"description": "Redemption Part Two\n\nWith the suns steady rise further into the sky, Kovu’s became more and more perplexed by his sisters actions. Kovu watched as Vitani slowly moved around him, that unnerving smile never left her face as she moved between him and the river. She took her time with every step, stretching out as if to show off every muscle and curve of her body to him. “What did they do to you?” the young cub questioned, his concern for his sisters bizarre behavior becoming greater with each passing minute.\n\nVitani only chuckled and turned towards the river, closing her eyes, and sighing as if she was remembering something pleasant. As she once again turned towards him, she opened her eyes again and spoke “All kinds of wonderful things.” Kovu was about to question further when she spoke again “I was scared at first, all the things mother told us, all the training she put us through, could never have prepared me for what Simba’s Pride had to offer.”\n\nOnce again Vitani started to circle around him, at first Kovu suspected that his sister was sizing him up for a fight. The look in her eyes though, told another story. Gone was the fire and ferocity that their mother had been so persistent in fueling. Now her eyes were filled with…Kovu didn’t know but, they reminded him of someone, someone that had brought him peace.\n\n“Kiara” Kovu said without thinking, his eyes widened and his paws immediately went to his mouth. Expecting Vitani to be angry or surprised, instead he watched his sister nervously look around an expression of near panic on her face. Kovu was confused by this, even if Kiara caught them talking it was unlikely that she would tell her father, she seem to enjoy his company as much as he enjoyed hers.\n\n“I’m sorry Vitani I just” Kovu stopped speaking when his sister didn’t return to the laidback behavior, that he had seen before. Instead her eyes quickly glanced over to the grass, and then quickly return to him. Kovu looked to the tall grass and then to his sister, who had put on a nervous smile, something wasn’t right.\n\nKovu repeatedly looked to the grass where Vitani had glanced, then back to his sister. “Vitani, what’s going on?” Kovu questioned, he knew that his sister was a poor liar and that there was more to her strange behavior then a change of scenery. Vitani looked to the ground, her eyes closed, she let out a long sigh, and looked up at her brother. “I’m sorry Kovu, I didn’t want to do it this way.”\n\nVitani’s words confused Kovu, “I told them that I could take care of you but, they wanted to be sure.” With these words Vitani once again circled around him, had he not been so confused by his sister’s words he’d have noticed that not only did she get between him and his only escape route but, she also got him to turn his back to the tall grass where she had been looking.\n\nKovu was at a loss of words as Vitani faced him, as he thought of what his sister had said it final dawned on him. “What did you do?” he said taking a step back away from her, fear welling up in him as Vitani spoke again “Are you afraid Kovu…don’t be, this is for your own good” Had Kovu not been distracted by Vitani’s words, he would have heard the tall grass behind him part.\n\nThe first sign that something was wrong was when Kovu felt the suns hot rays disappear as a large shadow fell over him. Before he could turn around to see what caused it, he heard a familiar growl, one that caused him such fear in him that it stole his breath. As a look of realization and horror came across Kovu’s face, Vitani’s presents went almost unnoticed as she stepped closer to him, the smile that had unnerved him before had returned, she leaned forward and whispered in his ear “Don’t run”\n\nNote: Sorry for the shortness of the story portion for this part. Originally it was going to be longer with Vitani leading Kovu to an area deeper in the Pridelands where Simba would get him but, I figured Simba wouldn't want to leave catching Kovu to chance. I also have a plan to have Kovu better see the Pridelands in Part Four. Next part will probably be short to due to the situation. All in all this is one of my favorite clean pictures of the series, I've always loved the shadow standing behind someone bit (I don't know what you would call it).
