One evening the curiosity was too great, Freddy had to know what it felt like to wear. He walked to the nearest Pets at Home store and with his pocket money sheepishly bought the cotton blue dog collar he had been eyeing up the last few month.
With the collar tucked away in his coat pocket gently closing the front door not to disturb his parents watching TV in the lounge. Freddy took the first step of the stairs, the loose board creaking. Dad uttered "That you son?" Freddy paused and answered. "yes Dad just me. . I'm going to bed" His dad thinking none the wiser answering back "good night then son, sweet dreams" Freddy's heart raced worrying the collar would be discovered. He hurried up to his room closed the door sitting with his back to it.
Pulling the collar from his coat pocket he could smell the newness of the dyed cotton and rubbery foam padding.
Freddy put the collar round his neck surprised it even fit at all but with three punch hole left he comfortably wore his new pride and joy. getting up and proudly strutting to the mirror he lifted his neck, " not bad at all he spoke, i don't know what all the f. .fuss" Freddy paused a shiver run up his spine as he notice some white hair appearing around his nose. "whats grr" Freddy fell to all fours a wash with a tingle. one by one his limbs started to grow fur, his nose extending and broadening to form a muzzle. His head now slumped he could feel something at the base of his spin trying to get out. *pop* a PomPom tail appears. Tiered Freddy flomps to the floor.
Some time later Freddy awakens to feel no pain, no tingling like he had before. With heavy breathing he looks into the mirror. I'm . . I'm a Panda.
