he could possibly invite a friend over for tomorrow. Matt's mother agreed. She also didn't know if she would see Fred anyway, as it was very likely that she would have to go back to work. This would come in handy for Matt if she had to work. The evening was relatively unspectacular. In bed, Matt asked via the chat app on his phone if Fred would like to visit him. Fred definitely wanted to visit Matt at his house and he was looking forward to it. Matt sent Fred his address. Both wrote a while before they fell asleep. It will be a great weekend for both of them ...
