Her body however did not want to even attempt moving as she managed to part her eyes, the world still hazy and far too bright as she looked around. She had was aching in two different ways, a particularly intense hunger and a sore twitch that ran deep under her tail. Sighing about over doing again yesterday she managed to get her head at least off the ground but as she rolled on to her belly she felt another twinge. Groaning she swore to herself to never try underwater mating again unless she is way more strong but then she let out another annoyed moan as she had forgot about her own magic abilities. Surely using that during mating would have made the extended duration of such an activity nothing short of easy. \n\nFocusing she found herself lying on a blanket next to some purple cliff walls, back at the Magic Crafters apparently. Taking note of the groaning sheep all but too sore to even roll about he came over to give a bowl of breakfast, something tasty and warm but anything more than that was lost as she planted her muzzle into it. Ignoring the chuckles from Spyro as he went to get himself his own bowl.\n\n“Do you want me to kiss it better?” He commented, electing an unamused look back. \n\n“Uhh, whos funny idea was it to make the best mating make you feel like you are dying afterwards.” \n\nHe walked over to offer her a helping hand, “Come on, i heated a pond nearby. It should help.” The temptation of a hot soak won over against her pained form as she struggled to stand. With a supporting arm he helped her to hobble along, her body recovering a bit more as she went. Easing into the water was another issues but as she sat there it helped immensely to loosen tight muscles and take the edge of aches away. \n\nAs she rested Spyro went to back up the camp, taking note of the time he hoped she was not going to be too out of commission for the next World and it’s boss Blowhard. A powerful and ancient wizard that had mastered the magic of storms, with a preference to tornados and lightning like most of their kin. Even if he had to go fight alone he would, not wanting to risk her getting injured after all but even as the idea ran into his mind he found himself looking back to her. She had grown a lot, matured quite a bit from a simple sheep to something so much more interesting. She noticed his stares, giving him a smile while she walked about the pool to stretch out a bit as her pains had all but melted away now. \n\nShe stepped out the pool and gave a shake to knock of the excess water before heading the way Spyro had gone, always amazed at what the spring water of these Worlds could do for the body. Heading down the frosty path she found him just off to the side at the bottom, the camp site all packed up. She walked up to him, giving him a soft rub as she walked past before turning to face him.\n\n“So where are we going today? We must be near the end of this Realm right?” She was all but purring along.\n\nSpyro patted her head playfully, “Yep, we got another General today if you are up for it.” At this she perked up even more. Her increasing interests in combat always contrasted with her normally gentle demeanour in a way that he loved, never sure what she was going to do next.\n\nHe picked up his pace as she all but bounced off to head to the portal or at least where she thought the last portal was. With the next Realm being that of Beast Crafters she had been raring to find out more about herself, questions of why and what. To meet those who literally made you and your entire species is indeed a hell of an opportunity that she was not about to pass up. \n\nAfter giving her some subtle hints via nodding whenever she came to a split in the path they ended up at the doorway. For all her excitement she at least kept clear headed for the most part, never one to run head long into something she has no knowledge of. \n\n“This World is real small, two mountain peaks with a path that curves around the first and spirals the second. It’s also the last World i have knowledge on so let's make it a good one!” A calm tone turning more cheery and excited. \n\nWith a nod they departed through the portal into the last World of this arcane land. They landed on another circular platform like many of the entrances of these Worlds, the thin path that snaked its way along the mountain looked extra precarious thanks to the sea of clouds that could be seen far below. Marble herself was amazed to see the sky so clear, the clouds swirling all about but when she tried to take a deep refreshing breath she found barely half the air to come to her. She started to panic, hopping to Spyro and bleating about not being able to breath when he held her to calm down. “Take slower, deeper breaths. There is air here just not as much.” He explained.\n\n“But why? Dragons need to breath right?”\n\n“Yes but eh...it is complicated, air is like...water. Right now we are near the surface of it so it is thinning out.” If she did not understand that at all she was a very good actor. \n\n“So...what is up there, outside of the air?”\n\n“A void, endless, airless and freezing. They say all Worlds exist in the void, like bubbles, when we make a new one and a new portal it is just very very...very far away from the last one.”\n\n“Dragons are so amazing…” Her eyes full of wonder again as she looked up at the clear sky, trying to see perhaps the void still so far away. He found himself looking up as well, never questioning things as much as he should have before as he laid an arm around her to keep her close. \n\nHe broke away, knowing it is not good to stay in this air too long he went to have a look at the path ahead. Finding storm Wizards, chests and some lovely cone shaped trees that dot the outer edge of the path. A few towers could be seen in the distance poking out of the clouds, the height of such things impressing Spyro himself while making more clear why Blowhard set up his base here of all places. Interrupting his musings Marble came prancing along, slowing down to a trot as to give him a playful wink, before continuing her jog forward. Smiling he followed suit. \n\nThe storm Wizards was hardly a challenge now the pair knew how to handle them. The biggest challenge was the strong wind blowing along the narrow path and the thin air making every movement so much more difficult. Eventually they reached a door, big, metal, impossible to open with what they had but they was not beaten. For some reason that defied logic the Generals never used what they had to defend themselves, as they found Blowhard himself was waiting just further down the path on top of a plateau. He was akin to the Wizards who would ride around on a tornado, his being bigger and more fierce than others, with a much longer beard too but not much else. \n\nLike clockwork they split up, flanking both sides in the normal pincer attack that no Gnorc had yet been able to outsmart. Blowhard was different however as he launched into the air, knocking Spyro away with a gust of wind while several small but ominous black clouds formed around him. Several broke away to chase after Marble who, not thrilled to simply stand by and see what they was going to do, started to run around the platform. She found however that the clouds could only turn slightly and often floated away off the cliff, giving her plenty of time to think. Not that she needed it however as the Wizard had already run out of stamina causing him to float lower to the ground where Spyro was waiting, unfortunately he only got one solid hit in before the windy devil sped off. Unlocking the door previously as he went. \n\n“These ones are smarter but not very strong…” She commented, referring to the last world’s enemies who was the opposite. \n\n“Wizards have very strong magic but they neglect their bodies, unlike us!” Flexing himself humorously to show off his point, causing Marble to giggle a bit. \n\nHeading back down to the door they found it less unlocked and more blown off it’s hinges in a surprisingly casual show off power, exchanging looks at just how strong those clouds they headed inside. A small cave system lay in front of them, dark and dank with much of the path collapsed but even worse was more of the geomancer Druids acting to slow them down by making the only few pillars to stand on dance around. Even so the cave was small, making the movements limited and thus easy as they took turns hopping from one to the next. \n\n“Hey, there is a dragon here.” Marble said pointing out to a side room where a dragon encased in green crystal sat in the midst of many treasures. Once freed he introduced himself as Altair, an extremely old dragon indeed whose pleasant words conflicted the sharp looks he was giving his rescuers.\n\nBy the time they had managed to pull themselves away Marble was all but following behind Spyro in a slump, much of the cheery energy she had fallen away under the piercing gaze of the elder. But, it was nothing that a few well placed jumps as they despatched the rest of the Druids could not fix. Spyro feeling pride in how he was getting increasingly experienced in helping to get her mind of such things.\n\nBack into the light they stepped out onto a well worn but still strong wooden path on the other side of the mountain peak, spiraling around ever higher that would lead to the plateau where they can glide to the neighbouring peak. Taking their time to catch what little breath they could pull from such lofty heights they headed along as the clouds turned from white to gold with the falling sun. The gentle tip and tap of hooves on wood counting the seconds as they traveled along ever further to the top of the world, a strange awkwardness started to form as Spyro would take a look over to her only to dodge her glances back. Clearly wanting to say something but unable to find the right moment but before she could be the one to chime in they reached the stone steps to the plateau. \n\nIt was like a dance, looks exchanged in silent understanding of each other. Up the steps to the stage of war, a general acting as judge. Pacing around the edge in symmetry, each movement was timed and measured. Suddenly, a sprint to enclose the gap and as the Wizard took off into the air as he did once before the trap was set. They collided perfectly, a grab to a swing leading to a launch of strength as she was sent skyward to meet her enemy in the one spot he would not expect. A crack, like lighting from an angry god as tempered hooves polished and strong met armor square on. Shards of silver raining down as the creature was sent sailing to the second peak nearby, a fall, brisk as the Dragon below caught her with grace but looks not given as he swung her onto his back and took chase over the chasm. \n\nShadows rose over the peak as night climbed higher up the twin peaks of black and white...White? She took a look to the rock as he ran on, it was a perfect shade of alabaster that even in the dull light seemed to shine. Marble, a whole mountain of marble that made her stare in disbelief of such a sight but as he reached the final plateau she knew questions could wait. \n\n“I have lived a thousand lifetimes beast, you think that because you have tasted magic that gives you the right to touch me?!” The Wizard stood on the ground, full of disbelief and rage, a ring of black clouds circled the edge of the platou. Crackles of gold and white rang within the clouds, burning as hot as the anger of the one that controls them. \n\nThe same trick was not going to work again as they headed straight on to meet him, only for him to dive backwards into the corona of storm that was now encasing the entire plateau. A flash followed by a bang sounded out as a bolt struck the ground, then another and another. Aimless but deadly as the wing picked up. The path they took now lost they stood back to back but unable to see where the Wizard was, the abyss of cloud and electricity that formed a prison around them was too dangerous to get near but in they stayed put they would meet an end nonetheless. \n\nAnd then she remembered. \n\n“I need you to keep me safe for a moment, ok?” She called to him over the roar of the wind. \n\n“As long as you need.” \n\nShe sat in the middle of the plateau, the wind as deafening as the lighting was deadly but still she sat. Spyro was trying his best, rocks picked up by the wind was not enough to faze him, the lightning did not seem to reach the centre yet but just as he was about to relax a piece of cloud detached itself. Dread washed over him as he knew what was going to happen if it managed to reach the middle, if it reached Marble…\n\nStones caught was thrown back to dissipate the clouds, fire breath to disrupt the winds but it was a losing battle as now the shell of storm was closing in. He took a look back to Marble sitting as calm as ever, trust igniting the fire within him as he fought to keep herself from the hailstorm of death around them when suddenly she opened her eyes. \n\n“Spyro, throw me! South west!” She screamed to him. Time seemingly slowed down as he looked deep into her eyes before nodding. He ran over, a grab, a spin to a launch full of all the strength he has as she was sent straight into the hell of clouds but then, the wind died. \n\nClouds stopped forming as the prison around them started to thin out as he rushed through the spot he had thrown her. Finding her standing on the very edge of the cliffs looking down, she turned to him. \n\n“I must have broken his wind, he was standing outside the clouds so...i found him...” She said before looking down the cliff again, too dark now to see further but she knew that without his ability to fly that Blowhard would not be coming back. He stepped over, a comforting arm placed on her back as he was not sure what she was feeling.\n\n“Ah, i..ehm, got something for you or i guess...us?” Words tripping over each other as he tried to explain what he was up to but decided to just lead her to a spot back down the way, telling her to stop and wait here for a minute to rest.\n\nShe could not help but give him an amused look as he ran off all but tripping over his tail in nerves. She did need the break so she was happy to have a moment to rest, especially if he decided to get all heated in this place but that seemed less likely as he was hardly nervous about such things anymore. The moon was in the sky now sending pale light down across the mountains...oh, she remembered to ask him about the marble peak that they was currently resting atop. At this she wondered about her name too, she had never really questioned why he decided to call her Marble outside the obvious references to a dot of white among the grass like the towers of the Artisans. Even that was sounding more beautiful than she had originally thought too…\n\nAt last he came back, sitting beside her at the cliff's edge he seemed to have not shook off his nerves yet.\n\n“Hey Spyro…Why is it you called me Marble, is it really just because i am white like a rock?”\n\nHe sighed, “Not just a rock..ehm, Marble is one of the most...b-beautiful stones in all the Realms…”\n\nJust as she was about to retort to that he stopped her, pointed out to the night sky. At first she did not get it but then, a bang. The entire sky was lit up in a field of lights, colours of all kinds that rained down in showers of sparks. Then another, different but similar which was followed by another. She could only sit amazed at it all, it was spectacular. Breathtaking. \n\nHe was not done however as when she turned back to him he placed a hand on the side of her head, an odd gesture for one without hands that she did not quite understand but then he leaned in. She did not realize what he was doing at first as he had to work out how the different shapes of their muzzles fit together but once he did he pressed himself to her, emerald eyes going wide at the realization of what he was doing. It felt like it lasted a century and a second, a timeless moment cut far too short as he pulled away to embrace her in a hug, whispering one more secret to her.\n\n“I love you.” \n\n\n\n------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n\nPicture of that ending scene is here,\nhttps://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=1138005\n\nPatreon to support and read works early,\nhttps://www.patreon.com/Gittons\n\n","writing_bbcode_parsed":"Marble woke with several delicious scents on the wind. With a supporting arm he helped her to hobble along, her body recovering a bit more as she went. Easing into the water was another issues but as she sat there it helped immensely to loosen tight muscles and take the edge of aches away.

As she rested Spyro went to back up the camp, taking note of the time he hoped she was not going to be too out of commission for the next World and it’s boss Blowhard.

She stepped out the pool and gave a shake to knock of the excess water before heading the way Spyro had gone, always amazed at what the spring water of these Worlds could do for the body. Heading down the frosty path she found him just off to the side at the bottom, the camp site all packed up. She walked up to him, giving him a soft rub as she walked past before turning to face him.

“So where are we going today? We must be near the end of this Realm right?” She was all but purring along.

Spyro patted her head playfully, “Yep, we got another General today if you are up for it.” At this she perked up even more. Her increasing interests in combat always contrasted with her normally gentle demeanour in a way that he loved, never sure what she was going to do next.

He picked up his pace as she all but bounced off to head to the portal or at least where she thought the last portal was. With the next Realm being that of Beast Crafters she had been raring to find out more about herself, questions of why and what. To meet those who literally made you and your entire species is indeed a hell of an opportunity that she was not about to pass up.

After giving her some subtle hints via nodding whenever she came to a split in the path they ended up at the doorway. For all her excitement she at least kept clear headed for the most part, never one to run head long into something she has no knowledge of.

“This World is real small, two mountain peaks with a path that curves around the first and spirals the second. It’s also the last World i have knowledge on so let's make it a good one!” A calm tone turning more cheery and excited.

With a nod they departed through the portal into the last World of this arcane land. There is air here just not as much.” He explained.

“But why? Dragons need to breath right?”

“Yes but eh...it is complicated, air is like...water. Right now we are near the surface of it so it is thinning out.” If she did not understand that at all she was a very good actor.

“So...what is up there, outside of the air?”

“A void, endless, airless and freezing. They say all Worlds exist in the void, like bubbles, when we make a new one and a new portal it is just very very...very far away from the last one.”

“Dragons are so amazing…” Her eyes full of wonder again as she looked up at the clear sky, trying to see perhaps the void still so far away. He found himself looking up as well, never questioning things as much as he should have before as he laid an arm around her to keep her close.

He broke away, knowing it is not good to stay in this air too long he went to have a look at the path ahead.

The storm Wizards was hardly a challenge now the pair knew how to handle them.

Like clockwork they split up, flanking both sides in the normal pincer attack that no Gnorc had yet been able to outsmart.

“These ones are smarter but not very strong…” She commented, referring to the last world’s enemies who was the opposite.

“Wizards have very strong magic but they neglect their bodies, unlike us!” Flexing himself humorously to show off his point, causing Marble to giggle a bit.

Heading back down to the door they found it less unlocked and more blown off it’s hinges in a surprisingly casual show off power, exchanging looks at just how strong those clouds they headed inside. A small cave system lay in front of them, dark and dank with much of the path collapsed but even worse was more of the geomancer Druids acting to slow them down by making the only few pillars to stand on dance around. Even so the cave was small, making the movements limited and thus easy as they took turns hopping from one to the next.

“Hey, there is a dragon here.” Marble said pointing out to a side room where a dragon encased in green crystal sat in the midst of many treasures. Once freed he introduced himself as Altair, an extremely old dragon indeed whose pleasant words conflicted the sharp looks he was giving his rescuers.

By the time they had managed to pull themselves away Marble was all but following behind Spyro in a slump, much of the cheery energy she had fallen away under the piercing gaze of the elder. But, it was nothing that a few well placed jumps as they despatched the rest of the Druids could not fix. Spyro feeling pride in how he was getting increasingly experienced in helping to get her mind of such things.

Back into the light they stepped out onto a well worn but still strong wooden path on the other side of the mountain peak, spiraling around ever higher that would lead to the plateau where they can glide to the neighbouring peak.

It was like a dance, looks exchanged in silent understanding of each other.

Shadows rose over the peak as night climbed higher up the twin peaks of black and white...White? She took a look to the rock as he ran on, it was a perfect shade of alabaster that even in the dull light seemed to shine. Marble, a whole mountain of marble that made her stare in disbelief of such a sight but as he reached the final plateau she knew questions could wait.

“I have lived a thousand lifetimes beast, you think that because you have tasted magic that gives you the right to touch me?!” The Wizard stood on the ground, full of disbelief and rage, a ring of black clouds circled the edge of the platou. Crackles of gold and white rang within the clouds, burning as hot as the anger of the one that controls them.

The same trick was not going to work again as they headed straight on to meet him, only for him to dive backwards into the corona of storm that was now encasing the entire plateau.

And then she remembered.

“I need you to keep me safe for a moment, ok?” She called to him over the roar of the wind.

“As long as you need.”

She sat in the middle of the plateau, the wind as deafening as the lighting was deadly but still she sat. Spyro was trying his best, rocks picked up by the wind was not enough to faze him, the lightning did not seem to reach the centre yet but just as he was about to relax a piece of cloud detached itself. Dread washed over him as he knew what was going to happen if it managed to reach the middle, if it reached Marble…

Stones caught was thrown back to dissipate the clouds, fire breath to disrupt the winds but it was a losing battle as now the shell of storm was closing in. He took a look back to Marble sitting as calm as ever, trust igniting the fire within him as he fought to keep herself from the hailstorm of death around them when suddenly she opened her eyes.

“Spyro, throw me! South west!” She screamed to him. Time seemingly slowed down as he looked deep into her eyes before nodding. He ran over, a grab, a spin to a launch full of all the strength he has as she was sent straight into the hell of clouds but then, the wind died.

Clouds stopped forming as the prison around them started to thin out as he rushed through the spot he had thrown her. Finding her standing on the very edge of the cliffs looking down, she turned to him.

“I must have broken his wind, he was standing outside the clouds so...i found him...” She said before looking down the cliff again, too dark now to see further but she knew that without his ability to fly that Blowhard would not be coming back. He stepped over, a comforting arm placed on her back as he was not sure what she was feeling.

“Ah, i..ehm, got something for you or i guess...us?” Words tripping over each other as he tried to explain what he was up to but decided to just lead her to a spot back down the way, telling her to stop and wait here for a minute to rest.

She could not help but give him an amused look as he ran off all but tripping over his tail in nerves. Even that was sounding more beautiful than she had originally thought too…

At last he came back, sitting beside her at the cliff's edge he seemed to have not shook off his nerves yet.

“Hey Spyro…Why is it you called me Marble, is it really just because i am white like a rock?”

He sighed, “Not just a rock..ehm, Marble is one of the most...b-beautiful stones in all the Realms…”

Just as she was about to retort to that he stopped her, pointed out to the night sky. At first she did not get it but then, a bang. The entire sky was lit up in a field of lights, colours of all kinds that rained down in showers of sparks. Then another, different but similar which was followed by another. She could only sit amazed at it all, it was spectacular. Breathtaking.

He was not done however as when she turned back to him he placed a hand on the side of her head, an odd gesture for one without hands that she did not quite understand but then he leaned in. She did not realize what he was doing at first as he had to work out how the different shapes of their muzzles fit together but once he did he pressed himself to her, emerald eyes going wide at the realization of what he was doing. It felt like it lasted a century and a second, a timeless moment cut far too short as he pulled away to embrace her in a hug, whispering one more secret to her.

“I love you.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Picture of that ending scene is here,
https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=1138005

Patreon to support and read works early,
https://www.patreon.com/Gittons

","pools_count":3,"title":"Spyro's woolly adventure chapter 17 - Blowhard","deleted":"f","public":"t","mimetype":"text/rtf","pagecount":"1","rating_id":"2","rating_name":"Adult","ratings":[{"content_tag_id":"4","name":"Sexual Themes","description":"Erotic imagery, sexual activity or arousal","rating_id":"2"}],"submission_type_id":"12","type_name":"Writing - Document","guest_block":"f","friends_only":"f","comments_count":"3","views":"610","sales_description":null,"forsale":"f","digitalsales":"f","printsales":"f","digital_price":""}
