Do you regret yesterday at all?” Spyro asked as he lazily lay up to his neck in hot water. \n “Yesterday? Not really, the morning after however…” Marble replied laying next to him, head on a pillow on the side of the heated pool. \n “Well personally I feel like someone broke my legs off and switched them around.” Quartz chimed in from the other end of the room, all three of them having mixed expressions of happiness and weariness from the long but fruitful events of yesterday. After completely ruining Lateef’s bedroom under the guise of a honeymoon they woke up to Spyro trying to hurry them into the bathroom to at least clean themselves. With all the Dream Weaver worlds now sorted they only had to head to where Gnasty was holding up but Spyro had already caught sight of a few Dragons coming to check on the castle…\n \nA mad sprint across the world to reach the balloonist before the other Dragons find out what they had did was far from a peaceful morning, with no time to explain where they wanted to go either they instead picked the Magic Crafters just as an escape. A smart choice in the end as they could now spend the morning burning off any aches in the hot springs, checking up on magic progress and just showing Quartz around the arcane hills. Cosmos as well was quite happy to not only see another Crested sheep so soon but one that knew a whole different element of magic.\n \n“Anyway…” Quartz continued as she lifted her head up to look at the pair. “North-west of the Dragon islands is a little platform floating in the water. Used to be an experiment to see if the Gnorcs could build portals big enough for battleships but since it failed they left it to rot. Good news for us however is that they forgot to turn the portals off, giving us a way into various places.”\nThe plan was simple enough, handy as well that Quartz joined the team in the first place or they would have been waging a far bigger battle to get to Gnasty. Until then, they were spending the early morning in the mountainside hot springs, never a good idea to go into battle with cramps after all. One quick scrub followed by drying off and they were heading back come the snowy path they had come from, the final battle would not wait forever after all and they might as well get a jump start on it. \n \nAfter Quartz did some discussion with the balloonist to where exactly the platform was they departed, not just from this realm but away from the Dragon Islands in general. Down they went from the mountains and then alongside the gentle waves, further and further till nothing but blue could be seen. Apparently it would take more than a day’s ride in the balloon to reach the Gnorc empire so it was a good thing they had these portals, having to sit in a basket for so long would hardly be fun. Oddly enough it was only a short while before the floating Gnorc Gnexus came into view, making Spyro wonder all the more how close the Gnorcs had been to the Dragons before they decided to stage this attack. \n \nThere was two perfectly round but simple platforms connected with a floating wooden bridge. The smaller was perfect to land on thankfully while the bigger had a single giant stone portal next to three Dragon statue heads, similar to that of the one guarding Quartz’s own portal, but made out of different metals. Unfortunately since these was not made by Dragons they did not open when Spyro got close.\n “I recognize the symbols on this metal.” Quartz spoke up as she looked over the heads. “Seems that each one was locked using different magic runes, two of these I recognize but the 3rd seems to have been locked by Gnasty himself.” She explained. “For now, we need to get to the cove which...of course the unlocked portal leads to...” \nSpyro patted her on the back as she let out a sigh, he too understood how the idiocy of the Gnorcs could be painful to grasp but at least this did give them a way in. Suddenly Marble gave Spyro a tap, pointing him in the direction of where a pair of crystallized Dragons stood.\n “I thought this place was a secret?” She asked to highlight the confusion. \n \nThe pair turned out to be Delbin, who had been freed in the Artisans, and Magnus, belonging to the Peace Makers.\n “Ah Spyro? Thanks for the rescue.” Magnus spoke first.\n “Anytime...but what are you two doing here? I thought we freed you guys ages ago.”\n “You did.” Delbin added. “Lateef came to us a few days ago stating that he had discovered the secret to Gnasty’s crystal magic and recruited a whole group of us to go stop him while you was fighting a ‘long battle’ in the Dream Weavers.” \n “Ye but the stupid old lizard got it got wrong! He said that all we had to do was stand near a sheep and the magic would not be able to know we are Dragons but you know, now I think of it, I think he was full of crap.” Magnus added full of anger.\n “Actually he was right.” Spyro spoke up. “Well, half right. I told him that I was not hit because I was ‘near a sheep’ but I was...closer than that.” He explained while giving a nod to the two ewes standing nearby. The two adult Dragons taking a look back to each other as they put the pieces together of what he meant. \n “You keep doing you Spyro. At the end of the day they are Crested and because of them you saved us all. That is enough for me.” Delbin said as Magnus only nodded in agreement. “Lateef however needs a good talking to about lying and putting us in danger...”\n \nWaving to them goodbye as they used the balloon Spyro could only wonder how many Dragons Lateef had roped together, his eyes quickly turning to the portal across the way. \n \n “Cove right?” Spyro spoke to Quartz while standing in front of the open portal.\n “Yep, it is mostly a refueling outpost but you got explosives stacked on ammo stacked on treasure with enough Gnorcs to lift it all. We need to find the keystone to open the next portal too but to find it we need to get the storage list which in turn could be in one of several places…” Quartz explained as every step of the plan only got longer and longer but Spyro listened to every word, her knowledge being too valuable to ignore. \n \nThrough the portal they thankfully just landed on a small stone dock of sorts. True to her word there was supply crates stacked on top of each other all over the place while a few huge metal boats sat in the distance waiting to get restocked. \nSuddenly a huge metal barrel came flying overhead, causing the trio to scatter and hide behind whatever crates was nearby. They were spotted but not by a soldier no. The Gnorc stood tall with thick leather gloves and apron more suited to that of an engineer or worker. Even so without hesitation it grabbed the nearest heavy object to throw which turned out to be the barrels. Not only being made of weighty metal but filled with oil that a single spark could ignite thus making Spyro’s fire here more a risk to themselves than their enemies. \nJust as he was wondering what to do however Marble came out of the blue to sort it herself. The sight of a such a small sheep blindsiding a huge Gnorc causing him to chuckle a bit as stepped around the crate. \n “So where should we start looking for that list?” He asked Quartz as they regrouped.\n “Head to the maintenance area on the other end of the outpost, they should have a list somewhere.”\n \nThe path forward was quite simple as there was only one wide way through the maze of crates and barrels. The occasional wooden bridge breaking up the monotony of the otherwise boring march as they headed from stone dock to stone dock. Spyro was also noticing just how polluted the outpost was as they moved on. The water was at its best some worrying shades of green while the tiny island the ‘cove’ was built on had been stripped bare as nothing short of oil stained rock remained. Exciting a tunnel through the side of the island they stood in front of one more stone platform where only a permanently docked ship sat as the way over to the maintenance area. \n \nSpyro went first as he headed down the grimy steps. Eyes darting around to the boxes on all sides as they moved forward, the occasional clank of metal or creak of wood only putting them more on edge. Rounding a corner they found the clanking was coming from a couple of Gnorcs who was repairing a machine of sorts, the buzzing ear covers blocking any sounds of the trio approaching.\nOnce poofed back to the gems that form them however Marble was curious to why so many Gnorcs wear those ear covers at all, only to put one pair on and be amazed as there was music in them. Not the best but there was actually rhythm and instruments mixed together with different mechanical noises to create something pleasant enough to listen to. In awe, she bounced over to Spyro to give him the other pair to listen to, the pair of them stopping for a moment to enjoy the sounds but then it stopped.\n “Alright listen up.” Quartz stated as she took the coverings off to explain how they worked. “These are headphones, this is the wire and this is box here is what holds the music…” She explained as she pointed out what the buttons do and how the device worked in simple terms. \nSpyro was more amazed than Marble was by the end, admitting that Gnorcs do have some interesting technology worth using after all as well as requesting that Quartz keep an eye out for anything else the Dragons would love too.\n \nWith the devices now stored safely in the chest they entered the ship’s bottom via a ramp that connected to it’s side. Nothing too interesting could be found here unfortunately, there was some workbenches and other repair tools sprinkled between the crates but no Gnorcs either. Quickly moving along to the upper floors they found that it had been converted into rows of rooms for the Gnorc staff to live in. \nThe actual bedrooms was incredibly small with almost no decoration or furnishing to be found, several of the rooms as well had bunk beds as if to further cram as much into the small space as they could. Further down the halls they found a kitchen of sorts that was just dirty enough for Spyro and Marble to not even want to check it out more and a small room that was oddly comfy. Clean cloth was hanging on the walls and soft carpet for the floor but in the center of the room was an odd machine, tall and round like a pillar but with four big cylinders near the base, all made with polished metal and glass. \n “What an odd looking device.” Spyro commented as Marble stepped around to have a closer look at the buttons and switches. \n “Is it like a shrine?” Marble wondered out loud when Quartz caught her eye going bright red from the effort of not bursting out into laughter. A questioning look making her finally losing it all together as she stepped out of the room to let it all out.\n “Come on Quartz.” Spyro asked as he followed her into the hallway. “What could be so funny?” But his question only made her lose her composure even more.\n “Its...a Tangled Pillar...you know, how Gnorcs make babies? A sex machine!” She managed to get out between laughing only to keep listening off more and more slang words till she was on the floor in her amusement. Marble meanwhile had quickly left the room and closed the door just for good measure, already making a mental note to forget everything she had saw. \n \n “When you stop laughing do you mind telling me one thing though? Well, two things?” Spyro asked as he tried to resist joining in on her unending giggling. After another minute of coming to her senses again and taking a breath she gave him a nod to continue.\n “What happened to the female Gnorcs and why of all things is that machine called what it is?” He asked reasonable.\n “Ah well…” Quartz started as she tried to think. “A long time ago the Gnorcs was very good at magic. They could do all sorts of stuff and along with the help of several other races like the druids, wizards, nomads, they built a truly beautiful empire.”\n “Nomads?” Marble interrupted. \n “The things you fought in the Peace Makers, tiny little savages with the fat cooks? They have a truly disgusting society...” Quartz started to explain as they headed down the hallways. “The empire eventually reached a peak and got stuck, then it started to stagnate. All the people grew more and more lazy till even magic was too much effort and so they started to look elsewhere. Machines, technology, it brought new life to the empire but they became greedy on top of lazy. Forests razed, lands stripped. The once beautiful country was turned inside out but still they did not stop.” Quartz let out a sigh. “From what I know next they processed the animals, other races, eventually themselves. The females turned more and more into slaves or worse but the real downfall came when a riot happened. The Gnorc leaders deemed the females too dangerous and so invented a work around and...recycled them. As for the name, it is apparently the ancient Gnorc saying for how all things are connected. So it literally means the tower of life.” She finished explaining just as they reached the tunnels down to the maintenance area.\n \nA collection of rusty metal panels lining tunnels that snaked itsits way under the water. Pipes sloshed with oil and machines hummed with energy as they went deeper into the cool gloom but just as the light grew dim they rounded a corner into a bright room. A dusty desk set on one wall while several cabinets filled with paperwork lined the far wall.\n “Look there!” Quartz cried out as she pointed to a small piece of stone framed on the wall. “That was easier to find than I expected.” She added before trotting over happily to snatch it. \n “Better than having to root around crates all day.” Spyro spoke as he put the stone into the chest. “Come on, let's head back before any others show up.” \n \nThankfully the exit portal was not too far away nor guarded as they quickly made it back to the Gnorc Gnexus with no conflicts. The enchanted ‘keystone’ opening the next metal Dragon head as soon as they approached to reveal somewhere called “Twilight Harbour” that made Quartz go pale.\n “What's up?” Spyro asked noticing the change in color. \n “Twilight Harbour is the biggest navy port in the Gnorc empire! If they spot a Dragon we would have a hundred soldiers after us in a second…” She explained with much worry, enough to make even Spyro start to panic on how they were supposed to get around but Marble had other ideas.\n “Hey Quartz, as far as I know you are supposed to be a General of Gnasty right? Why can't we just wait here and you pop over then?” Marble asked to which Quartz only stared blankly for a moment.\n “Oh...right! Forgot about that.” She said with a laugh. “I will be back soon.” Quartz mentioned as she took a step towards the portal but Spyro stopped her to give some words of care followed by a kiss for good luck. With a nod she took a deep breath to steady herself before stepping through the metallic portal. \n \nThe harbor was exactly as she remembered it being. Smoky, as if the very air had rusted over from years of misuse. A dozen battleships could be seen even from the armored docks she stood on, each one with hundreds of soldiers. With head held high she strode forward in the direction of the nearest barracks as Gnorcs she passed stopped to salute her respectfully. \nIt had been so long since she last walked down these grimy stone streets, the pale hum of the lampposts only seemed louder now with any comfort they once held long gone. Soldiers, workers, engineers, they all sat at tables or on the floor to drink or gamble in the light of the sunset. Come night they would move to their homes, if they have one, while the night shift would replace them. \n \nThe barracks was thankfully close as many back up sailors and soldiers would stay here before shipping off to other islands however she could not shake the worries in the back of her mind. Still, with eyes cold to those around she walked through the armored front doors like she owned the place. The Gnorc at the front desk instantly snapping to attention and even standing. \n “Sir! I did not expect you to be back so soon!” He spoke, clear and loud like a grunt in boot camp.\n “Oh really? Mind telling me why in the coiled hells the army has not left yet? The scouting crew sent to secure the Dragons are getting real antsy.” \n “Um... Eh, Gnasty has stated that the army is simply not good enough to move out yet and with them all in crystal anyway we might as well just hang back. Sir.” \n “Oh and do you support the idea to send the Generals with barely any supplies but then delay a month with no word? Grunt?” She spat leaning on the desk.\n“N-no Sir. Mam. Toasty Sir.”\n“Good. Now how about you help us all out here and tell me where a special stone is, little square thing with enchanted metal plated to it?”\nThe Gnorc stood thinking for a moment before something clicked in his mind. With hurry, he ran over to the cabinets behind him, then to the others, then the safe on the back wall. Finally, taking what he was looking for back to Quartz for her to see, a folder. Within was barely any information on what the stone does but there was the current location of it as well as the plans for the future. The good news was that the stone was being kept at the nearby arcanist. The bad was that they had perfected the larger portal design and within a few days would send an upgrade team to turn the Gnexus into a much bigger issue. \n \nWith a huff she turned on the spot and left. Out of the vault like doors, down the cracked path and out into the streets once more. Legs picking up speed as while she did have stronger magic now it was never smart to be out at night, the Gnorcs only had few laws which mostly focused on doing your job and not stopping others from doing theirs. The arcanist thankfully was still where she remembered it, in the middle of nowhere lest they blow themselves up again and need to rebuild. It was different from the other metal plated buildings that stood tall all around, it was shorter, more armored but with a glass dome instead of a roof as apparently it was easier to fix. \nThe second she entered the door there was Gnorcs to greet her, to know what exactly the great General of Gnasty needed with this humble laboratory. A grin almost breaking out as she lay her demands for needing the keystone, under order of Gnasty himself, a huge bag of Fr89c and an experimental portal generator. Between the lies of more funding and the occasional flirt they did not even question it. \n \nKeystone secured she did not yet return to the Gnexus. With a cheery tune being hummed out she at first headed to the postal office to send an excited letter of discovery and invention to every other major Gnorc city. Promises of power and money guaranteeing her plan would come through as any stupid Gnorc leader would jump at the chance to be the one to solve the energy crisis. \n \nThe last stop on her coming home trip was the magielectrical power station Nimbus. Not like the other buildings in this city oh no, it was shiny and polished with huge glass windows and lights all over just to show off. With this one she did not take the front door as well but instead took the hidden sewer hatch that led to a couple of vents. Not heading to the central core, not yet. She was instead heading down to the basement where not too long ago she used to run in a wheel to power this mess. She knew the secret a long time ago but had no place to argue, the fact that the wheel was pointless. It was the electrical magic she could generate that would be amplified into massive amounts of free energy and of course when she won her place as a General they need to find a work around.\nJumping down out of the vent she stood in the wheel room where one pointless wheel had been replaced with dozens, her flock was granted safety yes but at a cost. Even with all of her flock running the wheels they did not generate nearly as much as her magic but it was enough to let her leave at least. She did not care much for them really, they did not have her intelligence nor did they treat her any better than the Gnorcs but in the end she was the better creature here. The poor state that these creatures was in was simply too horrific to overlook, they were overworked, underfed and no doubt the Gnorcs would use them for their own sick gain during breaks. \nThe rams noticed her approach, the tired eyes no longer held anger or resentment but a longing to be free and safe. A single electric shot to the control console was all that was needed to stop the wheels while the portal generator needed much more concentration as she rigged it up to the city power lines, combined with her magic to guide the portal location she could open up a way to the Dragon Islands for one precious minute. The sheep and rams was quick to move despite how tired they were, the fresh grass being nothing short of heavenly. It made Quartz feel relieved at least that she could help them. \n \nNext was the central power core. An already unstable fusion of magic and technology that could use many things as fuel, it was with years of living under this thing that Quartz eventually worked out a great way for her revenge. The Fr89c, it was a gray, toxic powder that when combined with different things would give many effects but there was one in particular she about to use. When mixed with even a little water and put under intense heat it would eventually detonate with enough force to wipe a city off the map. The substance was so new and experimental that when the letters in the other cities come through she doubted they would test things out first. \n \nSpyro was sitting around in the Gnexus getting some sun with Marble when Quartz returned. The pair of them jumping to their feet to see if she was alright and ask some questions of how it went. She answered truthfully too, the keystone, the freeing of her flock and of course her long thought out plan to cut the empire back something hard. Spyro wanted to object to her extreme method of stopping the Gnorcs but in the end he had nothing good to say about them, it was either this or let them spread all over the world.\nEven so, before the last battle they rested for a moment. Recovering some energy and unwinding from the stress of the day so far but Spyro and Marble had been coming up with some ideas while Quartz had been out. They had decided to have one last intimate moment before they face Gnasty so if all things do go bad they could at least go out with a happy time fresh in memory, Spyro explained but Quartz knew that was more of an excuse than anything.\n \nThey had decided to go back to the cove, since there was few Gnorcs there anyway, and it was more comfortable than the salt encrusted metal of the Gnexus platform. Without all the water pollution and storage crates in fact the cove could have easily passed for a tropical island, the sun was hot but comfortable with a refreshing salt breeze. Spyro was the one to pick out a location, oddly enough on top of some wooden crates that did give a nice view of the ocean and with a blanket the wood was better than metal any day. \n “It is going to be nice.” Spyro said quietly as he wrapped his arms around his girls. “Just us and our own little Island somewhere, full of grass and sun.” \n “I hope you guys do not mind showing me around the Dragon Realms some time though, I want to see everything.” Quartz replied as she rested her head on his side, Marble as well giving a nod of her own as she would love to have a second tour around with no dangers. \n \nMinutes passed before Quartz realized that Spyro’s arm was no longer around Marble’s shoulders and was instead around her waist. The warm coos becoming increasingly audible as his wandering hands softened her up but Quartz broke away to lay on the floor.\n “I am a little out of it from yesterday but I would not mind helping.” She explained with a grin as she waved to Marble to come over and liking the idea Spyro pulled his hand away to help Marble get up. A gentle push on her rear to get moving given but he stopped to take one last look at the view himself. \nTurning around to get a nice view of Quartz picking up where he had left off he walked over, a single large hand gently raising Marble’s head so he could kiss her properly. If this might be the last moment together then he wanted it to be right, nothing intense, no aches. Just a few tender moments of pleasure together as his tongue wrapped around hers playfully and heated breath mixed together in the wind. Marble moaned into his mouth as Quartz hit a sweet spot and dug her muzzle further in before withdrawing quickly for air. \n \nThey switched around. Marble lowering her head down to take care of Quartz’s own needs as Spyro took up the most traditional of positions behind her which in turn did give Quartz a lovely view of her own. Spyro was as gentle as ever with slow deliberate thrusts that plucked her softly while his own gasps of pleasure rang in her ears like music. Leaning forward and bracing a hand beside her head he worked simply, tongue lolling out and eyes closed to let the mind wander. Quartz let out a long, low moan as Marble massaged her sex with her tongue, taking in every soft curve and dewy fold with patience. Her eyes could only look up at the pair enjoying themselves above while the errant drop of sweet and sour mixed together was quickly licked clean off her muzzle. \nLong minutes passed till Spyro’s slow rhythm picked up just an ounce more speed while Marble’s lurid kissing of the gray ewe below stopped in need off catching her breath. It was sudden, a shuddering and reliving release of bodily tensions. The excess of which rained down to leave Quartz with a maw full of sticky treats. Her eyes snapped open as she felt Marble continue advances with renewed passion.\n \nWith Quartz having so kindly cleaned the pair up they lay there for a moment in the setting sun. Tomorrow would be Gnasty’s end. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\n \nPicture here,\nhttps://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=1164840\n \nPatreon if you want to read these early,\nhttps://www.patreon.com/Gittons\n \nCommission info if you want your own story,\nhttps://inkbunny.net/journalview.php?id=262699\n","writing_bbcode_parsed":" “Hey Marble... Do you regret yesterday at all?” Spyro asked as he lazily lay up to his neck in hot water.
“Yesterday? Not really, the morning after however…” Marble replied laying next to him, head on a pillow on the side of the heated pool.
“Well personally I feel like someone broke my legs off and switched them around.” Quartz chimed in from the other end of the room, all three of them having mixed expressions of happiness and weariness from the long but fruitful events of yesterday. After completely ruining Lateef’s bedroom under the guise of a honeymoon they woke up to Spyro trying to hurry them into the bathroom to at least clean themselves. With all the Dream Weaver worlds now sorted they only had to head to where Gnasty was holding up but Spyro had already caught sight of a few Dragons coming to check on the castle…

A mad sprint across the world to reach the balloonist before the other Dragons find out what they had did was far from a peaceful morning, with no time to explain where they wanted to go either they instead picked the Magic Crafters just as an escape. A smart choice in the end as they could now spend the morning burning off any aches in the hot springs, checking up on magic progress and just showing Quartz around the arcane hills. Cosmos as well was quite happy to not only see another Crested sheep so soon but one that knew a whole different element of magic.

“Anyway…” Quartz continued as she lifted her head up to look at the pair. “North-west of the Dragon islands is a little platform floating in the water. Used to be an experiment to see if the Gnorcs could build portals big enough for battleships but since it failed they left it to rot. Good news for us however is that they forgot to turn the portals off, giving us a way into various places.”
The plan was simple enough, handy as well that Quartz joined the team in the first place or they would have been waging a far bigger battle to get to Gnasty. Until then, they were spending the early morning in the mountainside hot springs, never a good idea to go into battle with cramps after all. One quick scrub followed by drying off and they were heading back come the snowy path they had come from, the final battle would not wait forever after all and they might as well get a jump start on it.

After Quartz did some discussion with the balloonist to where exactly the platform was they departed, not just from this realm but away from the Dragon Islands in general.

There was two perfectly round but simple platforms connected with a floating wooden bridge. The smaller was perfect to land on thankfully while the bigger had a single giant stone portal next to three Dragon statue heads, similar to that of the one guarding Quartz’s own portal, but made out of different metals. Unfortunately since these was not made by Dragons they did not open when Spyro got close.
“I recognize the symbols on this metal.” Quartz spoke up as she looked over the heads. “Seems that each one was locked using different magic runes, two of these I recognize but the 3rd seems to have been locked by Gnasty himself.” She explained. “For now, we need to get to the cove which...of course the unlocked portal leads to...”
Spyro patted her on the back as she let out a sigh, he too understood how the idiocy of the Gnorcs could be painful to grasp but at least this did give them a way in. Suddenly Marble gave Spyro a tap, pointing him in the direction of where a pair of crystallized Dragons stood.
“I thought this place was a secret?” She asked to highlight the confusion.

The pair turned out to be Delbin, who had been freed in the Artisans, and Magnus, belonging to the Peace Makers.
“Ah Spyro? Thanks for the rescue.” Magnus spoke first.
“Anytime...but what are you two doing here? I thought we freed you guys ages ago.”
“You did.” Delbin added. “Lateef came to us a few days ago stating that he had discovered the secret to Gnasty’s crystal magic and recruited a whole group of us to go stop him while you was fighting a ‘long battle’ in the Dream Weavers.”
“Ye but the stupid old lizard got it got wrong! He said that all we had to do was stand near a sheep and the magic would not be able to know we are Dragons but you know, now I think of it, I think he was full of crap.” Magnus added full of anger.
“Actually he was right.” Spyro spoke up. “Well, half right. I told him that I was not hit because I was ‘near a sheep’ but I was...closer than that.” He explained while giving a nod to the two ewes standing nearby. The two adult Dragons taking a look back to each other as they put the pieces together of what he meant.
“You keep doing you Spyro. At the end of the day they are Crested and because of them you saved us all. That is enough for me.” Delbin said as Magnus only nodded in agreement. “Lateef however needs a good talking to about lying and putting us in danger...”

Waving to them goodbye as they used the balloon Spyro could only wonder how many Dragons Lateef had roped together, his eyes quickly turning to the portal across the way.

“Cove right?” Spyro spoke to Quartz while standing in front of the open portal.
“Yep, it is mostly a refueling outpost but you got explosives stacked on ammo stacked on treasure with enough Gnorcs to lift it all. We need to find the keystone to open the next portal too but to find it we need to get the storage list which in turn could be in one of several places…” Quartz explained as every step of the plan only got longer and longer but Spyro listened to every word, her knowledge being too valuable to ignore.

Through the portal they thankfully just landed on a small stone dock of sorts. True to her word there was supply crates stacked on top of each other all over the place while a few huge metal boats sat in the distance waiting to get restocked.
Suddenly a huge metal barrel came flying overhead, causing the trio to scatter and hide behind whatever crates was nearby.
Just as he was wondering what to do however Marble came out of the blue to sort it herself. The sight of a such a small sheep blindsiding a huge Gnorc causing him to chuckle a bit as stepped around the crate.
“So where should we start looking for that list?” He asked Quartz as they regrouped.
“Head to the maintenance area on the other end of the outpost, they should have a list somewhere.”

The path forward was quite simple as there was only one wide way through the maze of crates and barrels.

Spyro went first as he headed down the grimy steps. Eyes darting around to the boxes on all sides as they moved forward, the occasional clank of metal or creak of wood only putting them more on edge. Rounding a corner they found the clanking was coming from a couple of Gnorcs who was repairing a machine of sorts, the buzzing ear covers blocking any sounds of the trio approaching.
Once poofed back to the gems that form them however Marble was curious to why so many Gnorcs wear those ear covers at all, only to put one pair on and be amazed as there was music in them. Not the best but there was actually rhythm and instruments mixed together with different mechanical noises to create something pleasant enough to listen to. In awe, she bounced over to Spyro to give him the other pair to listen to, the pair of them stopping for a moment to enjoy the sounds but then it stopped.
“Alright listen up.” Quartz stated as she took the coverings off to explain how they worked. “These are headphones, this is the wire and this is box here is what holds the music…” She explained as she pointed out what the buttons do and how the device worked in simple terms.
Spyro was more amazed than Marble was by the end, admitting that Gnorcs do have some interesting technology worth using after all as well as requesting that Quartz keep an eye out for anything else the Dragons would love too.

With the devices now stored safely in the chest they entered the ship’s bottom via a ramp that connected to it’s side. Nothing too interesting could be found here unfortunately, there was some workbenches and other repair tools sprinkled between the crates but no Gnorcs either. Quickly moving along to the upper floors they found that it had been converted into rows of rooms for the Gnorc staff to live in.
The actual bedrooms was incredibly small with almost no decoration or furnishing to be found, several of the rooms as well had bunk beds as if to further cram as much into the small space as they could.
“What an odd looking device.” Spyro commented as Marble stepped around to have a closer look at the buttons and switches.
“Is it like a shrine?” Marble wondered out loud when Quartz caught her eye going bright red from the effort of not bursting out into laughter. A questioning look making her finally losing it all together as she stepped out of the room to let it all out.
“Come on Quartz.” Spyro asked as he followed her into the hallway. “What could be so funny?” But his question only made her lose her composure even more.
“Its...a Tangled Pillar...you know, how Gnorcs make babies? A sex machine!” She managed to get out between laughing only to keep listening off more and more slang words till she was on the floor in her amusement. Marble meanwhile had quickly left the room and closed the door just for good measure, already making a mental note to forget everything she had saw.

“When you stop laughing do you mind telling me one thing though? Well, two things?” Spyro asked as he tried to resist joining in on her unending giggling. After another minute of coming to her senses again and taking a breath she gave him a nod to continue.
“What happened to the female Gnorcs and why of all things is that machine called what it is?” He asked reasonable.
“Ah well…” Quartz started as she tried to think. “A long time ago the Gnorcs was very good at magic. They could do all sorts of stuff and along with the help of several other races like the druids, wizards, nomads, they built a truly beautiful empire.”
    “Nomads?” Marble interrupted.
“The things you fought in the Peace Makers, tiny little savages with the fat cooks? So it literally means the tower of life.” She finished explaining just as they reached the tunnels down to the maintenance area.

A collection of rusty metal panels lining tunnels that snaked itsits way under the water. Pipes sloshed with oil and machines hummed with energy as they went deeper into the cool gloom but just as the light grew dim they rounded a corner into a bright room. A dusty desk set on one wall while several cabinets filled with paperwork lined the far wall.
“Look there!” Quartz cried out as she pointed to a small piece of stone framed on the wall. “That was easier to find than I expected.” She added before trotting over happily to snatch it.
“Better than having to root around crates all day.” Spyro spoke as he put the stone into the chest. “Come on, let's head back before any others show up.”

Thankfully the exit portal was not too far away nor guarded as they quickly made it back to the Gnorc Gnexus with no conflicts. The enchanted ‘keystone’ opening the next metal Dragon head as soon as they approached to reveal somewhere called “Twilight Harbour” that made Quartz go pale.
“What's up?” Spyro asked noticing the change in color.
“Twilight Harbour is the biggest navy port in the Gnorc empire! If they spot a Dragon we would have a hundred soldiers after us in a second…” She explained with much worry, enough to make even Spyro start to panic on how they were supposed to get around but Marble had other ideas.
“Hey Quartz, as far as I know you are supposed to be a General of Gnasty right? Why can't we just wait here and you pop over then?” Marble asked to which Quartz only stared blankly for a moment.
“Oh...right! Forgot about that.” She said with a laugh. “I will be back soon.” Quartz mentioned as she took a step towards the portal but Spyro stopped her to give some words of care followed by a kiss for good luck. With a nod she took a deep breath to steady herself before stepping through the metallic portal.

The harbor was exactly as she remembered it being.
It had been so long since she last walked down these grimy stone streets, the pale hum of the lampposts only seemed louder now with any comfort they once held long gone. Soldiers, workers, engineers, they all sat at tables or on the floor to drink or gamble in the light of the sunset. Come night they would move to their homes, if they have one, while the night shift would replace them.

The barracks was thankfully close as many back up sailors and soldiers would stay here before shipping off to other islands however she could not shake the worries in the back of her mind. Still, with eyes cold to those around she walked through the armored front doors like she owned the place. The Gnorc at the front desk instantly snapping to attention and even standing.
“Sir! I did not expect you to be back so soon!” He spoke, clear and loud like a grunt in boot camp.
“Oh really? Mind telling me why in the coiled hells the army has not left yet? The scouting crew sent to secure the Dragons are getting real antsy.”
“Um... Eh, Gnasty has stated that the army is simply not good enough to move out yet and with them all in crystal anyway we might as well just hang back. Sir.”
“Oh and do you support the idea to send the Generals with barely any supplies but then delay a month with no word? Grunt?” She spat leaning on the desk.
“N-no Sir. Mam. Toasty Sir.”
“Good. Now how about you help us all out here and tell me where a special stone is, little square thing with enchanted metal plated to it?”
The Gnorc stood thinking for a moment before something clicked in his mind.

With a huff she turned on the spot and left.
The second she entered the door there was Gnorcs to greet her, to know what exactly the great General of Gnasty needed with this humble laboratory. A grin almost breaking out as she lay her demands for needing the keystone, under order of Gnasty himself, a huge bag of Fr89c and an experimental portal generator. Between the lies of more funding and the occasional flirt they did not even question it.

Keystone secured she did not yet return to the Gnexus. With a cheery tune being hummed out she at first headed to the postal office to send an excited letter of discovery and invention to every other major Gnorc city. Promises of power and money guaranteeing her plan would come through as any stupid Gnorc leader would jump at the chance to be the one to solve the energy crisis.

The last stop on her coming home trip was the magielectrical power station Nimbus. Her eyes could only look up at the pair enjoying themselves above while the errant drop of sweet and sour mixed together was quickly licked clean off her muzzle.
Long minutes passed till Spyro’s slow rhythm picked up just an ounce more speed while Marble’s lurid kissing of the gray ewe below stopped in need off catching her breath. It was sudden, a shuddering and reliving release of bodily tensions. The excess of which rained down to leave Quartz with a maw full of sticky treats. Her eyes snapped open as she felt Marble continue advances with renewed passion.

With Quartz having so kindly cleaned the pair up they lay there for a moment in the setting sun.
