On a more material level, she is responsible for Ronto and his siblings' relatively advanced literacy skills, at least compared to the vast majority of their peers.\n\nThat brings us to his father, who was the one who taught Ronto to use a spear. While Ronto tends to take more after his mother, he has learned much from his father as well. The former professional soldier took great joy in seeing the natural talent that his eldest son exhibited with the spear, and wondered in earlier years if the boy might grow into a fighter or even soldier that could surpass the prowess of his father. But Ronto's nature prevented him from ever wanting to pursue any path revolving around violence, and as such, his skills only developed so far. Though they both enjoy their sessions of light sparring in their free time, Ronto has never attained his father's level of proficiency in any form of fighting.
