This was a test drawing that got out of hand... turns out that aside from some minor changes to keystrokes and the interface, it's really not all that different from the original. It does feel faster, smoother, more memory efficient. There are new features, but they feel unfamiliar next to those in other paint programs. For instance, you can create shapes now, yay! But they're filled shapes by default, and I haven't figured out how to draw an empty box for text. It's easy elsewhere, but not so much here in SAI 2. Maybe it's not possible at all!\n\nI'll keep plugging away at it. It's not like Krita or Clip Studio, where the interface is immediately alien and repellant. Luckily, it's not like The Gimp either, which in that classic Linux tradition is counterintuitive, was stuck together haphazardly with duct tape and bubble gum, and struggles to move its ponderous bulk like some sort of constipated brontosaurus.",
