"description": "William was so excited for the race today, nothing else seemed to matter to him. After all, he had been training himself for the past few months an knew that he was ready. Of course, there was no true prize for trying to complete the race first as it was one of those charity runs...but he still couldn't help but feel that competitive spirit in him wanting to at least be at the front of the pack when running. Soon enough though, he listened to them calling out for all racers to meet at the starting line to prepare for the Race for a Cure. The only thing that he didn't like about the race was that when it came time to get the racing numbers....he apparently had the bad luck of getting the unlucky number 13. He wasn't exactly a believer of urban legends or anything supernatural...but...he couldn't help but feel that sense of unease for the number. But that was something he had to think on at another time as they raised the starting pistol. In just mere moments, the pistol went off and so too were the racers.\n\nBecause of the intense need to be first, his legs would begin to kick into overdrive, propelling him to the front of the line along with a wolf and a stallion, both of whom seemed to have that same competitive spirit as him. They would continue to run....and while many of the racers began to fall back, whether from exerting too much energy or trying to reserve their energy, the three of them continued to run neck to neck as each gained a foot and then promptly lost it to one of the other runners. But near the two mile marker, while approaching the Emerald Forrest portion of the race, the young deer decided to make his move against the other two and made a mad dash ahead....using a fallen log as a propelling device as his legs used it to spring forward. He felt that sense of exhilaration in him as he saw it put space between him and the others...seeing them slowly disappearing the further he raced upon the forest trail. \n\nAs he raced forward, he would suddenly see that there was a split in the trail up ahead...and found himself having to make a split decision. After all, choosing the wrong path would have taken him away fro the race....and would eventually make him lose to the wolf and stallion with whom he had a personal race with...but if he chose the right path, he would continue his leader status, feeding into his ego. At the fork in the path, he ended up making a split decision that took him to the right, racing down the secondary forest path. But as he raced down it, it would seem as though that forest came alive, uncovering the previously hidden race sign advising runners to use the left path. Whatever was within this forest would have plans for the deer it seemed...or at least for whoever ran alone as the other racers began to come by, going left and leaving the deer to race on towards an unknown presence.",
