"writing": "It was early evening and Spinda's Cafe was starting to bustle with an influx locals.\n\nNaturally a good number of them were Everstone Guild members and this included the three Team Netsu members; Kitsu the Fennekin, Rosa the Houndour and Kai the Nickit.\n\nThey were sharing a table chatting casually over their day when Furu the Spinda appeared with their order of drinks in hand.\n\nIt was a strange sight to see the wobbly gait of the Spinda Barkeep. His natural tipsy stride looking far from ideal for the task of carrying drinks, yet no matter how much he himself seemed to totter about the tray of drinks he carried remained upright.\n\nNot so much as a drop spilled out of the open glasses atop the serving tray as he made it to their table and placed it neatly atop it before smiling down at them.\n\n“Three Gummi shakes!” he declared as he carefully started to hand out each of the special muzzle-friendly glasses filled with distinctively different coloured liquids.\n\nHe took a bright red looking drink and placed it in front of Kitsu as he confidently said “The Red Gummi must be for our local Fennekin!”\n\nHe then followed up with an almost pitch black looking concoction that he gave to Kai “And the Black Gummi for our Nickit”\n\n“Then of course the Red and Black Gummi blend will be for this [i]lovely lady[/i]” he finished as he placed the last glass in front of Rosa, the dark red liquid sitting inside shaking only a little as it settled down in front of her.\n\n“Right as always, thank you Furu” Rosa replied with a slight chuckle.\n\nFuru smiled and bowed his head slightly “If you need anything else, please let me know!”\n\nThen in a swift but wobbly motion he turned and hobbled back towards the bar.\n\n“How does he always remember which of us ordered which drink anyway?” Kitsu asked as he turned from watching the retreating Spinda and looked at the drinks.\n\nRosa snorted “Well we [i]do[/i] always order the same thing..”\n\nKitsu tilted his head “But he must sell [i]soo[/i] many drinks, it's still pretty impressive..”\n\n“He probably just remembers because of our types..” Kai answered.\n\n“Right” Rosa nodded “We aren't exactly the most [i]experimental[/i] with our drink choices”\n\nThe three all looked at their respective drinks. [i]It was true[/i], they all drank the Gummi flavours their types were known to prefer. Even Rosa's blended drink matched the mix of her Fire and Dark attributes.\n\n“Are we really that [i]boring[/i]?” Kitsu asked, pouting a little.\n\n“I don't think it makes us boring..” Kai said though he didn't sound very certain.\n\nRosa looked between them and then shook her head “If you're that bothered by it why don't you try each others drinks for once?”\n\nAfter a moments consideration, Kitsu shrugged “Sure, why not!, want to swap Kai?”\n\n“I guess..” the Nicket replied, not sounding quite as enthusiastic but began pushing his glass toward the Fennekin none the less.\n\nHaving exchanged glasses the two foxes sniffed at the new drinks now in front of them.\n\n“This really is a drink for Dark types, the smell really reminds me of you Kai” Kitsu noted as he twitched his nose at the shake's aroma.\n\n“Same here..” Kai responded as he too tentatively sniffed at his.\n\n“Well here goes nothing..” Kitsu then declared, Kai following suit as both of them lifted the glasses to their muzzles.\n\n“[i]Uhh[/i].. might be better to just take a sip at first..” Rosa tried to warn them but it was too late, as both Fennekin and Nickit had each taken a hearty swig of their respective drinks.\n\nThen almost in perfect unison, they each pulled back their heads, tongues sticking out with looks of surprise and undisguised distaste on their faces.\n\nRosa couldn't help herself as she broke out into a snort of laughter at the scene of her two companions.\n\n“Hahah.. they're pretty strong right?” she remarked.\n\n“[i]Ack[/i].. It's so bitter..” Kitsu answered.\n\n“Spicy..” Kai added, commenting on his own.\n\n“Well I'm not surprised. No one really knows where Gummis came from but it's almost as if they are [i]catered[/i] for Pokemon taste buds” Rosa began to explain.\n\n“Drinking one that matches your type taste delicious but tasting one of the others can be a little [i]overwhelming[/i]..” she ended with another small snort.\n\n“You can say that again..” Kitsu scoffed, eyeing the black shake in front of himself much more warily now.\n\n“Turning them into shakes makes them extra strong so it's actually unusual for Pokemon to drink shakes of other type's Gummis straight like that, well unless you're a true Gummi lover like Jaze..” she added with a smile.\n\n“So we're [i]not[/i] boring?” Kitsu asked.\n\n“Well you're not to me.. so you don't have to drink it if you don't like it” Rosa assured him, giving her Fennekin mate a playful lick on the cheek.\n\n“I dunno. I kind of wanted to try and finish it..” Kai then admitted.\n\nRosa eyed him “You don't have to force yourself Kai, I didn't expect you to..”\n\nThe Nickit shook his head “I don't [i]hate[/i] it, it just caught me off guard.. it kind of tastes like Kitsu..”\n\nKitsu stared at him, looking a little sheepish while Rosa narrowed her eyes in interest.\n\n“[i]Tastes[/i] like him?” she asked “How do you kno..”\n\nKai, catching himself shook his head “N..no I m..meant [i]um[/i] I want to enjoy the tastes that Kitsu enjoys..”\n\nRosa didn't look convinced as she went on “Because you're right, Red Gummis [i]do[/i] taste like Kitsu. I mean that's why they are so potent, it's as if you're drinking the [i]essence[/i] of a Fire type”\n\n“But I'm surprised you'd recognize the taste...” she admitted giving the Nickit an uncomfortable knowing smile.\n\nKai couldn't meet her eyes, then as if to escape her gaze he suddenly grabbed the drink and started gulping it back.\n\n“Ahh wait Kai! You're going make yourself gag like that. Look I'm sorry, if you [i]really[/i] want to try it, try this instead..” the Houndour motioned to her own drink as she tried to reason with the Nickit.\n\nKai lowered the drink from his mouth as he tried and failed to disguise his reaction to the [i]heat[/i] he had just subjected himself too after downing over half of the fiery shake.\n\nHis eyes were watering a little and he had started to pant quite loudly, his tongue lolling in and out of his mouth.\n\nRosa sighed “Look.. the best way to try other flavours is to mix it with something. Most use berries to try and mellow the flavour or they just mix it with their own type's Gummi”\n\n“Mine is already a mix of the Black and Red Gummis so you can get a taste of the Red without it burning your tongue off..” She finished explaining before sliding her drink towards the Nickit who glanced at it warily.\n\nHe stared at it for a moment but as his panting grew heavier and his need to relieve his burning tongue became more apparent he slowly picked up the glass.\n\nThis time he took a far more tentative taste of the drink, but as the cool liquid passed over his overheated tongue, his eyes widened in apparent approval as he once again began glugging down the drink.\n\nRosa watched him with an amused smile “It's good right? Has a touch of that Red Gummi spice but mixed with the acrid bitterness of the Black Gummi so neither of them are too overpowering”\n\nKai nodded slightly as he continued to drink, his eyes narrowed in what looked like relief as the milder mix seemed to sooth the excessive heat of the last drink.\n\nHe finished the drink and dropped the glass on the table as he let out a [i]sigh[/i] “That was a lot better, I actually quite liked that one..”\n\nEven so he still looked a little flustered, even sweating a little.\n\n“That was probably still a little spicy, do you want your drink back to soothe your tongue?” Kitsu offered, giving his Nickit friend a slightly concerned glance.\n\n“Yeah..” Kai replied, his voice a little hoarse “I think that will help..”\n\nHe then proceeded to drink eagerly from the Black Gummi shake he had given to Kitsu.\n\nHe drank about half of it before finally placing that drink down as well, the heat in his mouth apparently sated for now.\n\n“Feeling better?” Kitsu asked.\n\nKai nodded “Yeah.. thanks..”\n\n“So what did you think? Going to order a Red Gummi shake next time?” Rosa asked in a teasing voice.\n\nKai shook his head “N..no that one's a bit much for me.. but I actually liked the blended one.. it wasn't too hot but still had that taste..”\n\n“Of Kitsu?” Rosa cut in with a playful grin.\n\nKai coughed, looking flustered but whether it was because of the drink was hard to say.\n\n“I think I need some fresh air...” he then said before suddenly standing up from the table and looking over at Kitsu “Could we go for our walk?”\n\nKitsu smiled, though his was more genuine than Rosa's “Yeah, you probably need to cool down a little after that”\n\nThe Fennekin then looked over at the Houndour “Are you coming Rosa?”\n\nShe shook her head “I think I'll relax here tonight, you two go ahead!”\n\n“Okay, I'll be back soon” Kitsu replied before giving the Houndour a nuzzle. He then turned and rushed to catch up with Kai who was already busting towards the exit.\n\n“Ahhhh that;'s [i]much[/i] better” Kai breathed out as the cool night air hit them outside the Cafe.\n\n“You must be feeling pretty hot, let's take a slow walk instead of running today” Kitsu suggested.\n\nKai nodded “Yeah, good idea..”\n\nSo the two fox Pokemon took a casual stroll through Treasure Town and into the forest beyond.\n\nThey walked in silence for a while, both enjoying the night atmosphere as they often did on their regular night walks.\n\nThey hadn't made it too far in when Kitsu noticed Kai had fallen behind.\n\n“Everything okay Kai?” he asked as he looked back at him. \n\nThe Nickit looked uneasy, his steps uncertain and legs looking a little shaky.\n\nThe heavy tail he usually held high when walking was trailing through the undergrowth.\n\n“Are you still feeling hot? Kitsu asked assuming the Nickit was still sweltering from his indulgences of the spicy beverages.\n\n“I think there's a small pool over that way” the Fennekin gestured further into the forest “You can cool off and have a drink there..”\n\nThe Nickit quickly shook his head as if the idea scared him before replying “N.. no I'm fine.. “\n\nHe then trotted forward a few steps as to catch up to the Fennekin but after only a couple of strides he suddenly froze to the spot.\n\nHis entire body seemed to [i]tense[/i], his eyes widening as if he had just been binded to the by some attack.\n\n“What's wrong?” Kitsu asked, actual concern in his voice now.\n\nKai didn't reply, instead he started to frantically look around at their surroundings. \n\nThen after a moment he replied in a bit of a squeal “S...stay there Kitsu.. I'll be right back.. D..don't follow me!”\n\nKitsu stared in confusion as the Nickit hobbled out of sight behind a nearby bush.\n\n“Kai what's going o...” he called out but before he could finish his question, he got his answer.\n\n[i]Though not in words.[/i]\n\n[i]Pssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssst[/i]\n\nIt didn't take a Psychic Pokemon to realize what the sound meant.\n\nKitsu settled down on the other side of the bush, close enough to be on guard while his Nickit friend was otherwise indisposed but respecting his wishes not to follow him.\n\nThe Fennekin himself looked a little flustered now as he listened to the sounds of Kai desperately relieving himself on the other side of the bush.\n\nThe intensity of the sound, given it should have been muffled by the grassy forest floor suggested the Nickit had [i]really[/i] been quite desperate. \n\nKitsu didn't speak out, knowing the Nickit was already embarrassed enough about the situation.\n\nNot that he really should have needed to. The pair had shared far more personal experiences together already to the point it was almost silly to think the Nickit needed to hide behind a bush to simply relieve himself.\n\nStill, the Nickit was a rather anxious Pokemon, more so than even the Fennekin who wasn't exactly the confident sort.\n\nSo it was quite surprising to Kitsu when even as the still loud [i]hiss[/i] of the Nickit's stream was filling the air that Kai spoke out to him.\n\n“I'm sorry Kitsu.. I couldn't hold it any longer..” he began to explain.\n\nKitsu, still not daring to look past the bush replied “You don't have to apologise... you did drink quite a lot..”\n\n“It's those Red Gummi shakes!” the Nickit went on “The [i]heat[/i]. Do Fire types always [i]feel[/i] like this? It's too hot I.. just had to get it out..”\n\nOf course Kitsu couldn't possibly know what the Nickit was [i]feeling[/i], nor could he currently see the evidence of the visibly [i]steaming[/i] golden liquid that the Nickit was rapidly expelling out of the [i]hot[/i] tip of his member,\n\nBut he could [i]smell[/i] it.\n\nThe potent scent that came with it, the type that wild Pokemon may use to mark their territory was unmistakable to a Pokemon with such a sensitive nose as the Fennekin.\n\nSo it was quite notable to Kitsu that the scent that was currently wafting through the bush, that personal scent that should have said to any passing Pokemon that [i]Kai was here[/i], didn't exactly smell like the Kai he knew.\n\nAs Kitsu said as much in a mutter to himself.\n\n“[i]He really does smell more like a Fire type right now though..[/i]”\n\nSomehow this thought only made his own face grow more flustered.\n\nThe steady [i]psssssst[/i] continued for a little longer, the sheer amount of time it was taking the poor Nickit to empty his seemingly burning bladder was quite remarkable, only making the otherwise silent air between them all the more awkward.\n\nNone the less it eventually started to peter out and after a brief moment more the Nickit returned from behind the bush as he reappeared at the Fennekin's side.\n\n“T..thanks for waiting Kitsu” The Nickit said sheepishly “I [i]r,,really[/i] needed that. It's never felt so [i]hot[/i] like that before”\n\n“It's fine Kai!” Kistu assured him “Ready to continue our walk?”\n\nKai nodded and the two fell in step as they walked onwards into the forest.\n\n“So I guess you won't be drinking any more Red Gummi shakes after all?” Kitsu asked after a while, oddly sounding a bit [i]disappointed[/i].\n\nKai put on a thoughtful expression “I'm not sure.. Maybe if I get more used to it.. I liked the taste, it was just [i]hot[/i].. ”\n\nKitsu nodded and then after a short pause he spoke once more “Hey Kai..”\n\n“Hm?” Kai tilted his head.\n\nThe Fennekin hesitated in his reply as if unsure whether to continue but in the end he found the nerve to ask “You know you said it tasted [i]like me[/i]?”\n\nKai's face tensed at this and he immediately began to fumble for words “I didn't mean that Kitsu! I was.. just I meant..”\n\n“No it's okay. I was just wondering when you... you know tasted [i]it[/i]?” Kitsu asked him looking just as flustered as the Nickit he was calling out “Was it when I [i]used your tail[/i]?”\n\nKai looked away abashed, but then gave a small nod “Th..there was so much of it, I couldn't clean it with my tongue even if I wanted to. It took me ages to clean even at the waterhole..”\n\n“Sorry...” Kitsu apologised this time.\n\n“I didn't mind.. but yeah I may have tasted it a little all the same...” Kai finally admitted shamefully.\n\nKitsu smiled at his honesty as he too gave a small confession “You know, I thought the Black Gummi tasted like [i]you[/i] as well..”\n\n“When did you..” Kai began to ask at the unexpected admission but Kitsu didn't need him to finish.\n\n“I mean we've pawed off together a bunch of times.,. You don't have the best aim. Naturally a good number of them were Everstone Guild members and this included the three Team Netsu members; Kitsu the Fennekin, Rosa the Houndour and Kai the Nickit.
They were sharing a table chatting casually over their day when Furu the Spinda appeared with their order of drinks in hand.
It was a strange sight to see the wobbly gait of the Spinda Barkeep. His natural tipsy stride looking far from ideal for the task of carrying drinks, yet no matter how much he himself seemed to totter about the tray of drinks he carried remained upright.
Not so much as a drop spilled out of the open glasses atop the serving tray as he made it to their table and placed it neatly atop it before smiling down at them.
“Three Gummi shakes!” he declared as he carefully started to hand out each of the special muzzle-friendly glasses filled with distinctively different coloured liquids.
He took a bright red looking drink and placed it in front of Kitsu as he confidently said “The Red Gummi must be for our local Fennekin!”
He then followed up with an almost pitch black looking concoction that he gave to Kai “And the Black Gummi for our Nickit”
“Then of course the Red and Black Gummi blend will be for this lovely lady” he finished as he placed the last glass in front of Rosa, the dark red liquid sitting inside shaking only a little as it settled down in front of her.
“Right as always, thank you Furu” Rosa replied with a slight chuckle.
Furu smiled and bowed his head slightly “If you need anything else, please let me know!”
Then in a swift but wobbly motion he turned and hobbled back towards the bar.
“How does he always remember which of us ordered which drink anyway?” Kitsu asked as he turned from watching the retreating Spinda and looked at the drinks.
Rosa snorted “Well we do always order the same thing..”
Kitsu tilted his head “But he must sell soo many drinks, it's still pretty impressive..”
“He probably just remembers because of our types..” Kai answered.
“Right” Rosa nodded “We aren't exactly the most experimental with our drink choices”
The three all looked at their respective drinks. It was true, they all drank the Gummi flavours their types were known to prefer. Even Rosa's blended drink matched the mix of her Fire and Dark attributes.
“Are we really that boring?” Kitsu asked, pouting a little.
“I don't think it makes us boring..” Kai said though he didn't sound very certain.
Rosa looked between them and then shook her head “If you're that bothered by it why don't you try each others drinks for once?”
After a moments consideration, Kitsu shrugged “Sure, why not!, want to swap Kai?”
“I guess..” the Nicket replied, not sounding quite as enthusiastic but began pushing his glass toward the Fennekin none the less.
Having exchanged glasses the two foxes sniffed at the new drinks now in front of them.
“This really is a drink for Dark types, the smell really reminds me of you Kai” Kitsu noted as he twitched his nose at the shake's aroma.
“Same here..” Kai responded as he too tentatively sniffed at his.
“Well here goes nothing..” Kitsu then declared, Kai following suit as both of them lifted the glasses to their muzzles.
“Uhh.. might be better to just take a sip at first..” Rosa tried to warn them but it was too late, as both Fennekin and Nickit had each taken a hearty swig of their respective drinks.
Then almost in perfect unison, they each pulled back their heads, tongues sticking out with looks of surprise and undisguised distaste on their faces.
Rosa couldn't help herself as she broke out into a snort of laughter at the scene of her two companions.
“Hahah.. they're pretty strong right?” she remarked.
“Ack.. It's so bitter..” Kitsu answered.
“Spicy..” Kai added, commenting on his own.
“Well I'm not surprised. No one really knows where Gummis came from but it's almost as if they are catered for Pokemon taste buds” Rosa began to explain.
“Drinking one that matches your type taste delicious but tasting one of the others can be a little overwhelming..” she ended with another small snort.
“You can say that again..” Kitsu scoffed, eyeing the black shake in front of himself much more warily now.
“Turning them into shakes makes them extra strong so it's actually unusual for Pokemon to drink shakes of other type's Gummis straight like that, well unless you're a true Gummi lover like Jaze..” she added with a smile.
“So we're not boring?” Kitsu asked.
“Well you're not to me.. so you don't have to drink it if you don't like it” Rosa assured him, giving her Fennekin mate a playful lick on the cheek.
“I dunno. I kind of wanted to try and finish it..” Kai then admitted.
Rosa eyed him “You don't have to force yourself Kai, I didn't expect you to..”
The Nickit shook his head “I don't hate it, it just caught me off guard.. it kind of tastes like Kitsu..”
Kitsu stared at him, looking a little sheepish while Rosa narrowed her eyes in interest.
“Tastes like him?” she asked “How do you kno..”
Kai, catching himself shook his head “N..no I m..meant um I want to enjoy the tastes that Kitsu enjoys..”
Rosa didn't look convinced as she went on “Because you're right, Red Gummis do taste like Kitsu. I mean that's why they are so potent, it's as if you're drinking the essence of a Fire type”
“But I'm surprised you'd recognize the taste...” she admitted giving the Nickit an uncomfortable knowing smile.
Kai couldn't meet her eyes, then as if to escape her gaze he suddenly grabbed the drink and started gulping it back.
“Ahh wait Kai! You're going make yourself gag like that. Look I'm sorry, if you really want to try it, try this instead..” the Houndour motioned to her own drink as she tried to reason with the Nickit.
Kai lowered the drink from his mouth as he tried and failed to disguise his reaction to the heat he had just subjected himself too after downing over half of the fiery shake.
His eyes were watering a little and he had started to pant quite loudly, his tongue lolling in and out of his mouth.
Rosa sighed “Look.. the best way to try other flavours is to mix it with something. Most use berries to try and mellow the flavour or they just mix it with their own type's Gummi”
“Mine is already a mix of the Black and Red Gummis so you can get a taste of the Red without it burning your tongue off..” She finished explaining before sliding her drink towards the Nickit who glanced at it warily.
He stared at it for a moment but as his panting grew heavier and his need to relieve his burning tongue became more apparent he slowly picked up the glass.
This time he took a far more tentative taste of the drink, but as the cool liquid passed over his overheated tongue, his eyes widened in apparent approval as he once again began glugging down the drink.
Rosa watched him with an amused smile “It's good right? Has a touch of that Red Gummi spice but mixed with the acrid bitterness of the Black Gummi so neither of them are too overpowering”
Kai nodded slightly as he continued to drink, his eyes narrowed in what looked like relief as the milder mix seemed to sooth the excessive heat of the last drink.
He finished the drink and dropped the glass on the table as he let out a sigh “That was a lot better, I actually quite liked that one..”
Even so he still looked a little flustered, even sweating a little.
“That was probably still a little spicy, do you want your drink back to soothe your tongue?” Kitsu offered, giving his Nickit friend a slightly concerned glance.
“Yeah..” Kai replied, his voice a little hoarse “I think that will help..”
He then proceeded to drink eagerly from the Black Gummi shake he had given to Kitsu.
He drank about half of it before finally placing that drink down as well, the heat in his mouth apparently sated for now.
“Feeling better?” Kitsu asked.
Kai nodded “Yeah.. thanks..”
“So what did you think? Going to order a Red Gummi shake next time?” Rosa asked in a teasing voice.
Kai shook his head “N..no that one's a bit much for me.. but I actually liked the blended one.. it wasn't too hot but still had that taste..”
“Of Kitsu?” Rosa cut in with a playful grin.
Kai coughed, looking flustered but whether it was because of the drink was hard to say.
“I think I need some fresh air...” he then said before suddenly standing up from the table and looking over at Kitsu “Could we go for our walk?”
Kitsu smiled, though his was more genuine than Rosa's “Yeah, you probably need to cool down a little after that”
The Fennekin then looked over at the Houndour “Are you coming Rosa?”
She shook her head “I think I'll relax here tonight, you two go ahead!”
“Okay, I'll be back soon” Kitsu replied before giving the Houndour a nuzzle. He then turned and rushed to catch up with Kai who was already busting towards the exit.
“Ahhhh that;'s much better” Kai breathed out as the cool night air hit them outside the Cafe.
“You must be feeling pretty hot, let's take a slow walk instead of running today” Kitsu suggested.
Kai nodded “Yeah, good idea..”
So the two fox Pokemon took a casual stroll through Treasure Town and into the forest beyond.
They walked in silence for a while, both enjoying the night atmosphere as they often did on their regular night walks.
They hadn't made it too far in when Kitsu noticed Kai had fallen behind.
“Everything okay Kai?” he asked as he looked back at him.
The Nickit looked uneasy, his steps uncertain and legs looking a little shaky.
The heavy tail he usually held high when walking was trailing through the undergrowth.
“Are you still feeling hot? Kitsu asked assuming the Nickit was still sweltering from his indulgences of the spicy beverages.
“I think there's a small pool over that way” the Fennekin gestured further into the forest “You can cool off and have a drink there..”
The Nickit quickly shook his head as if the idea scared him before replying “N.. no I'm fine.. “
He then trotted forward a few steps as to catch up to the Fennekin but after only a couple of strides he suddenly froze to the spot.
His entire body seemed to tense, his eyes widening as if he had just been binded to the by some attack.
“What's wrong?” Kitsu asked, actual concern in his voice now.
Kai didn't reply, instead he started to frantically look around at their surroundings.
Then after a moment he replied in a bit of a squeal “S...stay there Kitsu.. I'll be right back.. D..don't follow me!”
Kitsu stared in confusion as the Nickit hobbled out of sight behind a nearby bush.
“Kai what's going o...” he called out but before he could finish his question, he got his answer.
Though not in words.

It didn't take a Psychic Pokemon to realize what the sound meant.
Kitsu settled down on the other side of the bush, close enough to be on guard while his Nickit friend was otherwise indisposed but respecting his wishes not to follow him.
The Fennekin himself looked a little flustered now as he listened to the sounds of Kai desperately relieving himself on the other side of the bush.
The intensity of the sound, given it should have been muffled by the grassy forest floor suggested the Nickit had really been quite desperate.
Kitsu didn't speak out, knowing the Nickit was already embarrassed enough about the situation.
Not that he really should have needed to. The pair had shared far more personal experiences together already to the point it was almost silly to think the Nickit needed to hide behind a bush to simply relieve himself.
Still, the Nickit was a rather anxious Pokemon, more so than even the Fennekin who wasn't exactly the confident sort.
So it was quite surprising to Kitsu when even as the still loud hiss of the Nickit's stream was filling the air that Kai spoke out to him.
“I'm sorry Kitsu.. I couldn't hold it any longer..” he began to explain.
Kitsu, still not daring to look past the bush replied “You don't have to apologise... you did drink quite a lot..”
“It's those Red Gummi shakes!” the Nickit went on “The heat. Do Fire types always feel like this? It's too hot I.. just had to get it out..”
Of course Kitsu couldn't possibly know what the Nickit was feeling, nor could he currently see the evidence of the visibly steaming golden liquid that the Nickit was rapidly expelling out of the hot tip of his member,
But he could smell it.
The potent scent that came with it, the type that wild Pokemon may use to mark their territory was unmistakable to a Pokemon with such a sensitive nose as the Fennekin.
So it was quite notable to Kitsu that the scent that was currently wafting through the bush, that personal scent that should have said to any passing Pokemon that Kai was here, didn't exactly smell like the Kai he knew.
As Kitsu said as much in a mutter to himself.
“He really does smell more like a Fire type right now though..”
Somehow this thought only made his own face grow more flustered.
The steady psssssst continued for a little longer, the sheer amount of time it was taking the poor Nickit to empty his seemingly burning bladder was quite remarkable, only making the otherwise silent air between them all the more awkward.
None the less it eventually started to peter out and after a brief moment more the Nickit returned from behind the bush as he reappeared at the Fennekin's side.
“T..thanks for waiting Kitsu” The Nickit said sheepishly “I r,,really needed that. It's never felt so hot like that before”
“It's fine Kai!” Kistu assured him “Ready to continue our walk?”
Kai nodded and the two fell in step as they walked onwards into the forest.
“So I guess you won't be drinking any more Red Gummi shakes after all?” Kitsu asked after a while, oddly sounding a bit disappointed.
Kai put on a thoughtful expression “I'm not sure.. Maybe if I get more used to it.. I liked the taste, it was just hot.. ”
Kitsu nodded and then after a short pause he spoke once more “Hey Kai..”
“Hm?” Kai tilted his head.
The Fennekin hesitated in his reply as if unsure whether to continue but in the end he found the nerve to ask “You know you said it tasted like me?”
Kai's face tensed at this and he immediately began to fumble for words “I didn't mean that Kitsu! I was.. just I meant..”
“No it's okay. I was just wondering when you... you know tasted it?” Kitsu asked him looking just as flustered as the Nickit he was calling out “Was it when I used your tail?”
Kai looked away abashed, but then gave a small nod “Th..there was so much of it, I couldn't clean it with my tongue even if I wanted to. It took me ages to clean even at the waterhole..”
“Sorry...” Kitsu apologised this time.
“I didn't mind.. but yeah I may have tasted it a little all the same...” Kai finally admitted shamefully.
Kitsu smiled at his honesty as he too gave a small confession “You know, I thought the Black Gummi tasted like you as well..”
“When did you..” Kai began to ask at the unexpected admission but Kitsu didn't need him to finish.
“I mean we've pawed off together a bunch of times.,. You don't have the best aim. You usually get a good amount of in my ear fur...” Kitsu confessed.
“I.. sorry..” Kai apologised yet again.
This time Kitsu simply chuckled.
Another slightly awkward silence fell between them.
Then Kitsu asked “So anyway, I guess if you're feeling sore after the Gummi shakes you won't want to..” Kitsu then asked.
Kai shook his head “I'll still be fine for that..”
Kitsu beamed “Usual spot then?”
Kai nodded.
