Birds started happily chirping, as they did every morning. Little StarBuddies floated around as they did every morning, looking at the Care Bears and the Care Bear Cousins waking up like they did every morning. Yet, something was different this specific morning.\n\nIt was almost two months after the life in the Kingdom of Caring had been seriously shaken twice. First by the accident Frolicheart Puma had when he was busy working on Proudheart's cloud cottage, which had landed him in the medical wing of the Hall of Hearts with some pretty serious injuries for three weeks. Second by the serious troubles with Swiftheart Rabbit, which had eventually led to the rediscovery of a long lost Care Bear Cousin, a fox by the name of Fearlessheart Fox. Now, almost two months later, life had returned back to normal in both Care a Lot and the Forest of Feelings. No one had seen Fearlessheart Fox ever since he had left for a far part of the Forest of Feelings to have some time by himself and re-find himself after all that had happened, and although the troubles had been really really serious, the new vulpine Care Bear Cousin was thought of very frequently and worried over by all other members of the Care Bear Family. Yet, even though some had searched for him, trying to find him, no one had so far managed to locate his whereabouts. Most probably only Feralheart Vixen might know where he was, since she knew every tree, every shrub, every blade of grass in the Forest of Feelings. But because the vixen was such a loner, almost no one ever saw her either, and therefore could not ask her if she maybe had seen Fearlessheart anywhere. Frolicheart was home again, and by nothing one could tell he'd had an accident. The ribs and the left arm he had broken had healed, and fur had grown back over the spots Take Care Bear had shaved to stitch the cuts the beige-orange puma had sustained. He even had recovered so much that he had already finished the last of the work on Proudheart's cottage. However, since his accident, Proudheart, who had been positively delighted over the way her cottage looked now, had still declined to take it for her house. Frolicheart's accident had shocked her so much, and she had realized just how deep her love for him was, and she knew she wanted to spend her entire life with him, so she just stayed in Frolicheart's cottage with him. That same counted for Cunningheart Snowleopard, who was still living with Royalheart Tiger. This pretty grey-rosetted white feline had also decided not to return to her own cottage after it had been rebuilt, but stayed to live with Royalheart in his cottage.\n\nOn that specific morning that looked so much the same as all other mornings in the Kingdom of Caring but yet was a little different, the sun peeked through the trees of the Forest of Feelings to illuminate a scene that had slowly become a common sight there. The small clearing where Frolicheart's cloud cottage was had given birth to a third building. There was the puma's cloud cottage, and the garage where he kept his collection of classic cars in, and now an addition had been built to the garage, housing a workshop not inferior to Brightheart Racoon's workshop, with the only difference that it wasn't used to build inventions in, but to restore cars in. A number of classic cars were parked on the clouds here and there; Frolicheart's daily driver, a convertible 1960 bright white Chevrolet Impala, Proudheart's sassy 1970 orange Mercedes 280 SL, the famous summery green-yellow Boss 429 Ford Mustang that had once saved all the Care Bear Cousins from Noheart's evil magic and which had been fully rebuilt since that day when it had fallen apart, and several other cars as well. Two cars in particular drew attention. One was a car that you could just not imagine the beige-orange puma would use to race with. And in fact, he didn't, either. It was a 1958 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith Park Ward, in a two-tone silver paintscheme. And it was the only car of Frolicheart's collection that the entire Care Bear Family was deeply impressed by. Many of the bears and cousins mostly regarded the beige-orange puma's passion for cars with amusement, and some even didn't exactly like it he brought all those cars up to the Kingdom of Caring, but even Trueheart and Nobleheart were very very impressed by the sheer beauty of that luxurious Rolls Royce.\n\nThe other car that immediately drew attention was the one Frolicheart was working on that specific morning. Even though the car had obviously come from a junkyard, it still made any passing bear or cousin hold in his or her pace to look at it. The dents and other damage, the rust, and the withered paint that showed the car had once been red notwithstanding, the car looked like a special beauty indeed. It had a streamline that was not found on any of the other cars Frolicheart possessed. It had an elegance, even despite the rust and damage, an elegance that showed the finest of craftsmanship had been put in this car when it had been constructed. It had a beauty that did not go by unnoticed, yet it had an appearance that under the sleek hood was a piece of machinery capable of making this car perform like no one would believe. And it had a severe grip on Frolicheart, for more than the auto-technical reasons mentioned.\n\nIt was a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, and it had been given to the beige-orange puma by Fearlessheart Fox, as a thank-you gift for all Frolicheart and Proudheart had done for him in the situation concerning Swiftheart. A thank-you gift as well as a departing gift, for Fearlessheart had given the directions of where to find the car on the day he left for the farthest reaches of the Forest of Feelings. However, in the short time the fox had inhabited a cloud cottage in the Forest of Feelings, Frolicheart had become very close friends with him, not only because also Fearlessheart had a passion for classic cars and had even raced cars in his time on Earth himself, but also because there was an almost unnatural match in their characters. Both of them had been separated from the group of cubs that had found their way to the Kingdom of Caring. Both of them had grown up in a completely other place, and both of them had had it very hard in their cubhood. Though indirectly, both of them had suffered from more or less the same things, and it were those things that had brought them together in a way. The fox and the puma knew the same pain, and they could understand each other in a way not even Trueheart and Nobleheart could understand them. It therefore was quite hard on Frolicheart that Fearlessheart had hidden himself so well that no one could find him. He had tried many times to locate the fox, and he was genuinely concerned about his well-being, but he understood and respected the reasons why Fearlessheart did not show himself, and he told himself oftentimes to just have patience and wait until Fearlessheart would find it the right time to return and take up his place in the Care Bear Family. But Frolicheart had decided that, if he then couldn't find Fearlessheart, the least he could do was to make absolutely sure that the car the fox had given him would once more become the priceless beauty it was supposed to be, in honor of his very best friend.\n\nIt was therefore that the beige-orange puma worked on the restoration of the car with an almost feverish determination, going through the same extremes he had gone through when rebuilding Proudheart's cloud cottage. This had often led to Proudheart having to literally drag him away from the car to eat or sleep, it had led to several warnings from Take Care Bear that what he was doing was very bad for his health, it had even led to reprimands from Tenderheart Bear because Frolicheart seemed to be giving the impression that restoring that car was more important to him than anything else, including his so responsible task in the Care Bear Family. More than once had the puma failed to report in the Hall of Hearts for the handing out of the caring missions, sometimes he had even refused to take on a mission unless the place on Earth where he needed to go was close enough to a junkyard where he might find parts, and the entire Care Bear Counsil had only managed with a lot of effort to stop Frolicheart from leaving the Kingdom of Caring for some time to travel to Italy, the birth-land of the Ferrari, to go look for parts and such at the source.\n\nEven this specific morning, the beige-orange puma had been up since the break of dawn to work on the Ferrari, not letting anyone or anything hold him back from it, not even Proudheart. The pretty orange kittie was sitting on the swing chair on the porch, looking at her lover working on the car, and every now and then she shook her head a bit. She knew how incredibly much this car meant to Frolicheart, and she so understood his feelings about it as she so felt his worry about Fearlessheart, but she also felt worry for Frolicheart himself, seeing as how the puma was seeming to be prepared to restore the car even if it would cost him his health or even his life. But, knowing that she could not keep Frolicheart away from the car, Proudheart had decided that the best she could then do was to help her feline lover in the best way she could, by caring for him extra much, by making sure he got his needed hours of sleep and portions of food, even if it meant having to bring him dinner under the car. After a while, Proudheart looked up when her Care Alert gave a signal. The little heart-shaped device amongst others served purpose as a sort of pager and walkie-talkie. Proudheart took it, pressed a button and spoke into it.\n \"Yes, this is Prrroudhearrrt?\"\n \"Pjoudheart, it's Tenderheart,\" a voice sounded from the Care Alert. \"You and Fjolicheart are to come to the Hall of Heajts right away. Everyone is coming. Tjueheart and Nobleheart have very impojtant news to tell all of us.\"\n \"We'rre coming overrr, Tenderrhearrrt,\" Proudheart said. \"See you therrre.\"\nThe connection was cut, and while Proudheart put her Care Alert with her she rose up, stepped off the porch and walked over to the Ferrari where Frolicheart was lying under.\n \"Frrolichearrrt? I'm sorrry to interrrupt you, but Tenderrhearrrt just called and said we have to come to the Hall of Hearrts. Trrruehearrt and Noblehearrt have verrry imporrtant news to tell all of us.\"\n \"You go on ahead pussycat, and I'll be right over as soon as I've finished this,\" Frolicheart's voice sounded from under the car.\nProudheart opened her mouth to say that maybe that wasn't too good of an idea and that they really should be going together, but then she thought better of it. She knew she couldn't convince Frolicheart to stop his work right away anyway, so she just shrugged a bit.\n \"Okay, but don't be too long, alrrright?\" she said. \"This rreally sounded verrry imporrtant, and I don't want Tenderrhearrrt, Trruehearrrt orr Noblehearrrt having to scold you again.\"\nA soft chuckle sounded from under the Ferrari.\n \"Don't worry pussycat, I'll really get there as soon as I can.\"\n\nProudheart shrugged a little again, got into her orange Mercedes and drove off to Care a Lot. On her way there she was joined by several Cloudsmobiles with other Care Bear Cousins making their way to the Hall of Hearts, and many of the bears were also driving or walking towards it. Inside the Hall of Hearts, Tenderheart, Trueheart and Nobleheart were already at the large heart-shaped symposium-table, sitting at the head of it, where the two curves of the heart joined, looking at all the Family members coming in and finding themselves a seat. When no one came in anymore, Tenderheart rose up from his chair and looked around the table.\n \"Right,\" he said. \"Before we stajt, let's see who are still absent. Hmmm, Fearlessheart is not here, which is logical. Feralheart is not here, which also is logical.\" His brow wrinkled when he noticed the empty chair next to Proudheart. \"But twinkling rainbows, where's Fjolicheart?\"\n \"He said he'd be herrre as soon as he could,\" Proudheart said a bit apologetically.\n \"Hm,\" Tenderheart said with a slight huff. \"Alright, we'll give him ten minutes.\"\n\nSince they had to wait, all Family members started talking with each other a bit, speculating on what important news it could be that Nobleheart and Trueheart had to tell them. Slowly, the ten minutes turned into twenty minutes, but... still no Frolicheart. When after another ten minutes a round half hour had elapsed, Tenderheart rose up a bit impatiently.\n \"This is getting out of hand,\" he said. \"I do understand Fjolicheart's feelings about that car he's gotten, but this is cjazy. I'm going to get him.\"\n\nHe paced out of the Hall of Heart before Proudheart could even rise up to say something. Again, with nothing else to do, the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins started talking to each other, this time also mixing in a little chatting about Frolicheart's behaviour of the past time. As little as another ten minutes later, everyone looked up at the sound of a Cloudsmobile stopping in front of the Hall of Hearts, and a moment later Tenderheart and Frolicheart entered the Hall. It was clear Tenderheart had literally dragged the puma from underneath the car. Frolicheart's sleek beige-orange fur was stained with oil and rust and whatnot, and his ears were pointing sideways guiltily while Tenderheart marched him into the Hall with a paw firmly on the puma's shoulder. He planted Frolicheart into the chair next to Proudheart, after that taking his own seat at the head of the table.\n \"Right,\" the brown bear said. \"Now that everyone is [i]finally[/i] here, maybe we can get this meeting stajted. As I infojmed all of you, Tjueheart and Nobleheart have very very impojtant news to tell us all. I give the wojd to them.\"\nNobleheart and Trueheart both rose up and looked around the table.\n \"My dear boys and girls,\" Nobleheart started. \"As you all are well aware, this Family has been through its hard times to get fully reunited in our beloved Kingdom of Caring. A number of you who are around this table have not been here from the very beginning on, for several reasons.\" All the bears and cousins indicated with that; Cunningheart Snowleopard, Royalheart Tiger, Frolicheart Puma, Sugar Bear, Easy Bear, Heaven Bear, Mischief Bear, Opposite Bear and Nocturnalheart Bear, nodded silently at that. \"However,\" Nobleheart continued, \"in the passing of time, through either one way or the other, the ones of you that had gone missing in the earliest of times when Trueheart and I brought you here have been found and brought to the place and into the Family where you belong. There is however the fact that still, this Family is not complete yet.\"\n \"That is correct,\" Trueheart took over, silencing the mumbling that had risen up from around the table. \"Whenever one of you who was still missing had been found, he or she has been brought to our Kingdom of Caring to be a part of our wonderful Family. Some, however, have chosen not to come but to remain on that spot of the Earth where they grew up instead. Of course, neither Nobleheart nor I have thought about forcing them to come, and although it did sadden us somewhat that this was the choice of some, we respect that choice. It has turned out that staying in the place where they have grown up even was better for those members of our Family. But..! The bond with our Family of course is very strong, and the desire to be with the rest of us does sometime occur, and it is therefore with happiness that Nobleheart and I announce that in a few days from now, someone from our Family who is not living here with us is coming for a visit.\"\nA hubbub rose up around the table, and Good Luck Bear jumped up, not able to restrain himself.\n \"Perfect and Polite! Are they coming over?! Wow!\"\nNobleheart smiled and Trueheart giggled a bit, and the yellow bear with the multi-colored specks all over her body and the multi-colored tail and flock of hair on her head raised a paw, silencing the hubbub again.\n \"I am sorry to say, Good Luck, that it were not Perfect and Polite Panda whom I was referring to,\" she said.\nThis announcement from Trueheart Bear created an ever louder hubbub, as all bears and cousins now looked at each other in surprise and started wondering aloud what or whom it could be Trueheart was talking about.\n \"Are there even more of us on Earth?\" Cheer Bear asked.\n \"Yes, Cheer,\" Nobleheart said, silencing the hubbub again as everyone now attentively turned to the purple horse to hear about this. \"As you know, Perfect and Polite Panda live in a valley somewhere in the far East, and not very far away from there, in another valley somewhere in Japan, lives another cousin of yours, someone whom only very little if not none of you know under the name of Rainbowheart Dragon.\"\n\nAgain all bears and cousins looked at each other, surprise evident on all of their faces except Grams'. It was all too clear that the name did not ring a bell with any of the members of the Care Bear Family. When the hubbub had died out by itself, Nobleheart rose up again and looked around the table with a smile.\n \"I shall tell all of you a little bit about Rainbowheart,\" he said. \"The reason why she chose not to live with the rest of us in the Kingdom of Caring is similar to the reason why Perfect and Polite Panda do not live with us here. The valley in which Rainbowheart grew up has, in the same mysterious way as with Perfect and Polite, grown dependant of her presence there. It is the love and care of Rainbowheart that keeps this valley thriving and safe and pleasant to live in. Would she come to live with us in the Kingdom of Caring for good, her valley would wither like we have seen happening with the valley Perfect and Polite live in when we brought them here.\"\n \"And besides that,\" Trueheart took over again, \"Rainbowheart has built a family-like relationship with the inhabitants of her valley, which also is a very important reason why she cannot leave it behind. However, she has kept contact with us, and she has written us that since everything is calm and peaceful in her valley because of a beautiful summer, she would love to come over and spend some time in our Kingdom of Caring.\" Trueheart looked around the table with a smile. \"And as I said, she will arrive in a few days from now.\"\nYet another hubbub was created when all bears and cousins started talking to each other, yet above it every now and then the voice of one of them could be heard, addressing either Trueheart or Nobleheart.\n \"What does she look like?\" Champ Bear asked.\n \"Yeah, is she, li-i-ike, fluffy like u-u-us?\" Gentleheart Lamb asked. \"I mean, a dra-a-agon usually has sca-a-ales, right?\"\n \"Usually, yes,\" Nobleheart said with a smile. \"But Rainbowheart is one of the very few rare dragons who does have a form of fur. If I were to describe her, she does more or less resemble a Retriever-dog in appearance, bodily and facial, although her body is more lean and elongated, and of course she has a pair of wings. Her fur is pink in color, of a shade somewhere in between your fur, Cheer, and Hugs' fur, though more intense. A bit candy-pink, actually.\"\n \"Does she also have a symbol like the rest of us?\" Funshine asked.\n \"So she does, Funshine,\" Trueheart smiled. \"Her symbol is a heart with slanted stripes in the colors of a rainbow. It is slightly similar to the balloons that make up Daydream Bear's symbol.\"\nThe orangy golden Care Bear with the symbol of a pair of rainbow-striped, heart-shaped balloons looked up when all eyes suddenly turned towards her.\n \"Hm?\" she said absently, as she was probably having visions of a beautiful Japanese valley. \"What's the matter? What are you all looking at me for?\"\nWith some smiles and chuckles all bears and cousins turned to each other and Trueheart and Nobleheart again. Suddenly, Share Bear let out a rather loud giggle.\n \"Heavens, I just thought of something! She doesn't breathe fire I hope? Because that doesn't exactly sound like something I'd like to have shared with me.\"\nTrueheart giggled, and Nobleheart laughed.\n \"I can assure you, Share, that Rainbowheart does not breathe fire!\" the purple horse said merrily. \"In fact, that is a trait which does not occur in the entire line of furred dragons from which Rainbowheart is descended.\" He looked around him, seeing all bears and cousins being excited over this news, yet also seeing Bedtime was snoozing, Brightheart was secretly jotting down formulas for an invention he was working on under the table, Daydream was daydreaming, and Frolicheart was obviously itching to get back to the work on his Ferrari. \"Well, we shall now give you the time to process this all for yourselves, so I call this meeting now closed. When we receive word from Rainbowheart on her exact date of arrival here, we shall let you know, and of course there shall be a welcoming party.\"\n\nThere was some cheering, the loudest cheer obviously coming from Birthday Bear, and even Secret Bear was so excited by the news that the cheer she let out actually produced sound. In twoes and threes the bears and cousins filed out of the Hall of Hearts, excitedly talking to each other. Nobleheart, Trueheart and Grams Bear looked after all the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins leaving with a smile. Birthday Bear and Surprise Bear left with their heads bent close to each other's, obviously already planning a few things for the party. Heaven Bear and Sugar Bear also were cheerfully chatting to each other about the news.\n \"Boy, this sure is exciting, isn't it?\" Sugar said.\n \"Yes, it sure is,\" Heaven said. \"It was a surprise too, I've never heard about a cousin named Rainbowheart. And to think I've lived in a valley in the East too!\"\n \"Yeah,\" Sugar nodded. She smiled strangely. \"Hmmm, and a furry dragon! That sounds so cute!\"\n \"I wonder if she's larger than all of us or just as large as the rest of us... hm, well, the rest of you,\" Heaven added with a giggle.\n\nSugar also giggled; Heaven was one of the smallest Care Bears in the Kingdom of Caring, only Hugs and Tugs were smaller than the sky blue bear. Both bears started giggling even harder when they had to step aside for a bright white Chevrolet Impala convertible speedily making its way down the rainbow path. Frolicheart was very obviously itching to get back to work on his Ferrari. The two Care Bear looked after the quickly receding Impala with a giggle, then continued on their walk.\n \"So, to come back to what I just said,\" Heaven giggled. \"Do you think this Rainbowheart-girl will be much larger than us, or just as big?\"\n \"I dunno, I'm guessing just as big,\" Sugar said. \"I mean, we're all kinda the same height, aren't we? Even Frolicheart, who's a puma after all, is kinda short for a puma, although he's the perfect size for a Care Bear Cousin. And even Trueheart, Nobleheart and Grams are not that very much bigger than the rest of us, so I'm just guessing this Rainbowheart will be just as big as we are too.\" Her eyes got that dreamy look again. \"Hmm, and in candy-pink fur...\" She quickly snapped out of her reverie and looked back at Heaven Bear with a soft giggle. \"I can't wait to meet her, frankly.\"\n \"No, I'm really curious about her too,\" Heaven nodded.\n\nThis was about the general thing that all other Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins were also talking about as they got to their homes. The next days saw a high activity in the Kingdom of Caring again. Of course, the activity in the Forest of Feelings was more or less the same as it had been for the past weeks; Frolicheart working on his Ferrari like he was possessed by it. But in Care a Lot, the Care Bears were busy preparing for the party to welcome their cousin Rainbowheart Dragon. The rainbows were polished until they glittered in the sunlight. All cloud cottages were polished until they were so brightly white it almost hurt your eyes. Garlands of colorful hearts and stars were hung all through Care a Lot from one rainbow-striped pole to another. Birthday Bear and Surprise Bear provided a stunning amount of balloons, and Birthday of course also provided a batch of cakes and cookies that could feed the entire population on Earth, while Surprise came up with an amount of confetti that could have caused a blizzard on Earth. Harmony Bear and Opposite Bear were practising songs with some of the others as they were thinking of putting on a show, and Hugs and Tugs had, with Grams' help, made a huge banner that read \"Welcome to Care a Lot, cousin Rainbowheart\". Another meeting had been called in the Hall of Hearts by Trueheart and Nobleheart when they had received a letter from Rainbowheart that told them she would be arriving in two days, and would be staying for a week. This increased the activity even more, as everyone was doing their best to make Care a Lot as pretty and inviting as possible. Even all the Care Bear Cousins, after having done the same to the Forest of Feelings, helped the Care Bears to decorate Care a Lot. Well, all except Frolicheart, who honestly didn't help because he didn't want to, but simply because he was too involved in restoring the Ferrari to think about anything else. And he was forgiven for it, because everyone knew he just couldn't help himself. The only little problem that had arisen, namely the question of where Rainbowheart should be staying for the week she'd be in Care a Lot, had been eagerly solved by Sugar Bear, who offered to let the dragoness cousin stay with her in her cloud cottage. So there was really nothing standing in the way of a very happy and cheerful reunion of the Care Bear Family with one of their far-away relatives.\n\nAfter two days, everyone was about sizzling with excitement. The entire Family, Frolicheart and even Feralheart Vixen included, was ready and waiting in Care a Lot. They were all standing in one huge group at the entrance of Care a Lot, under the big banner the two younger bears had made, craning their necks while looking at the east horizon. Rainbowheart should be arriving any minute now. The excited anticipation was so big that there was a shout of \"there she is!\" each time a bird or a star-buddy flew by in the bears' and cousins' field of vision. Of course, \"she\" wasn't it each time, and after a little while the birds and star-buddies made sure that they wouldn't float through the bit of sky that the Care Bear Family was intently watching, because the shouts scared them a bit. Very suddenly though, all bears and cousins jumped around when a merry voice sounded from somewhere behind them.\n \"Hey, what are you all looking at?\"\n\nJumping around, all members of the Care Bear Family were staring at a fluffy candy-pink dragoness of about their own size, looking at all of them with a friendly smile. On her white tummy was a large heart, slanted in five stripes of five different colors, like a rainbow. The dragoness was just folding her downy wings against her back after having taken off a cloud backpack.\n \"Rainbowheart!\" Nobleheart said, almost shouting, and laughing at the same time. \"We were looking out for you! We thought you'd be coming from the east!\"\n \"Basically, you're right,\" the fluffy dragoness said with a giggle. \"But I had to change course a bit not too far away from here due to the wind. It was safer to come in from the north-west.\"\n \"Well, either one way or the other, you're here now,\" Trueheart smiled. She stepped up to the candy-pink dragoness and hugged her. \"Welcome in our Kingdom of Caring, Rainbowheart.\"\n \"We've prepared a party for you!\" Birthday Bear cheered, not able to restrain herself for any longer and prompting the party into action.\n \"That's so sweet, thank you so much,\" Rainbowheart smiled. \"I appreciate that very much.\"\n\nWith the signal given, the party broke loose in all its festive cheerfulness. Leaving her cloud backpack in the Hall of Hearts for the time being, Rainbowheart was led through Care a Lot and introduced to each and every Care Bear and Care Bear Cousin. Some of them she still remembered, but for most of them, it was a novelty on both sides. Especially with the newest bears and cousins, the ones that had only been reunited with the Family after having been found back on Earth. Rainbowheart made all of their acquaintance cheerily, and she started giggling when Frolicheart reached out a paw to shake hers, suddenly looked at a dirty black stain on his paw and hurriedly pulled back to wipe his paw clean while blushing.\n \"Sorry about that.\"\n \"My, and I thought cats were such cleanly animals,\" Rainbowheart said with a giggle. \"What in star's name have you been doing?\"\n \"I'm working on a car I got from a friend,\" Frolicheart said. \"Sorry again, I thought I'd gotten everything off.\" He looked at his paw, seeing that he by now had managed to indeed wipe the stain away into the fur on his flank, so he reached out to Rainbowheart again. \"Well, anyway, pleased to meet you.\"\n \"Likewise, Frolicheart,\" Rainbowheart said with another giggle. \"And you gotta tell me about that car sometimes. It sounds interesting.\"\n \"Whoa, watch out what you wish forrr!\" Proudheart said teasingly. \"Afterrr all, you wrrote us you'd only be staying a week.\"\nRainbowheart looked a little surprised.\n \"Yeah, so..?\"\n \"Well, it's just, as soon as my dearr Frrolichearrrt gets starrrted on his carrrs, he'll be talking to you forrr a month, non-stop,\" Proudheart giggled.\nBoth feline Care Bear Cousins laughed heartedly, as did all the others that had been close by enough to hear it, and Rainbowheart also giggled cheerily.\n \"Well, maybe I should extend my stay a bit then, because it does sound interesting,\" she said. \"I'll get back to you on that, Frolicheart.\"\n \"Sure, anytime,\" Frolicheart grinned.\n\nWith another giggle, the candy-pink dragoness said goodbye to the two felines for now and continued being introduced to all the others. After some time she had been introduced and had gotten acquainted with everyone except for Feralheart, since the vixen really didn't feel comfortable in such a crowd and had found herself a shady spot. Nevertheless she had stayed in Care a Lot, not wanting to seem impolite, and she actually was enjoying a slice of cake. Everywhere around, the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins were enjoying the festivities of the party they had arranged for Rainbowheart's arrival. The fluffy dragoness wandered from one game to another, having a wonderful time with all the funny things that were going on. The air was filled with happy laughter. Here Funshine, Swiftheart, Cheer, Champ, Treatheart and Easy were playing leap-frog, there Playfulheart Monkey was juggling seventeen colorful balls at once, everywhere fun was had. Rainbowheart, noticing a very gigglish Hugs and Tugs bending over something near a cloud bank, walked over to the two younger Care Bears to see what they were having so much fun with. The fluffy candy-pink dragoness started giggling herself as well when she saw Hugs and Tugs were bending over a sleeping Bedtime Bear and were sculpting clouds all over him, making the blue bear look like some kind of hilarious snowman. For some reason, Sugar Bear kept hanging close around Rainbowheart, sort of as if the white Care Bear had taken it upon herself to lead the fluffy dragoness around the entire party.\n\nAs the day advanced, the fun and games gradually got sillier, since all Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins got slowly intoxicated by the cheerful fun like by good wine. Even Feralheart was now seen standing at a long table filled with large glass bowls of fruit punch and cakes and all, having a drink and talking to Frolicheart and Proudheart. Rainbowheart, who also stepped over to that table to have a drink, noticed the vixen standing there.\n \"Hey, hello there,\" she said. \"I don't think we've been introduced yet, have we?\"\nProudheart and Frolicheart looked up, and Feralheart turned around. As she did, Rainbowheart wrinkled her brow in surprise when she saw the front side of the vixen.\n \"Hey,\" she said slightly surprised. \"But you're not the fox I saw when I flew in. That one I saw had brown arms and legs and a white tummy, not yellow arms and legs and a yellow tummy like you have. Are there two foxes around this place?\" Feralheart nodded silently, and Rainbowheart looked around her. \"Really? And yet you're the only one I've seen at this party. Where's that other fox I saw then?\"\nFrolicheart immediately was full of attention, and he took Rainbowheart by a paw.\n \"Did you see our other fox cousin?\" he inquired. \"Where? Can you tell me where you saw him?\"\n \"Well...\" Rainbowheart was a little surprised again at the puma's urgent tone of voice. \"Let me think. I came in... from the north-west, and...\" She ran a paw over her muzzle, thinking. \"I noticed the landscape being quite desolate; grey and gloomy if you know what I mean, and it was rather chilly there too. I saw a fox wandering around there somewhere.\"\n \"Oh my stars,\" Frolicheart sighed, letting go of Rainbowheart's paw to push his fingers into his eyes.\nRainbowheart looked from Proudheart to Frolicheart to Feralheart.\n \"Say, what's going on?\" she asked.\n \"That otherrr fox you saw if Frrolichearrrt's best frriend,\" Proudheart explained softly. \"And it's not going all too well with him I'm afrraid. He's been gone forr weeks alrready, not showing himself. We'rre all verrry worrried about him.\"\nFrolicheart put his paws on Proudheart's shoulders.\n \"Pussycat, I'm going to search for him. I've gotta try and find him.\" He turned to Rainbowheart. \"I'm sorry, I really don't want to seem impolite by leaving your party or anything, but I've just got to try and find my friend. He's gone through such an awful time, and I'm worried sick about him.\"\n \"I understand,\" Rainbowheart said. \"I don't mind, you go on ahead and look for your friend. As I said, I saw him wandering around in an open, quite gloomy landscape. It's some way away from a rather large forest, I saw that next when I flew in here.\"\n \"The Forest of Feelings, we live there,\" Frolicheart nodded. \"Thanks a lot, Rainbowheart. I wish you a very very good time, and I hope I'll meet you again and can talk to you for a while before you leave again. But right now I've just got to go and try to find Fearlessheart.\"\n \"I hope you find him, Frolicheart,\" the fluffy candy-pink dragoness said with a smile. \"Good luck.\"\n \"Thanks,\" Frolicheart said, with a small smile.\nHe quickly left, while Rainbowheart, Proudheart and Feralheart looked after him. Proudheart softly shook her head, but she smiled again when she looked at Rainbowheart.\n \"Well, I guess we shouldn't let this little situation rrruin yourr parrrty,\" she said. \"C'mon, let's see if we can find something fun to do.\" She took Rainbowheart by a paw and looked at Feralheart. \"Wanna join us, Ferrralhearrt?\"\n \"Thank you Proudheart, but no,\" the vixen said with a small smile. \"You know how I feel about these crowds and all the noise and so. As a matter of fact, I think I'll be going home in a minute too. But thank you for the offer.\"\n \"Okay,\" Proudheart smiled. She turned to Rainbowheart again. \"Well, c'mon, let's see if we can make Playfulhearrrt drrop those balls on his head.\"\nThe fluffy candy-pink dragoness giggled a bit.\n \"Yes, that sounds like fun.\"\n\nThe two Care Bear Cousins started walking to the place where Playfulheart was still juggling all the balls. Suddenly Proudheart took Rainbowheart by a paw and held in her pace, pointing with a giggle. Behind the juggling monkey one of the bears was sneaking up, a lightgreen bear with a very cheeky smile on her face. Softly giggling to themselves, Proudheart and Rainbowheart looked at the light green bear sneaking up behind the juggling monkey. Very suddenly, she grabbed Playfulheart in his sides with both her paws.\n \"SURPRISE!!\"\n\nPlayfulheart almost jumped a foot, and all the balls he'd been juggling fell down around him and on top of his head. Surprise Bear, Proudheart and Rainbowheart doubled over in laughter, and when Playfulheart had regained himself he also started laughing heartedly. Not long after, he even started chasing Surprise Bear, who ran off giggling. The two of them ran over the clouds and between the tables and the playing bears and cousins, and eventually Playfulheart caught Surprise Bear. Holding the cheerily giggling bear tightly, he carried her over to one of the tables and dunked her in one of the larger cakes. Surprise Bear giggled loudly, scooped up two pawsful of the cake she'd landed in and threw them in Playfulheart's face. Of course, that led to a throwing of bit and pieces of cake back and forth between the light green bear and the brownish yellow monkey. Proudheart and Rainbowheart looked at it laughing for some time, but after a while Proudheart averted her face anyway, because funny as it was, she really still couldn't stand anyone getting dirty like that. So the two Care Bear Cousins walked on again, looking for another something fun to do. Well, the party was well-organized and very elaborate, so there was plenty of fun to be found.\n\nCarrying on until late at night, the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins just kept on partying. Because they carried on so long, even Bedtime Bear and Nocturnalheart Bear got their share of the fun, although of course they did eventually have to leave for their nightly missions on Earth. And those two bears leaving for their job more or less was the inoffical signal for all the others to end the party. Agreeing that tomorrow was a perfect day to start cleaning up the whole mess from the party, all bears and cousins looked up their cloud cottages for the night. The silver moon and all the twinkling star-buddies looked down upon them smiling as they bid each other good-bye and sweet dreams, and scattered. Rainbowheart retrieved her cloud backpack from the Hall of Hearts and followed Sugar Bear to the white Care Bear's cloud cottage.\n \"Say Sugar, can I ask you something?\" the fluffy dragoness said while walking.\n \"Sure, anything,\" Sugar smiled around a small yawn.\n \"Well, what I'd like to know is; are you just a white Care Bear, or are you more of a polar Care Bear?\" Rainbowheart asked with a smile. \"Because, see, I know Perfect and Polite quite well, and they are panda bears, so I was wondering, since you're all white...\"\n \"Oh, yes,\" Sugar smiled. \"Well, as a matter of fact, I [i]am[/i] a polar bear, sort of. Me and Cunningheart lived way up north in Alaska before we brought to our family. And Cunny's a true snowleopard, too.\"\n \"Ahh, yes, I see,\" Rainbowheart smiled. \"She did look very nice if I'm honest, with all those spots in her fur.\" The fluffy candy-pink dragoness looked up when they reached a cozy cloud cottage with a large porch on it. \"Is this where you live?\"\n \"Yes, like it?\" Sugar said with a smile.\n \"It's lovely,\" Rainbowheart said smiling, looking the cottage up and down. \"Thanks for letting me stay with you by the way, I'd forgotten to say that before.\"\n \"It's alright, I'm happy to let you stay over,\" Sugar smiled, around another small yawn. \"I mean, you're so cute and... oh!\" The white Care Bear suddenly realized what she had sleepily let slip, and she blushed a bit. \"I'm... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to...\"\n \"Hey, don't worry, it's okay,\" Rainbowheart said with a giggle. \"I think you're rather cute too, all white an'all.\"\n \"Oh... uh... thanks,\" Sugar said, a bit embarrassedly. She opened the door to her cottage. \"Well... won't you come in?\"\n \"Sure,\" the fluffy candy-pink dragoness smiled. She followed Sugar Bear into her cottage and looked around her while Sugar turned on the lights. \"Hmm, looks real nice, Sugar. Very homy an'all. Hey...\" She suddenly stepped over to a cabinet that held some pictures. \"You have a picture of Cunningheart here? Is there something between you two or something?\"\nNot picking up on the sudden personal level of the question, Sugar smiled while closing a window that was still standing wide open.\n \"Well, as I said, the two of us have lived way up north in Alaska before we were found and brought hereto. We've shared an igloo for years and years, and when you live in an igloo in the middle of a deserted ice field, it's kinda inevitable that something blooms between you.\"\n \"And is it still blooming?\" Rainbowheart asked with a soft giggle.\n \"No. Or well, not really,\" Sugar said. \"Yes, it's true that we still have a very special liking for each other. After all, there's been quite a thing between us. But Cunningheart's with Royalheart now, and they really really love each other. That is so beautiful, and so true a love, I ain't even gonna try getting in between that because of Cunny's and my history. And besides, there's a new thing blooming for me too. I'm really getting very close with Birthday, I think I love her.\"\n \"That's nice,\" Rainbowheart smiled.\n \"Yes, it is,\" Sugar said with a smile. \"Mind, we're still in the explorative phase, both of us, to see how we feel about each other, and others.\"\n \"Does that mean that the both of you also still go for... well, more intimate things with others?\" the fluffy candy-pink dragoness said with a soft giggle.\n \"Hmm, well, kinda,\" Sugar said.\n \"Ah,\" Rainbowheart said. She looked around her. \"Well, it's getting really late, I think it's time to go to bed. Where do I sleep, Sugar?\"\n \"Oh, yes,\" the white Care Bear said. \"Follow me, I have a spare room and I made that in order for you.\"\n\nLeading the way, Sugar brought the fluffy candy-pink dragoness up to the first floor of her cloud cottage, and she showed her the way to a room at the end of the upstairs landing. Looking around her, Rainbowheart put her cloud backpack on a chair that was in the room, and she tried the bed. Sugar bade her good night and sweet dreams, and left her to get to her own bedroom. As the all-white Care Bear got into her bed, for a moment she couldn't help herself thinking again of how cute Rainbowheart looked. She shivered pleasantly when she pulled the sheets over herself. Quite soon after, she'd fallen asleep, a smile decorating her face in her sleep. A couple of hours later, the darkness at the windows showing it still was in the middle of the night, Sugar woke up again at someone softly shaking her shoulder and repeating her name.\n \"Sugar? Hey Sugar? Sorry to wake you up. Sugar?\"\nYawning and rubbing her eyes with the backs of her paws, Sugar sat up in her bed a bit and looked around her somewhat drowsily. Rainbowheart was standing at her bedside.\n \"Mmh? Rainbowheart? What's the matter?\" she asked, in the middle of another yawn.\n \"I'm sorry, Sugar,\" Rainbowheart apologized. \"It's just that I can't really sleep; I'm rather cold.\"\nStopping to rub her eyes with her paws for a moment, Sugar looked up at the candy-pink dragoness with surprise.\n \"Cold? Here in Care a Lot?\"\nRainbowheart smiled a bit.\n \"Well, you see, in that valley where I live it's even much warmer, and I'm used to that. Therefore it feels rather chilly to me here, or at least at night as I now find.\"\n \"Oh, okay,\" Sugar said. \"Well, look in that closet in your room, there should be blankets in there. You can put an extra few on your bed I guess.\"\nRainbowheart smiled a bit apologetically.\n \"Well, actually I was hoping... see, back in my valley, I have something... Well, I can just as well tell you I guess, I have a big plush dog to snuggle up to. I kinda miss that too, so... I was hoping that... maybe I could join you?\"\nThe white Care Bear looked a little surprised again, but then smiled and held up her bedsheets.\n \"Sure, come on in.\"\n \"Thanks,\" Rainbowheart smiled, happily crawling into Sugar's bed.\nShe snuggled up a bit against the white Care Bear while Sugar pulled the sheets back over the both of them. While placing an arm over the fluffy candy-pink dragoness, Sugar also snuggled up a bit.\n \"Well, sleep tight, Rainbowheart,\" she smiled.\n \"Thank you, Sugar,\" Rainbowheart said again. \"You too.\"\n\nSoon after, both the fluffy candy-pink dragoness and the white Care Bear were asleep again, snuggled up against each other. They slept through a really very pleasant night like that together. The next morning found the two of them still in each other's arms. Sugar had her face pressed into the soft fur on Rainbowheart's chest, and the fluffy pink dragoness was holding the white bear in both her arms, her nose pressed into the fur on Sugar's shoulder. The white Care Bear was the first to slowly wake up, and as the sleep started leaving her body, the white bear drew a deep sigh when she felt a very nice, soft, fluffy, and kinda ticklish feeling on her most tender spot. Carefully, as not to disturb Rainbowheart who was still asleep, Sugar looked down her body. A soft giggle escaped her lips. The fluffy candy-pink dragoness had rested her right leg on top of Sugar's left leg, and she had curled her long, thick, sleek-furred tail between her legs, which made the tip of it rest on Sugar's white pussy. Pressing her face into the fluffy candy-pink dragoness' fur again, Sugar started slowly moving her paws, running them over Rainbowheart's shoulders and down her back. No one had seen Fearlessheart Fox ever since he had left for a far part of the Forest of Feelings to have some time by himself and re-find himself after all that had happened, and although the troubles had been really really serious, the new vulpine Care Bear Cousin was thought of very frequently and worried over by all other members of the Care Bear Family. Yet, even though some had searched for him, trying to find him, no one had so far managed to locate his whereabouts. Most probably only Feralheart Vixen might know where he was, since she knew every tree, every shrub, every blade of grass in the Forest of Feelings. But because the vixen was such a loner, almost no one ever saw her either, and therefore could not ask her if she maybe had seen Fearlessheart anywhere. Two cars in particular drew attention. One was a car that you could just not imagine the beige-orange puma would use to race with. And in fact, he didn't, either. The other car that immediately drew attention was the one Frolicheart was working on that specific morning. Even though the car had obviously come from a junkyard, it still made any passing bear or cousin hold in his or her pace to look at it. The dents and other damage, the rust, and the withered paint that showed the car had once been red notwithstanding, the car looked like a special beauty indeed. It had a streamline that was not found on any of the other cars Frolicheart possessed. It had an elegance, even despite the rust and damage, an elegance that showed the finest of craftsmanship had been put in this car when it had been constructed. It had a beauty that did not go by unnoticed, yet it had an appearance that under the sleek hood was a piece of machinery capable of making this car perform like no one would believe. And it had a severe grip on Frolicheart, for more than the auto-technical reasons mentioned.

It was a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, and it had been given to the beige-orange puma by Fearlessheart Fox, as a thank-you gift for all Frolicheart and Proudheart had done for him in the situation concerning Swiftheart. A thank-you gift as well as a departing gift, for Fearlessheart had given the directions of where to find the car on the day he left for the farthest reaches of the Forest of Feelings. However, in the short time the fox had inhabited a cloud cottage in the Forest of Feelings, Frolicheart had become very close friends with him, not only because also Fearlessheart had a passion for classic cars and had even raced cars in his time on Earth himself, but also because there was an almost unnatural match in their characters. Both of them had been separated from the group of cubs that had found their way to the Kingdom of Caring. Both of them had grown up in a completely other place, and both of them had had it very hard in their cubhood. Though indirectly, both of them had suffered from more or less the same things, and it were those things that had brought them together in a way. The fox and the puma knew the same pain, and they could understand each other in a way not even Trueheart and Nobleheart could understand them. It therefore was quite hard on Frolicheart that Fearlessheart had hidden himself so well that no one could find him. He had tried many times to locate the fox, and he was genuinely concerned about his well-being, but he understood and respected the reasons why Fearlessheart did not show himself, and he told himself oftentimes to just have patience and wait until Fearlessheart would find it the right time to return and take up his place in the Care Bear Family.      "Right," he said. "Before we stajt, let's see who are still absent. Hmmm, Fearlessheart is not here, which is logical. Feralheart is not here, which also is logical." His brow wrinkled when he noticed the empty chair next to Proudheart. "But twinkling rainbows, where's Fjolicheart?"
     "He said he'd be herrre as soon as he could," Proudheart said a bit apologetically.
     "Hm," Tenderheart said with a slight huff. "Alright, we'll give him ten minutes."

Since they had to wait, all Family members started talking with each other a bit, speculating on what important news it could be that Nobleheart and Trueheart had to tell them. Slowly, the ten minutes turned into twenty minutes, but... still no Frolicheart. When after another ten minutes a round half hour had elapsed, Tenderheart rose up a bit impatiently.
     "This is getting out of hand," he said. "I do understand Fjolicheart's feelings about that car he's gotten, but this is cjazy. I'm going to get him."

He paced out of the Hall of Heart before Proudheart could even rise up to say something. Again, with nothing else to do, the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins started talking to each other, this time also mixing in a little chatting about Frolicheart's behaviour of the past time. As little as another ten minutes later, everyone looked up at the sound of a Cloudsmobile stopping in front of the Hall of Hearts, and a moment later Tenderheart and Frolicheart entered the Hall. It was clear Tenderheart had literally dragged the puma from underneath the car. Frolicheart's sleek beige-orange fur was stained with oil and rust and whatnot, and his ears were pointing sideways guiltily while Tenderheart marched him into the Hall with a paw firmly on the puma's shoulder. There is however the fact that still, this Family is not complete yet."
     "That is correct," Trueheart took over, silencing the mumbling that had risen up from around the table. "Whenever one of you who was still missing had been found, he or she has been brought to our Kingdom of Caring to be a part of our wonderful Family. Some, however, have chosen not to come but to remain on that spot of the Earth where they grew up instead. Of course, neither Nobleheart nor I have thought about forcing them to come, and although it did sadden us somewhat that this was the choice of some, we respect that choice. It has turned out that staying in the place where they have grown up even was better for those members of our Family. But..! The bond with our Family of course is very strong, and the desire to be with the rest of us does sometime occur, and it is therefore with happiness that Nobleheart and I announce that in a few days from now, someone from our Family who is not living here with us is coming for a visit."
A hubbub rose up around the table, and Good Luck Bear jumped up, not able to restrain himself.
     "Perfect and Polite! Are they coming over?! Wow!"
Nobleheart smiled and Trueheart giggled a bit, and the yellow bear with the multi-colored specks all over her body and the multi-colored tail and flock of hair on her head raised a paw, silencing the hubbub again.
     "I am sorry to say, Good Luck, that it were not Perfect and Polite Panda whom I was referring to," she said.
This announcement from Trueheart Bear created an ever louder hubbub, as all bears and cousins now looked at each other in surprise and started wondering aloud what or whom it could be Trueheart was talking about.
     "Are there even more of us on Earth?" Cheer Bear asked.
     "Yes, Cheer," Nobleheart said, silencing the hubbub again as everyone now attentively turned to the purple horse to hear about this. "As you know, Perfect and Polite Panda live in a valley somewhere in the far East, and not very far away from there, in another valley somewhere in Japan, lives another cousin of yours, someone whom only very little if not none of you know under the name of Rainbowheart Dragon."

Again all bears and cousins looked at each other, surprise evident on all of their faces except Grams'. It was all too clear that the name did not ring a bell with any of the members of the Care Bear Family. When the hubbub had died out by itself, Nobleheart rose up again and looked around the table with a smile.
     "I shall tell all of you a little bit about Rainbowheart," he said. "The reason why she chose not to live with the rest of us in the Kingdom of Caring is similar to the reason why Perfect and Polite Panda do not live with us here. The valley in which Rainbowheart grew up has, in the same mysterious way as with Perfect and Polite, grown dependant of her presence there. It is the love and care of Rainbowheart that keeps this valley thriving and safe and pleasant to live in. Would she come to live with us in the Kingdom of Caring for good, her valley would wither like we have seen happening with the valley Perfect and Polite live in when we brought them here."
     "And besides that," Trueheart took over again, "Rainbowheart has built a family-like relationship with the inhabitants of her valley, which also is a very important reason why she cannot leave it behind. However, she has kept contact with us, and she has written us that since everything is calm and peaceful in her valley because of a beautiful summer, she would love to come over and spend some time in our Kingdom of Caring." Trueheart looked around the table with a smile. "And as I said, she will arrive in a few days from now."
Yet another hubbub was created when all bears and cousins started talking to each other, yet above it every now and then the voice of one of them could be heard, addressing either Trueheart or Nobleheart.
     "What does she look like?" Champ Bear asked.
     "Yeah, is she, li-i-ike, fluffy like u-u-us?" Gentleheart Lamb asked. "I mean, a dra-a-agon usually has sca-a-ales, right?"
     "Usually, yes," Nobleheart said with a smile. "But Rainbowheart is one of the very few rare dragons who does have a form of fur. If I were to describe her, she does more or less resemble a Retriever-dog in appearance, bodily and facial, although her body is more lean and elongated, and of course she has a pair of wings. Her fur is pink in color, of a shade somewhere in between your fur, Cheer, and Hugs' fur, though more intense. A bit candy-pink, actually."
     "Does she also have a symbol like the rest of us?" Funshine asked.
     "So she does, Funshine," Trueheart smiled. "Her symbol is a heart with slanted stripes in the colors of a rainbow. It is slightly similar to the balloons that make up Daydream Bear's symbol."
The orangy golden Care Bear with the symbol of a pair of rainbow-striped, heart-shaped balloons looked up when all eyes suddenly turned towards her.
     "Hm?" she said absently, as she was probably having visions of a beautiful Japanese valley. "What's the matter? What are you all looking at me for?"
With some smiles and chuckles all bears and cousins turned to each other and Trueheart and Nobleheart again. Suddenly, Share Bear let out a rather loud giggle.
     "Heavens, I just thought of something! She doesn't breathe fire I hope? Because that doesn't exactly sound like something I'd like to have shared with me."
Trueheart giggled, and Nobleheart laughed.
     "I can assure you, Share, that Rainbowheart does not breathe fire!" the purple horse said merrily. "In fact, that is a trait which does not occur in the entire line of furred dragons from which Rainbowheart is descended." He looked around him, seeing all bears and cousins being excited over this news, yet also seeing Bedtime was snoozing, Brightheart was secretly jotting down formulas for an invention he was working on under the table, Daydream was daydreaming, and Frolicheart was obviously itching to get back to the work on his Ferrari. "Well, we shall now give you the time to process this all for yourselves, so I call this meeting now closed. When we receive word from Rainbowheart on her exact date of arrival here, we shall let you know, and of course there shall be a welcoming party."

There was some cheering, the loudest cheer obviously coming from Birthday Bear, and even Secret Bear was so excited by the news that the cheer she let out actually produced sound. In twoes and threes the bears and cousins filed out of the Hall of Hearts, excitedly talking to each other. Nobleheart, Trueheart and Grams Bear looked after all the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins leaving with a smile. Birthday Bear and Surprise Bear left with their heads bent close to each other's, obviously already planning a few things for the party. Heaven Bear and Sugar Bear also were cheerfully chatting to each other about the news.
     "Boy, this sure is exciting, isn't it?" Sugar said.
     "Yes, it sure is," Heaven said. "It was a surprise too, I've never heard about a cousin named Rainbowheart. And to think I've lived in a valley in the East too!"
     "Yeah," Sugar nodded. She smiled strangely. "Hmmm, and a furry dragon! That sounds so cute!"
     "I wonder if she's larger than all of us or just as large as the rest of us... hm, well, the rest of you," Heaven added with a giggle.

Sugar also giggled; Heaven was one of the smallest Care Bears in the Kingdom of Caring, only Hugs and Tugs were smaller than the sky blue bear. Both bears started giggling even harder when they had to step aside for a bright white Chevrolet Impala convertible speedily making its way down the rainbow path. Frolicheart was very obviously itching to get back to work on his Ferrari. The two Care Bear looked after the quickly receding Impala with a giggle, then continued on their walk.
     "So, to come back to what I just said," Heaven giggled. "Do you think this Rainbowheart-girl will be much larger than us, or just as big?"
     "I dunno, I'm guessing just as big," Sugar said. "I mean, we're all kinda the same height, aren't we? Even Frolicheart, who's a puma after all, is kinda short for a puma, although he's the perfect size for a Care Bear Cousin. And even Trueheart, Nobleheart and Grams are not that very much bigger than the rest of us, so I'm just guessing this Rainbowheart will be just as big as we are too." Her eyes got that dreamy look again. "Hmm, and in candy-pink fur..." She quickly snapped out of her reverie and looked back at Heaven Bear with a soft giggle. "I can't wait to meet her, frankly."
     "No, I'm really curious about her too," Heaven nodded.

This was about the general thing that all other Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins were also talking about as they got to their homes. The next days saw a high activity in the Kingdom of Caring again. Of course, the activity in the Forest of Feelings was more or less the same as it had been for the past weeks; Frolicheart working on his Ferrari like he was possessed by it. But in Care a Lot, the Care Bears were busy preparing for the party to welcome their cousin Rainbowheart Dragon. The rainbows were polished until they glittered in the sunlight. All cloud cottages were polished until they were so brightly white it almost hurt your eyes. Garlands of colorful hearts and stars were hung all through Care a Lot from one rainbow-striped pole to another. Birthday Bear and Surprise Bear provided a stunning amount of balloons, and Birthday of course also provided a batch of cakes and cookies that could feed the entire population on Earth, while Surprise came up with an amount of confetti that could have caused a blizzard on Earth. Harmony Bear and Opposite Bear were practising songs with some of the others as they were thinking of putting on a show, and Hugs and Tugs had, with Grams' help, made a huge banner that read "Welcome to Care a Lot, cousin Rainbowheart". Another meeting had been called in the Hall of Hearts by Trueheart and Nobleheart when they had received a letter from Rainbowheart that told them she would be arriving in two days, and would be staying for a week. This increased the activity even more, as everyone was doing their best to make Care a Lot as pretty and inviting as possible. Even all the Care Bear Cousins, after having done the same to the Forest of Feelings, helped the Care Bears to decorate Care a Lot. Well, all except Frolicheart, who honestly didn't help because he didn't want to, but simply because he was too involved in restoring the Ferrari to think about anything else. And he was forgiven for it, because everyone knew he just couldn't help himself. The only little problem that had arisen, namely the question of where Rainbowheart should be staying for the week she'd be in Care a Lot, had been eagerly solved by Sugar Bear, who offered to let the dragoness cousin stay with her in her cloud cottage. So there was really nothing standing in the way of a very happy and cheerful reunion of the Care Bear Family with one of their far-away relatives.

After two days, everyone was about sizzling with excitement. The entire Family, Frolicheart and even Feralheart Vixen included, was ready and waiting in Care a Lot. They were all standing in one huge group at the entrance of Care a Lot, under the big banner the two younger bears had made, craning their necks while looking at the east horizon. Rainbowheart should be arriving any minute now. The excited anticipation was so big that there was a shout of "there she is!" each time a bird or a star-buddy flew by in the bears' and cousins' field of vision. Of course, "she" wasn't it each time, and after a little while the birds and star-buddies made sure that they wouldn't float through the bit of sky that the Care Bear Family was intently watching, because the shouts scared them a bit. Very suddenly though, all bears and cousins jumped around when a merry voice sounded from somewhere behind them.
     "Hey, what are you all looking at?"

Jumping around, all members of the Care Bear Family were staring at a fluffy candy-pink dragoness of about their own size, looking at all of them with a friendly smile. On her white tummy was a large heart, slanted in five stripes of five different colors, like a rainbow. The dragoness was just folding her downy wings against her back after having taken off a cloud backpack.
     "Rainbowheart!" Nobleheart said, almost shouting, and laughing at the same time. "We were looking out for you! We thought you'd be coming from the east!"
     "Basically, you're right," the fluffy dragoness said with a giggle. "But I had to change course a bit not too far away from here due to the wind. It was safer to come in from the north-west."
     "Well, either one way or the other, you're here now," Trueheart smiled. She stepped up to the candy-pink dragoness and hugged her. "Welcome in our Kingdom of Caring, Rainbowheart."
     "We've prepared a party for you!" Birthday Bear cheered, not able to restrain herself for any longer and prompting the party into action.
     "That's so sweet, thank you so much," Rainbowheart smiled. "I appreciate that very much."

With the signal given, the party broke loose in all its festive cheerfulness. Leaving her cloud backpack in the Hall of Hearts for the time being, Rainbowheart was led through Care a Lot and introduced to each and every Care Bear and Care Bear Cousin. Some of them she still remembered, but for most of them, it was a novelty on both sides. Especially with the newest bears and cousins, the ones that had only been reunited with the Family after having been found back on Earth. Rainbowheart made all of their acquaintance cheerily, and she started giggling when Frolicheart reached out a paw to shake hers, suddenly looked at a dirty black stain on his paw and hurriedly pulled back to wipe his paw clean while blushing.
     "Sorry about that."
     "My, and I thought cats were such cleanly animals," Rainbowheart said with a giggle. "What in star's name have you been doing?"
     "I'm working on a car I got from a friend," Frolicheart said. "Sorry again, I thought I'd gotten everything off." He looked at his paw, seeing that he by now had managed to indeed wipe the stain away into the fur on his flank, so he reached out to Rainbowheart again. "Well, anyway, pleased to meet you."
     "Likewise, Frolicheart," Rainbowheart said with another giggle. "And you gotta tell me about that car sometimes. It sounds interesting."
     "Whoa, watch out what you wish forrr!" Proudheart said teasingly. "Afterrr all, you wrrote us you'd only be staying a week."
Rainbowheart looked a little surprised.
     "Yeah, so..?"
     "Well, it's just, as soon as my dearr Frrolichearrrt gets starrrted on his carrrs, he'll be talking to you forrr a month, non-stop," Proudheart giggled.
Both feline Care Bear Cousins laughed heartedly, as did all the others that had been close by enough to hear it, and Rainbowheart also giggled cheerily.
     "Well, maybe I should extend my stay a bit then, because it does sound interesting," she said. "I'll get back to you on that, Frolicheart."
     "Sure, anytime," Frolicheart grinned.

With another giggle, the candy-pink dragoness said goodbye to the two felines for now and continued being introduced to all the others. After some time she had been introduced and had gotten acquainted with everyone except for Feralheart, since the vixen really didn't feel comfortable in such a crowd and had found herself a shady spot. Nevertheless she had stayed in Care a Lot, not wanting to seem impolite, and she actually was enjoying a slice of cake. Everywhere around, the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins were enjoying the festivities of the party they had arranged for Rainbowheart's arrival. The fluffy dragoness wandered from one game to another, having a wonderful time with all the funny things that were going on. The air was filled with happy laughter. Here Funshine, Swiftheart, Cheer, Champ, Treatheart and Easy were playing leap-frog, there Playfulheart Monkey was juggling seventeen colorful balls at once, everywhere fun was had. Rainbowheart, noticing a very gigglish Hugs and Tugs bending over something near a cloud bank, walked over to the two younger Care Bears to see what they were having so much fun with. The fluffy candy-pink dragoness started giggling herself as well when she saw Hugs and Tugs were bending over a sleeping Bedtime Bear and were sculpting clouds all over him, making the blue bear look like some kind of hilarious snowman. For some reason, Sugar Bear kept hanging close around Rainbowheart, sort of as if the white Care Bear had taken it upon herself to lead the fluffy dragoness around the entire party.

As the day advanced, the fun and games gradually got sillier, since all Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins got slowly intoxicated by the cheerful fun like by good wine. Even Feralheart was now seen standing at a long table filled with large glass bowls of fruit punch and cakes and all, having a drink and talking to Frolicheart and Proudheart. Rainbowheart, who also stepped over to that table to have a drink, noticed the vixen standing there.
     "Hey, hello there," she said. "I don't think we've been introduced yet, have we?"
Proudheart and Frolicheart looked up, and Feralheart turned around. As she did, Rainbowheart wrinkled her brow in surprise when she saw the front side of the vixen.
     "Hey," she said slightly surprised. "But you're not the fox I saw when I flew in. That one I saw had brown arms and legs and a white tummy, not yellow arms and legs and a yellow tummy like you have. Are there two foxes around this place?" Feralheart nodded silently, and Rainbowheart looked around her. "Really? And yet you're the only one I've seen at this party. Where's that other fox I saw then?"
Frolicheart immediately was full of attention, and he took Rainbowheart by a paw.
     "Did you see our other fox cousin?" he inquired. "Where? Can you tell me where you saw him?"
     "Well..." Rainbowheart was a little surprised again at the puma's urgent tone of voice. "Let me think. I came in... from the north-west, and..." She ran a paw over her muzzle, thinking. "I noticed the landscape being quite desolate; grey and gloomy if you know what I mean, and it was rather chilly there too. I saw a fox wandering around there somewhere."
     "Oh my stars," Frolicheart sighed, letting go of Rainbowheart's paw to push his fingers into his eyes.
Rainbowheart looked from Proudheart to Frolicheart to Feralheart.
     "Say, what's going on?" she asked.
     "That otherrr fox you saw if Frrolichearrrt's best frriend," Proudheart explained softly. "And it's not going all too well with him I'm afrraid. He's been gone forr weeks alrready, not showing himself. We'rre all verrry worrried about him."
Frolicheart put his paws on Proudheart's shoulders.
     "Pussycat, I'm going to search for him. I've gotta try and find him." He turned to Rainbowheart. "I'm sorry, I really don't want to seem impolite by leaving your party or anything, but I've just got to try and find my friend. He's gone through such an awful time, and I'm worried sick about him."
     "I understand," Rainbowheart said. "I don't mind, you go on ahead and look for your friend. As I said, I saw him wandering around in an open, quite gloomy landscape. It's some way away from a rather large forest, I saw that next when I flew in here."
     "The Forest of Feelings, we live there," Frolicheart nodded. "Thanks a lot, Rainbowheart. I wish you a very very good time, and I hope I'll meet you again and can talk to you for a while before you leave again. But right now I've just got to go and try to find Fearlessheart."
     "I hope you find him, Frolicheart," the fluffy candy-pink dragoness said with a smile. "Good luck."
     "Thanks," Frolicheart said, with a small smile.
He quickly left, while Rainbowheart, Proudheart and Feralheart looked after him. Proudheart softly shook her head, but she smiled again when she looked at Rainbowheart.
     "Well, I guess we shouldn't let this little situation rrruin yourr parrrty," she said. "C'mon, let's see if we can find something fun to do." She took Rainbowheart by a paw and looked at Feralheart. "Wanna join us, Ferrralhearrt?"
     "Thank you Proudheart, but no," the vixen said with a small smile. "You know how I feel about these crowds and all the noise and so. As a matter of fact, I think I'll be going home in a minute too. But thank you for the offer."
     "Okay," Proudheart smiled. She turned to Rainbowheart again. "Well, c'mon, let's see if we can make Playfulhearrrt drrop those balls on his head."
The fluffy candy-pink dragoness giggled a bit.
     "Yes, that sounds like fun."

The two Care Bear Cousins started walking to the place where Playfulheart was still juggling all the balls. Suddenly Proudheart took Rainbowheart by a paw and held in her pace, pointing with a giggle. Behind the juggling monkey one of the bears was sneaking up, a lightgreen bear with a very cheeky smile on her face. Softly giggling to themselves, Proudheart and Rainbowheart looked at the light green bear sneaking up behind the juggling monkey. Very suddenly, she grabbed Playfulheart in his sides with both her paws.
     "SURPRISE!!"

Playfulheart almost jumped a foot, and all the balls he'd been juggling fell down around him and on top of his head. Surprise Bear, Proudheart and Rainbowheart doubled over in laughter, and when Playfulheart had regained himself he also started laughing heartedly. Not long after, he even started chasing Surprise Bear, who ran off giggling. The two of them ran over the clouds and between the tables and the playing bears and cousins, and eventually Playfulheart caught Surprise Bear. Holding the cheerily giggling bear tightly, he carried her over to one of the tables and dunked her in one of the larger cakes. Surprise Bear giggled loudly, scooped up two pawsful of the cake she'd landed in and threw them in Playfulheart's face. Of course, that led to a throwing of bit and pieces of cake back and forth between the light green bear and the brownish yellow monkey. Proudheart and Rainbowheart looked at it laughing for some time, but after a while Proudheart averted her face anyway, because funny as it was, she really still couldn't stand anyone getting dirty like that. So the two Care Bear Cousins walked on again, looking for another something fun to do. Well, the party was well-organized and very elaborate, so there was plenty of fun to be found.

Carrying on until late at night, the Care Bears and Care Bear Cousins just kept on partying. Because they carried on so long, even Bedtime Bear and Nocturnalheart Bear got their share of the fun, although of course they did eventually have to leave for their nightly missions on Earth. And those two bears leaving for their job more or less was the inoffical signal for all the others to end the party. Agreeing that tomorrow was a perfect day to start cleaning up the whole mess from the party, all bears and cousins looked up their cloud cottages for the night. The silver moon and all the twinkling star-buddies looked down upon them smiling as they bid each other good-bye and sweet dreams, and scattered. Rainbowheart retrieved her cloud backpack from the Hall of Hearts and followed Sugar Bear to the white Care Bear's cloud cottage.
     "Say Sugar, can I ask you something?" the fluffy dragoness said while walking.
     "Sure, anything," Sugar smiled around a small yawn.
     "Well, what I'd like to know is; are you just a white Care Bear, or are you more of a polar Care Bear?" Rainbowheart asked with a smile. "Because, see, I know Perfect and Polite quite well, and they are panda bears, so I was wondering, since you're all white..."
     "Oh, yes," Sugar smiled. "Well, as a matter of fact, I am a polar bear, sort of. Me and Cunningheart lived way up north in Alaska before we brought to our family. And Cunny's a true snowleopard, too."
     "Ahh, yes, I see," Rainbowheart smiled. "She did look very nice if I'm honest, with all those spots in her fur." The fluffy candy-pink dragoness looked up when they reached a cozy cloud cottage with a large porch on it. "Is this where you live?"
     "Yes, like it?" Sugar said with a smile.
     "It's lovely," Rainbowheart said smiling, looking the cottage up and down. "Thanks for letting me stay with you by the way, I'd forgotten to say that before."
     "It's alright, I'm happy to let you stay over," Sugar smiled, around another small yawn. "I mean, you're so cute and... oh!" The white Care Bear suddenly realized what she had sleepily let slip, and she blushed a bit. "I'm... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."
     "Hey, don't worry, it's okay," Rainbowheart said with a giggle. "I think you're rather cute too, all white an'all."
     "Oh... uh... thanks," Sugar said, a bit embarrassedly. She opened the door to her cottage. "Well... won't you come in?"
     "Sure," the fluffy candy-pink dragoness smiled. She followed Sugar Bear into her cottage and looked around her while Sugar turned on the lights. "Hmm, looks real nice, Sugar. Very homy an'all. Hey..." She suddenly stepped over to a cabinet that held some pictures. "You have a picture of Cunningheart here? Is there something between you two or something?"
Not picking up on the sudden personal level of the question, Sugar smiled while closing a window that was still standing wide open.
     "Well, as I said, the two of us have lived way up north in Alaska before we were found and brought hereto. We've shared an igloo for years and years, and when you live in an igloo in the middle of a deserted ice field, it's kinda inevitable that something blooms between you."
     "And is it still blooming?" Rainbowheart asked with a soft giggle.
     "No. Or well, not really," Sugar said. "Yes, it's true that we still have a very special liking for each other. After all, there's been quite a thing between us. But Cunningheart's with Royalheart now, and they really really love each other. That is so beautiful, and so true a love, I ain't even gonna try getting in between that because of Cunny's and my history. And besides, there's a new thing blooming for me too. I'm really getting very close with Birthday, I think I love her."
     "That's nice," Rainbowheart smiled.
     "Yes, it is," Sugar said with a smile. "Mind, we're still in the explorative phase, both of us, to see how we feel about each other, and others."
     "Does that mean that the both of you also still go for... well, more intimate things with others?" the fluffy candy-pink dragoness said with a soft giggle.
     "Hmm, well, kinda," Sugar said.
     "Ah," Rainbowheart said. She looked around her. "Well, it's getting really late, I think it's time to go to bed. Where do I sleep, Sugar?"
     "Oh, yes," the white Care Bear said. "Follow me, I have a spare room and I made that in order for you."

Leading the way, Sugar brought the fluffy candy-pink dragoness up to the first floor of her cloud cottage, and she showed her the way to a room at the end of the upstairs landing. Looking around her, Rainbowheart put her cloud backpack on a chair that was in the room, and she tried the bed. Sugar bade her good night and sweet dreams, and left her to get to her own bedroom. As the all-white Care Bear got into her bed, for a moment she couldn't help herself thinking again of how cute Rainbowheart looked. She shivered pleasantly when she pulled the sheets over herself. Quite soon after, she'd fallen asleep, a smile decorating her face in her sleep. A couple of hours later, the darkness at the windows showing it still was in the middle of the night, Sugar woke up again at someone softly shaking her shoulder and repeating her name.
     "Sugar? Hey Sugar? Sorry to wake you up. Sugar?"
Yawning and rubbing her eyes with the backs of her paws, Sugar sat up in her bed a bit and looked around her somewhat drowsily. Rainbowheart was standing at her bedside.
     "Mmh? Rainbowheart? What's the matter?" she asked, in the middle of another yawn.
     "I'm sorry, Sugar," Rainbowheart apologized. "It's just that I can't really sleep; I'm rather cold."
Stopping to rub her eyes with her paws for a moment, Sugar looked up at the candy-pink dragoness with surprise.
     "Cold? Here in Care a Lot?"
Rainbowheart smiled a bit.
     "Well, you see, in that valley where I live it's even much warmer, and I'm used to that. Therefore it feels rather chilly to me here, or at least at night as I now find."
     "Oh, okay," Sugar said. "Well, look in that closet in your room, there should be blankets in there. You can put an extra few on your bed I guess."
Rainbowheart smiled a bit apologetically.
     "Well, actually I was hoping... see, back in my valley, I have something... Well, I can just as well tell you I guess, I have a big plush dog to snuggle up to. I kinda miss that too, so... I was hoping that... maybe I could join you?"
The white Care Bear looked a little surprised again, but then smiled and held up her bedsheets.
     "Sure, come on in."
     "Thanks," Rainbowheart smiled, happily crawling into Sugar's bed.
She snuggled up a bit against the white Care Bear while Sugar pulled the sheets back over the both of them. While placing an arm over the fluffy candy-pink dragoness, Sugar also snuggled up a bit.
