They say that reading is always worthwhile. It's the act of reading itself that matters, not so much what you read. To think that there was a time when porn was available mostly in just magazines. In the times before the Internet. In the times when Betamax competed for dominance with VHS and lost. In those glorious days a lifetime ago, for any healthy and curious boy it was an important milestone in growing up when they got their hands on their very first naughty magazine.
With a heart beating so loudly they had to check every once in a while to make sure that nobody had heard it, they would take their treasure out of whatever place they had hidden it in and examine it with awe and respect, for it was a messenger from an altogether different world.
Under the mattress was a popular choice for a hiding place, but it was an obvious one. It was shown in too many movies, comics, and who knows where that the place had become something to start a search from, if one were intent on finding such treasures.
Right next to a wall in his room Chi had a loose floorboard, on top of which there was a small bookshelf. He had decided he had the perfect hiding place, although it would mean he had to move the shelf out of the way when the curiosity to examine his treasure became unbearable. It required that nobody was home, though, for moving the shelf could make a sound. So he had patiently awaited until he was alone so that he could study his find more closely.
The timing was perfect. The loneliness wasn't going anywhere, but the curiosity and the excitement put it on the background in his mind so that he barely noticed it at all. Chi moved the shelf from its one end with a creak - just enough to reveal the floorboard which he then moved aside and took the magazine from underneath. What secrets could it reveal? The research heavily involved Chi's own future life so it had to be conducted despite any and all the risks involved. He simply had to know.
