George "Zed" Fox: The Backstory

Samantha M. Fox and Michael C. Fox were fresh University graduates that connected instantly. It only took 2 months from crush to engagement for them to tie the knot and share the fruits of their computer sciences degrees.

Michael and Samantha knew their child was to be special, but they could not anticipate that Samantha still looked slim even after several months of pregnancy. Even during ultrasounds,  the doctors were stumped... How could a fetus be so small yet have a normal heartbeat? The doctors then referred the couple to physicists, and they discovered a physical impossibility occurred: The fetus' molecules were smaller than the rest of the universe's molecules.

Samantha gave birth to a Dollar coin-sized boy. His name was George, according to Sam and Mike, it was thanks to all the sitcoms of the time. He was kept in the ICU for 2 months, but the solution to his size problems was eventually found. His nervous system controlled his size, and it required constant stimulation from a electronic device embedded in a hat.

Mike and Samantha were then able to raise him at normal size. They told him and anyone he met that he needed his hat on 24/7 or he would get sick to the point of immune system failure. But one day, his nervous system was bound to return him to the size he once was.

It happened the day he saw the movie "Antz", when he was 13 years old. He never saw the world from the point of view of a person's shoelaces, and he liked it so much that he shrunk even with the hat on. Not knowing what just happened to him, he walked around blind in the movie theater. He stumbled on what he later found out to be a pair of boots, and clung to what he thought were ropes, when it was someone's bootlaces. This person had to take a pager from her boyfriend and started walking out of the theater. George clinged onto the laces as if his life depended on it. His eyes were closed until she stopped at a phone booth. George opened his eyes to see towering criss-crossing laces on a knee-high boot that looked almost 10 stories tall. It was a scene exactly like what he just saw in the movie was what he saw through his eyes. George loved it! He then crawled beneath the tongue of her boot and stayed there until she got home. George also noticed a tingling sensation each time her foot hit the ground or if she knelt down.

Mike and Sam couldn't find George heading out of the theater, so they immediately issued an Amber Alert. The unsuspecting woman with George in her boot eventually found him by taking off her right boot. With George sleeping, she thought George was a realistic plushie, she was going to place him in a gift box to give to her boyfriend. George woke up during the evening news on a tabletop in front of a television. The Amber Alert for George was on television. The woman was stunned. The face matched the "doll" that was stuck in her boot.

This woman, Carmelita Fox, had to find a way to get George back to normal size before she returned him to his parents. She really couldn't afford this. She had police academy training in 2 weeks... But she couldn't give up on a lost child.

The night before she was to head out for the academy, Carmelita's boyfriend at the time stayed over and Carmelita was forced to let George sleep on her couch. George dreamed that night that he was a watching a NBA game from courtside in his normal size, but once he got the ball, he grew to be taller than the tallest person on the team: Yao Ming. The dream was interrupted when he heard the sound of crashing. George woke up, and his hand had whacked a table, knocking Carmelita's TV to the floor. Carmelita and her boyfriend went downstairs to find a 8 foot tall George slouched on the couch. The boyfriend ran out the door, never to be heard from again.

Carmelita wanted to find out what he was dreaming about, and found out that he was dreaming he was taller than Yao Ming. Carmelita had found out how to control his size. She told George to think he was the size of his classmates. It worked. Carmelita then called the people she was going to work for, returned George to Mike and Sam, and gave George advice to control his size. Carmelita received praise at academy training the following day.

George only shrunk uncontrollably 5 times during High School, but was caught hugging feet only once. All were on classmates he found attractive. After High School, he left his parent's house and he began to see people from different dimensions. They began to supply him with gadgets to help him at his default size. This included adventure vests, forcefields, cloaks, endless gum, and a teleportation enabled cell phone. Even older, he's used to wearing hats, but he no longer needs electronic stimulators to retain his size.

His roommate, Casey, tried to convince him to go to college. George felt that with all his gadgets, he was set for life. Casey also referred to him as "Zed" thanks to him talking about the movie "Antz" whenever a discussion about "size" started.

George needed money for his living expenses, but he only worked one job: Being a cashier at a computer store. During his work, he bought a Zi8 1080p camera and a GoPro HD POV camera to put in his hat. He was fired after 10 months, after Carmelita (now a police officer for Interpol and working out of Canada) walked into the store and he shrunk and crawled into her boot again. Carmelita blushed, knowing that George is happily squirming in her boot. Carmelita offered her place for free after George got fired and his roommate not allowing him near his new girlfriend.

George now lives from time to time in Carmelita's house and her recent ex-boyfriend Jack's house. Whenever she is out hunting for a raccoon named Sly Cooper, George has to stay with her ex raccoon boyfriend's house, in his basement. They never know each others there, but George always loves when Carmelita comes home, often hugging her leg each time and then being stuffed back into her boot for an hour.

One day, with Carmelita at a friend's house and George tagging along and staying by the shoe rack, George spotted another fox half his size. His name was James. He commented that George was swimming in shoes, and a conversation eventually evolved on how George should care for other people and how they'd feel if they found out he was riding in their shoes. George at this moment believes everyone is like Carmelita. He believes all women find it sweet that he's in their shoes. James teaches him that he needs to ask each time he plans to do this. George then heads for the living room, grows to 5' 9'', and meets up with Carmelita's friends. Surprisingly, their reactions to the fact he can size shift and the fact he asked for if he could spend an hour in their shoes were genuinely positive, since he asked so nicely. George went back to the shoe rack, shrunk down, and hugged James. George was just blissfully happy that he got more women to allow him inside their shoes. He instantly made him a friend, and James promised to teach him more on how to look past himself and to other people, therefore becoming a better person.
