The farms didn't have enough money for a resurrection spell, and phoenix downs were rare enough as it was. The only choice was to follow Janice's plan. What had been her wish. It didn't help matters that each night, Fiona would dream about the little swimmer's thoughts, wanting into her womb to do what they'd been made to do. The amorphous presence of Janice's being, split into trillions of parts, begged her to help them complete their purpose.
On the third day Fiona bit the bullet, and using the farm's equipment, put some of the little swimmers where they belonged. So eager, they would succeed without fail, just as Victor had produced them to do. Their decision had been made... Within a week, her belly was swelling massively with a clutch of seven; it wouldn't take long for the eggs to be ready to lay, as big as they might be.
Janice was gone for good... but the teeming swarm of bird sperm couldn't be happier. They would become so many chocobos... and the woman who had once been the aunt of a young lady named Janice would be the mother of many of them. The farm was saved, and there were chocobos to make.
