Yaphney Dogsbody, like other Hexside students and alumni, is from a reasonably fancy, wealthy family, no matter what her name might suggest (for a jinmenken family, it has the feel of being named something like Armstrong or Handey, but its relative age and them being first to claim it gives it the prestige of a name with some weight like Lancaster or Tudor.) But all the snails on the Boiling Isles can't buy dog pants for a uniform. She's a shy little bean, but this is life for her. If nothing else, her witch boyfriend gets a very nice view. Dog shoes are technically a thing but Yaphney barepaws it, which is a bonus view.
Fun! This amazing piece of beautiful art is by (HMD)Koba, who opens slots infrequently and fills up quickly. I feel fortunate to have this. So this is one of my Owl House OCs. There are more, I have a group image in the works. But Koba is a master of ferals and his paws and cookies are masterpieces of beauty. As said, Yaphney is a jinmenken like Barcus, that is, a human-faced dog. Though on the Boiling Isles they'd probably say witch-faced dog. She's more articulate than Barcus, the Dogsbody family puts on airs and have learned to speak. As noted by her sleeves, she's in the healing track, though post-Belos that doesn't mean she's coven-marked. She just wants to heal people. The Boiling Isles are a dangerous place, and she's just a silly little Smol Bean, she wants to be useful and help others. That's very sweet of her. She's very much an older student, almost graduated, so it's only regular naughty to be caught like this.
