Sure there are things I'd change now, like Elly's hand looks a bit non-committal and I don't care for sheaths any more, but regardless, this was definitely one of my best.\n\nDone for Love's Secret Domain, a Sonic yaoi Yahoo!Group from forever ago. Elly and Tails never really worked that well as a couple, in retrospect, but hells are they [i]cute[/i].\n\nTails is not supposed to be shota/cub in this pic, though it gets dinged a lot for that so I guess I did a shitty job conveying that? :\\ To me there is a clean line between small/cute and child, and I never ever thought of Tails as a child (except in those western versions like SatAM and the early comics, where they deliberately made him younger and dumber). Ambiguously teenaged boy genius Tails has always been the \"real\" guy in my mind. YMMV!\n\nElias is no doubt my favourite character from Archie's Sonic series (this just in: Exiled Princes give Fox the horn), though his potential was tragically cut short by a weird forced no-he's-married-now-because-reasons plot. I added the ponytail myself when I started drawing him, for no reason other than I liked it, and his hair seemed to vary anyway depending on which official artist was drawing him. Occasionally I see other artists drawing him with it too, and I'd like to imagine that's my fault (but it's probably just a coincidence ^_^; ).",
