He's been kind enough to come and help, because this challenge is going to be a tiny bit different!\"\n\nCybele did not seem about to let anyone get a word in, but even if anyone tried to speak up... someone had seen to it that the cubs were once again unable to vocalize more than a whisper against the explanation.\n\n\"It's hide and seek!\" with a big, expansive gesture of her bare arms that made her grey-white hagoromo ripple about her shoulders for a moment. \"You all get three minutes to find a place to hide, and then you're all going to be stuck where you are until Mister Nikolai finds you! I bet you know how it goes, but still! Only upon realizing that their tents were gone, and the exact details of the surrounding gardens changed, might the cubs guess that they had been scattered about the gardens at random.\n\nFortunately none of them dithered; Cybele had only promised them three minutes to find their hiding places after all. Scattered as they once again were, there was not even time to argue strategy! Just everyone taking their best shot at finding places to hide.\n\nPetal and Connie were the first to select their hiding places: for Connie, it was up inside the topiary! Somehow, despite that fat behind, the 'chee actually did an adequate job of fully concealing herself inside a the cube of privet! While Petal fair hurled herself behind the garden's hedge-line, secreting herself in the narrow space behind foliage and a wall dividing one section of garden from another.\n\nDaniel was the next to find himself a spot to hide, one more cub taking advantage of the privet. In his case however, the choice of hiding place was below: smallest member of the group had the advantage of being able to hide beneath even one of the lowest hedges; the knee-height ones squared off along the path sides.\n\nPoly meanwhile chose a similar course to Connie, although her choice of topiary was somewhat larger. Still pruned by some unseen gardener into a cube, though! Just a cube more on the scale of a tree, rather than a precarious potted plant that somehow kept ahold of young cheetahs like the most enthusiastic kidnapper.\n\nThe last to find a place to hide was Pity. Perhaps she'd thought herself in circles, discounting one hiding spot after another as too obvious, only to pick somewhere particularly stand-out: a little round potting shed with stone walls and a tile roof. But at least she had the foresight to clamber up and squash-cling to the rafters! Even if curves did make that just a little challenging. Wasn't she lucky, therefore, when the seeker's count ended and froze her up there?\n\n\nAfter that, it was merely a waiting game; one that 'Nikolai' did not seem terribly worried about drawing out as he strolled through the beautiful surroundings, taking in the environment before he halted beside one of the smaller pieces of cubic foliage, considered...\n\nAnd then a paw closed around Connie's tail.\n\nWhether she had merely lost track of it, let it slip in the last moment before the freeze, or Nikolai had merely narrowed her down first of the group, that was all it took before the blip and Connie was back to wait at the camp fire!\n\nPerhaps it was because she had had a similar idea, but Poly was the next to go! Although in her case, the larger tree-scaled topiary into which she had clambered meant that Nikolai had to practically peer up and inside before he could see the little fox girl, grin -\n\nAnd Poly was back at the fire, with Connie and Cybele.\n\nPity was the next unfortunate, the door of the little structure she had chosen opening with a slow, drawn-out creek and the long shadow of the adult wolf spreading across the floor by way of the square of light from the door. In her stepped, looked slowly around, seemed to be about to leave - and then looked up at Pity, and smiled at her as she was spirited away to wait back at camp.\n\nWhich just left Petal, and Daniel. Both had every reason to be scared, but for some reason? For some reason Petal was especially so; nerves raw and anxious even as Nikolai stood so, so close to Daniel's hiding place... and then he sniffed, smiled.\n\nHad that anxiety given her away? It was a common adage, wolves being able to smell things like fear, after all. Either way, his big, dark paw snapped into the hedge, clamped around Petal's arm, and yanked her out onto the gravel path.\n\nDaniel had chance to get one, good look at his nemesis' capture before, as the last cub standing, he too was whisked away to the camp fire.\n\n \n\n\"And that's the end of the game!\" Cybele's bright, enthusiastic voice as she addressed the four cubs that had joined her by the fire. \"Daniel was the last to be found, so he wins, and that's plus one Life Point!\"\n\nThe white +1 was already drifting up in front of Daniel's nose, as Cybele turned and smiled at Connie, so -\n\n\"And Connie got caught first, which means she loses one Life Point.\"\n\nJust like Daniel, but the black -1 was drifting away before Connie's nose.\n\n\"Now, since you all had plenty of time around the garden, you all get a chance for a treasure! But the ones who found something to open aaaare -\" after drawing out the word, Cybele gave a clap, and in front of Poly and Connie appeared orbs in their respective colors! One in pale gold, another in mottled golden brown. If at all possible, both would drop into their winner's paws before Cybele spoke again.\n\n\"Let's see if you can open them while Petal's away playing with Master Nikolai!\"\n\nEvidently Cybele did not have any compunctions about Nikolai's preferred form of address!\n\n(Please see Here below for your questions and opportunity to answer!)\n\nOn that ominous note, Cybele had her questions for the two cubs, and then, with a little pout, \"... Well I guess Petal can just see the choice when she's finished. Here are your symbols to choose before we find out who has to leave next, everyone!\"\n\nOne more grand gesture from the scantily dressed lamb, and this time the statuary nearby the tents had changed into a depiction of that cage, or pagoda from before, and a somewhat less easy to interpret group of squiggly lines with one more overhead and horizontal.\n\n#H3594951 #H3615590\n\n<Please roleplay responses by replying to the appropriate ‘Reactions’ comment below! Scattered as they once again were, there was not even time to argue strategy! Just everyone taking their best shot at finding places to hide.

Petal and Connie were the first to select their hiding places: for Connie, it was up inside the topiary! Somehow, despite that fat behind, the 'chee actually did an adequate job of fully concealing herself inside a the cube of privet! While Petal fair hurled herself behind the garden's hedge-line, secreting herself in the narrow space behind foliage and a wall dividing one section of garden from another.

Daniel was the next to find himself a spot to hide, one more cub taking advantage of the privet. In his case however, the choice of hiding place was below: smallest member of the group had the advantage of being able to hide beneath even one of the lowest hedges; the knee-height ones squared off along the path sides.

Poly meanwhile chose a similar course to Connie, although her choice of topiary was somewhat larger. Still pruned by some unseen gardener into a cube, though! Just a cube more on the scale of a tree, rather than a precarious potted plant that somehow kept ahold of young cheetahs like the most enthusiastic kidnapper.

The last to find a place to hide was Pity. Wasn't she lucky, therefore, when the seeker's count ended and froze her up there?

After that, it was merely a waiting game; one that 'Nikolai' did not seem terribly worried about drawing out as he strolled through the beautiful surroundings, taking in the environment before he halted beside one of the smaller pieces of cubic foliage, considered...

And then a paw closed around Connie's tail.

Whether she had merely lost track of it, let it slip in the last moment before the freeze, or Nikolai had merely narrowed her down first of the group, that was all it took before the blip and Connie was back to wait at the camp fire!

Perhaps it was because she had had a similar idea, but Poly was the next to go! Although in her case, the larger tree-scaled topiary into which she had clambered meant that Nikolai had to practically peer up and inside before he could see the little fox girl, grin -

And Poly was back at the fire, with Connie and Cybele.

Pity was the next unfortunate, the door of the little structure she had chosen opening with a slow, drawn-out creek and the long shadow of the adult wolf spreading across the floor by way of the square of light from the door. In her stepped, looked slowly around, seemed to be about to leave - and then looked up at Pity, and smiled at her as she was spirited away to wait back at camp.

Which just left Petal, and Daniel. Both had every reason to be scared, but for some reason? For some reason Petal was especially so; nerves raw and anxious even as Nikolai stood so, so close to Daniel's hiding place... and then he sniffed, smiled.

Had that anxiety given her away? It was a common adage, wolves being able to smell things like fear, after all. Either way, his big, dark paw snapped into the hedge, clamped around Petal's arm, and yanked her out onto the gravel path.

Daniel had chance to get one, good look at his nemesis' capture before, as the last cub standing, he too was whisked away to the camp fire.

"And that's the end of the game!" Cybele's bright, enthusiastic voice as she addressed the four cubs that had joined her by the fire. "Daniel was the last to be found, so he wins, and that's plus one Life Point!"

The white +1 was already drifting up in front of Daniel's nose, as Cybele turned and smiled at Connie, so -

"And Connie got caught first, which means she loses one Life Point."

Just like Daniel, but the black -1 was drifting away before Connie's nose.

"Now, since you all had plenty of time around the garden, you all get a chance for a treasure! But the ones who found something to open aaaare -" after drawing out the word, Cybele gave a clap, and in front of Poly and Connie appeared orbs in their respective colors! One in pale gold, another in mottled golden brown. If at all possible, both would drop into their winner's paws before Cybele spoke again.

"Let's see if you can open them while Petal's away playing with Master Nikolai!"

Evidently Cybele did not have any compunctions about Nikolai's preferred form of address!

(Please see Here below for your questions and opportunity to answer!)

On that ominous note, Cybele had her questions for the two cubs, and then, with a little pout, "... Well I guess Petal can just see the choice when she's finished. Here are your symbols to choose before we find out who has to leave next, everyone!"

One more grand gesture from the scantily dressed lamb, and this time the statuary nearby the tents had changed into a depiction of that cage, or pagoda from before, and a somewhat less easy to interpret group of squiggly lines with one more overhead and horizontal.

\r\n\t\t\t
\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t
\r\n\t\t\t

\r\n\t\t\t
\r\n\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t
\r\n\t\t\t

<Please roleplay responses by replying to the appropriate ‘Reactions’ comment below!
