Here we have a pretty rare piece from me, I hardly ever draw cats, I don't have anything against cats, but I just don't really draw them for some reason. I seem to be more attracted to the canine and rodent stuff :P
But I do really enjoy this cat character named Thunder, who is from the movie 'Thunder and the House of Magic'.
The bird wrote a story for this too, which was awesome, anytime a story is added to a pic it just makes it so much sexier! So props to her for doing a story for this :)

"Well I dunno, I think our act's pretty full up already."

The 'audition' wasn't going very well for Joey Canem, aspiring performer and current toy chihuahua. His attempt to join the cat-mouse-rabbit trio of The House of Magic was falling flat at every turn. It wasn't that he lacked talent, resolve or determination; but that the rest of the trio had those in spades as well, having just come off of saving their home from destruction at the hands of a mad real estate agent. As far as they were concerned there wasn't really anything outstanding about the mutt that would warrant his inclusion.
"Well I dunno, it's up to you Jack, what do you think?"
Jack, a large, white and rather old rabbit, looked over the canine with a skeptical eye. The lapine buck was at least twice his size, the pup being small even by the standards of his breed. The cat stood taller and it was hard not to feel intimidated standing before the comparatively large male. Finally the bunny gave a dismissive snort.
"I say give him an audition, same as I did with you. If you think he's a keeper then fine, he can join the act."
"Wait, you don't wanna audition him?"
"Nah, I'm gettin' too old for that sort of thing every day of the week. You handle it, don't tell me ya don't know what t' look for."
"Wait... hang on... Thunder... Jack... what audition? When did you audition? What happened?"
It seemed that the smallest of the three, a white mouse named Maggie, hadn't had to audition for her part, and hadn't been aware that the ginger cat had done so. Joey vaguely remembered that there had been some... trouble when the duo turned into a trio earlier that year, but he hadn't really paid it much attention as it wasn't his concern. No doubt the rodent had got an easy ride.
"Aah don't worry about it, it was just a little fun, to see if th' new guy could cut it."
"He saved our home, and me! How does that not 'cut it'?"
"Yah just don't understand showbusiness Mags. C'mon, let's go in, it's getting cold out."
"But-"
"He'll be along shortly, and he can tell us how the puppy performed."
The rabbit stomped off, even managing to walk in a curmudgeony manner, the much smaller white mouse following uncertainly behind him, with many backwards glances at the cat and dog who remained. Seconds later and the pair were alone in the makeshift stage that served as backdrop and prop store for the mobile magic show the canine was hoping to join. It was the size of a small room, surrounded on three sides by thin plasterboard walls and at the front by a heavy blue curtain. In theory it was quite open, a strong gust of wind could knock the whole thing down (and had more than once.) But with the outside light dimmed by the enclosed space it somehow felt cut off from the rest of the world, like a home in itself, where magic was born. The chihuahua felt his tail tuck between his legs as he stood there, slightly unnerved by the whole thing. Thunder the cat however seemed his usual cheerful and optimistic self as he bounced to his feet.
"Alright then, let's begin."
"Okay... okay cool. Begin. Right. So uh... whaddya want me to do? I can do that weird trick with the hat... or do you wanna see me balance a ball on my nose? I could- WHOAH! Hey uh..."
The canine stepped back in shock and surprise when he turned and noticed something about his friend. The cat was suddenly completely erect, his arousal unmissable against his toasty orange fur. Another thing that Joey's life had been rich in was television, and he was well aware of the... reputation Hollywood, and in particular it's casting couch, had garnered. "Yup, most important part of the audition. 'If you really want to join the act then you've got to show exactly how committed you are.' That's what Jack says anyway, and he should know, he's been here since day one."
This gave the canine pause. He was well aware that the large white bunny was, in a way, in charge of the troupe (Or at least its animal members.) and that he was a formidable rabbit indeed. He was larger than Thunder and almost twice the size of the chihuahua himself (though that at least wasn't too hard.) and his apparent age easily masked his athletic ability and powerful build. He could certainly imagine the buck demanding an 'audition' and was glad that he didn't have to face the rabbit himself. If the cat had... done whatever it was he'd needed to, then that spoke volumes both about his determination and how things were run in this outfit.
"Jack... so you... auditioned... for the bunny?"
"We had some trouble before, but I think that really helped settle everything and help us work together as part of a team."

Joey knew he was stalling; hoping that if he could just hold things off for another minute or so then the situation would somehow resolve itself. (It was either that or bark madly, and he was pretty sure Option B wasn't any good either.) He was experiencing low grade panic, not knowing what was expected of him (besides the obvious) or what he should do. Fortunately (or not) Thunder preempted this by stepping up to him with a bright smile on his face.
"Alright, so let's start."
