As usual Mei went ahead to get supplies and Shisa of course was already eyeing around at the local females who were for the most part eyeing him in return. He wasn't exactly picky but he was a large pokemon and even for an Arcanine he was pretty well endowed so finding the an appropriate partner wasn’t always easy, it wasn’t uncommon for him to end up unsatisfied with his pick. Even so it didn't take him long, as he spotted a Pyroar who looked up to task. I didn't mean to stare, I just noticed you walk into town, I haven’t seen you around before.\"\n\nSpire smiled, she seemed friendly.\n\n\"Ah yes I'm new in town, me and my friends just got here after a long journey.”\n\nThe Chikorita gave a gentle smile \"That must be tough, traveling can really take it out of you.”\n“Yeah it’s always a relief to find a town so we can relax after a journey. Especially when the locals are so friendly” he added with a genuine smile.\nThe Chikorita blushed a little “Yeah most of the residents here are nice. I see your Arcanine friend didn't waste any time though getting to know them either..\"\n\nSpire looked away a little shyly \"Yeah.... he is always quick at getting to know the locals...\"\n\nThe Chikorita laughed \"I'm not surprised, he has quite the presence I'm sure he is rather popular.\"\n\n\"Yeah he knows how to make an impression alright, the new handsome Arcanine in town.. \"\n\n\"Well I guess that appeals to some. I prefer the cute and sweet guys myself.\" the Chikorita said with a flick of her head, her leaf falling to the side giving him a better view of her eyes, the pretty red pupils seemed to give off a hint of mischief as she added \"I suppose you like the elegant and graceful type yourself? Like that Pyroar?\"\n\nSpire gave a half smile, blushing as he realized must have seen him gaping after her.\n\n\"Well.. I suppose I do, but looks aren’t everything, I got the impression she wasn’t as friendly as you.”\n\nThe Chikorita laughed again “Good eye, that Pyroar is actually an utter prune, no one in town gets along with her. If she's half as ‘uptight’ as her attitude is then your friend isn't going to get far with her.\"\n\nThis made Spire laugh at loud.
