"The Sprawl" was originally conceived way back in 1999 or so when I was thinking of a project I could possibly use to involve some of my artist friends. The idea was a world where multiple artists could write stories we could put together as an anthology. That never materialized and the idea was shelved for many years.

Last September or October I was looking for work and a friend suggested I submit a comic to some adult sites and see if I could get something going that way. So I dusted off that 15 year old abandoned idea and quickly slammed out the first 12 pages or so, getting straight to the sexy bits as it was a pitch to adult sites. I pitched it as a 4 page a week adult comic. Each comic page only takes me about 8 hours so I figured that would be a reasonable schedule and few web comics, adult or otherwise, tend to update quite that quickly.

Sadly (or not, depending on your point of view) no sites were interested so I began posting what I had to FA and my other galleries as a weekly web comic.
