As Gabe/Howard approached the staff lounge, he chuckled to himself as he rubbed his gurgling gut, “Mmm… I’m gonna need a quiet nap now to digest you…” The possessed fennecat let out a yawn as he opened the door and slipped inside. “This place should be quiet enough…” He looked out through the crack in the door, his eyes momentarily meeting James's eyes, more than confirming who it was to him before the door slammed shut. The possessed fennecat giggled to himself as he massaged his belly, prompting it to gurgle louder and work harder in breaking down the demon within.
James himself was not going to sit around and let Howard get away with this. While serving as his vessel in a vain attempt to control Howard, he'd been made to rape so many...the upside to this scenario is that Howard put himself at a disadvantage like this. In spirit form, he had limited access to his powers.
Rolling his sleeves up, he marched over to the staff lounge, growling to himself, "Oh no you don't, not this time!" He wrenched the door open and swept inside. Howard jumped a bit, looking back at the intruder as he was half bent over, making to drop onto the lounge couch. He tried to straighten up and said, "Oh, hi there James…"
James glared at Howard, possessing Gabe's body, stared at the swollen, squirming belly which groaned and gurgled gently. Howard could normally digest prey quite quickly, but when possessing a non demon like Gabe, he'd need more time. There might still be a chance to save whoever it was he'd eaten. A faint blue glow began to build around the cat’s fur as he marched over towards Howard.
Howard stepped back, looking slightly nervous as he asked, "What are you…?" A bit of realization dawned in those yellow, glowing eyes as he said, "Wait…"
James stepped closer, the glow becoming more pronounced and making Howard shrink back a bit as he said, "This...this isn't what it looks like…!" He knew it was pointless to try and bullshit his way out of this, as he obviously had eaten someone while possessing someone else. Desperate, Howard attempted to dart past James, making for the door. He didn't want to lose his meal or the effect it would have on Gabe. James was faster however, and caught him with an outstretched arm, shoving him back. The glow around him spiked and he punched Gabe/Howard in the stomach, just under the bulge.
The hit affected Howard more than Gabe, the possessed fennecat partially doubling over, shocked. Howard tried to recover, but before he knew what was happening, James was behind him, grabbing him around the belly and compressing, his energies forcing the prey bulge up. Howard struggled, clasping his hands over his mouth and holding on as Aamon's head traveled back up his throat. He whined as the demon’s furred head pressed against his teeth, the powerful urge to heave out his prize increasing by the second as James repositioned his hands and squeezed again. Finally, Howard couldn't take it and he released his hands from his mouth, sending Aamon tumbling out onto the floor, slimy and a little singed, but otherwise fine.
Coughing, Howard gasped for breath before being thrown back. Unbalanced, he took the moment that James used to move Aamon out of the way to recover his balance. He glared at James but that glare melted into fear as the empowered James rushed at him, fists balled. Knowing exactly what was coming, Howard shrank back and squealed as James punched him square in the chin.
"Agh! Not in the face! Ouch!" Howard was punched again from the other direction, and before he knew it, empowered punches were raining down against his host, punching not just Gabe but the spirit of Howard as well. Unable to weather the assault, Howard returned Gabe's body to normal and swiftly left it, fleeing for the door. James took a swipe at the exposed spirit of Howard, who willed the door open and fled out into the building before escaping back outside.
Now that he'd expelled Howard, James stopped punching Gabe and let him fall to the floor as he moved over to check the demon he'd rescued. Aamon was awake, though clearly traumatized. He seemed unaware of the rescue or the fight that had happened. Sighing, he checked Aamon's pockets for his wallet, finding it and his address, he slid his hands beneath Aamon and picked him up. He carried the demon bridal style out the open door and as he did, Aamon seemed to recover a little as he asked, "What happened…? Where am I…?"
James glanced at him and shook his head before saying, "Don't worry about it… I'll take you home." The staff looked a little relieved to see Aamon as James carried him past cubicles and to the elevators, taking him down to the parking lot where his car was parked.
As he loaded him up into his car, Gabe, bruised and scuffed up staggered out of the employee lounge, looking supremely disheveled as he said, "One step at a time, Gabe...one step at a time…"
