I need to ease myself back in.\n\nI came across a watercolor I did during a weekend where I was battling extreme depression and feelings of hanging myself, to be very open. \nThe thing is that I made it through, I'm still here. Our first instinct when something hurts is to pull back away from it, \nwhich is understandable. It's called a reflex for a reason. However, with my depression, I pushed through it, and when I \nsee the signs of its return, I'm stronger and it's easier to push through it again.
