Timothy and Nicholas made their way over to the patio door. Both boys' Pull-Ups had swollen up after their accidents and they sagged underneath their shorts, giving them a duck-like waddle. "Is... is she nice?" squeaked Timothy anxiously "Yeah, she changed me when I wet my trainers before" said Nicholas. "Okay" replied Timothy, uttering a small sigh of relief as he and the wolf pup walked inside. "Hi boys" said the vixen. "We kinda... um" struggled Timothy. "Shhhh, it's okay" said the vixen, kneeling down next to them and checking the fronts of their Pull-Ups. "Awww, come on, let's get you outta those" she said, scooping them both up and taking them into the bathroom. Soon, Timothy and Nicholas had their Pull-Ups changed and they went back outside to play in the sandbox. "I kinda want to go swimming" said Nicholas, "It's such a nice day out" "Swimming? What's that?" asked Timothy. "You don't know what swimming is?" asked Joseph, "It's awesome! You get to go in a big bathtub and play with toys and stuff!" "Really? That sounds nice" said Timothy. Just then, the coyote Nicholas had been talking about walked over to them. "There's a pool here. I could open it up for you if you'd like" he said, with a small grin. "Really?" asked Timothy, "Can you really do that?" "Uh-huh!" said the coyote. So Timothy, Nicholas and Joseph all went over to the pool with the coyote. It was behind a big wooden gate, and it had railings all around it. "They keep the key under this mat. They think we won't find it" chuckled the coyote, as he took the key and unlocked the gate with it. The coyote walked in, but Timothy, Nicholas and Joseph dithered on the side of the gate - all of them weren't too sure this was a good idea. "Come on, or don't you wanna go swimmin'?" asked the coyote. Just then, Timothy heard a girl crying out. "My pony-ball!" Timothy saw a big purple ball with a pony on it bounce across the ground and into the pool. A little panther came around the corner, her eyes full of tears as she saw where the ball had gone. "Oh no!" she cried, starting to cry. Timothy approached her and put his paw on her shoulder. "Don't cry. I'll get it" decided Timothy, giving her a little smile as he walked over to the water's edge. Timothy dithered on the side of the pool, watching as the big purple ball floated around - the breeze gently propelling it through the water. Suddenly Timothy's feet slipped on the edge and he fell into the water! He waited for his feet to touch the bottom, but they didn't - the water was too deep! He kicked his legs to try and stay afloat, but he felt his Pull-Up soaking up the water underneath his shorts, it was pulling him down! "Help!" squeaked Timothy, struggling to keep his head above the water. "Timothy!" cried Nicholas, reaching over the pool edge and outstretching his paw to the struggling raccoon. "Take my paw!" Timothy struggled to reach out for the wolf's paw. His training pants had soaked up so much water that it was like a brick tied to his waist. Timothy grabbed onto Nicholas' paw, holding onto it. The raccoon held on so hard though, that Nicholas fell in too! "Oh no! Help!" shouted Nicholas, as he felt his Pull-Up soaking up the water too and start to drag him down. "What are you doing?!" Joseph and the little panther looked around as they heard the voice, and running towards them was the vixen with two other grownups - a husky and a badger. Timothy coughed and spluttered as he lay on the ground by the poolside. His Pull-Up felt really heavy and squishy as he turned over to look at Nicholas. "Are you alright?" asked the wolf. "I... I think so" said Timothy, though he was shivering with shock. Nicholas held Timothy's paw. "It's alright, we're okay" Timothy then turned to face the other way. The vixen was talking to Joseph. Timothy listened... "Who let you in?" asked the vixen. "The coyote. He... he um..." struggled Joseph. "He used the key to open the gate" "Oh he did, did he?" The husky smiled at Timothy and gently pulled his shorts off, revealing his swollen Pull-Ups. "Oh no! My poor trainers" squeaked Timothy sadly. "You're lucky, those could have pulled you right under the way they sucked up the water" said the husky. "Come on, let's get you into a fresh pair of those cool-looking training pants" The husky helped Timothy to his feet and picked him up, patting the seat of his swollen Pull-Ups and giving him a hug. "Nicholas... what about Nicholas?" squeaked Timothy. "He's coming too. You both need new training pants now" "Um... what about my pony ball?" squeaked the little black panther, sadly. "We'll get it in a moment, these two need some care first" said the badger, smiling as he picked Nicholas up and carried him inside. Soon, Nicholas and Timothy were in their new training pants. Their shorts and shirts were wet though, so they were just wearing their Pull-Ups. Timothy blushed as Nicholas glanced at the picture of Lightning McQueen on the front of his trainers. "Cool trainers. I wish I had some like those" said Nicholas. "My mom left a box here... you could wear one the next time you need a change" offered Timothy. "Thanks... and you could wear one of my trainers!" agreed Nicholas. "What do your Pull-Ups do when you... have an accident?" asked Timothy. "My stars fade... what do yours do?" "The number down here fades" said Timothy, "But I can't count yet so I don't know what they mean" "I can't count yet either, well not any more than four" said Nicholas. "I've put your clothes on the line to dry, they shouldn't be too long. You don't mind just going in your Pull-Ups do you, boys? We don't have any other clothes you could wear" said the vixen. "Okay" said Nicholas and Timothy together. "What about the coyote? Is he in trouble?" asked Nicholas. "Yep, he's going home. You won't need to worry about him picking on you" "Let's go back in the sandbox, we can build more sandcastles!" said Timothy "Okay! agreed Nicholas. So the two boys went to the sandbox together, their exposed Pull-Ups crinkling as they toddled along.
