Real equine mafioso type bullshit, those fuckers used to leave hand-made licorice chocolates at crime scenes, and lemme tell you, the complimentary chocolates at the resort were a 1 to 1 match, right down to the way they got little air pockets in the white part that go squish when you bite down on 'em. The whole thing's obviously a front, but I got no clue what they're actually doin' here besides runnin' drugs and their incestuous S&M Illuminati schaboozle. but there's some stuff I gotta check out before I bail. No idea where they're getting these toyboys from though...Yeah, no way they're all the mob boss's offspring - he's got three biological sons on our record, all adults who make up the head staff, but like there's something off about the younger boys. They all look like him, but they’re treated like the products, packaged, sold, trained to use their whole bodies to please the clients. You know those stories about cartel big shots rolling’ cigars offa virgin thighs or taking shots off a kid’s abs? yeah it ain’t a story in a place like this. Wouldn’t be surprised if I found out the filling in these stogies was cut with dried and treated colt manure. Didn’t Fabio mention something like that at our last office party?

Turns out you can do a lot with molasses other than make the worst jellybeans, though. It's used in all sorts of licorice, to flavor tobaccos and bind cigars, as a primary ingredient in certain kinds of whiskey and so on. A lot of things that kind of get associated with fancy erudite decadence seem to use molasses, and of course horses love it...and horses are also often associated with fancy erudite decadence, so the kink in this pic kind of just wrote itself. I did a lot of referencing for this one, as I was trying to capture that specific sleazy-but-moody dark room lighting you always see in wine catalogue photos and such.
For the image itself, I tried a lot of new things. There are a few kinks represented in here I've only recently started to experiment with, and I attempted to zone in on a few rendering techniques to figure out how I feel about them. I revised my toolset in the drawing app I use to get some higher resolution brushes, and tried to use a process closer to oil painting to approach as if I were doing concept art speed painting. It ended up taking way longer to actually finish though, and digital oil brushes can be pretty hard to control if you don't know what you're doing.
