Original Story by: Flamedj123", "writing": "The Protector’s Hidden Roots part 5\n\nThis is the sequel to A New Power Arising, please read that before reading this or else you won’t understand what’s going on here.\n\nAs Kakado continued to dash at Paldena, she got ready to defend herself by creating a light-based bubble around herself. Kakado reached out to the bubble and clawed at it with his dark-powered hands, slashing madly at it. The bubble itself seemed to take no damage at all as it continued to take a beating from Kakado. Paldena kept flinching every time Kakado slashed it because she had a fear it would break soon at how much force Kakado put behind each slash. \n\n“Playing hard to get huh? I see.” Kakado said as he jumped back. He put one hand out in front of him and a black ball started to form its essence there. Slowly but surely the ball was getting bigger by the minute. Paldena noticed this as she tried to steady up her defense by increasing the bubble’s mass.\n\n“Here we go! Shadow Beam!” Kakado shouted as he fired the beam at Paldena. \n\n“Ahhh!” Paldena screamed as the beam impacted the bubble at an intense speed. She closed her eyes and looked away and she kept the bubble stable. The beam had still been firing; it seemed like an eternity for Paldena as she desperately wanted the beam to stop before it got through her defense.\n\n“Time to step it up a little bit.” Kakado said to himself. He opened his hand out as far as he could, opening has palm as wide as it could go, releasing more power from his dark beam. \n\n“I-I can’t hold it any longer!” Paldena though to herself. After that thought, the bubble shattered into tiny little pieces and the beam impacted her hard. She flew a long distance once the beam hit her and ceased afterwards.\n\n“Heh heh, too much for you now Paldena? My, you’ve grown weak!” Kakado said in a happy and a disappointed tone. Paldena was shaking a little bit as part of her body glowed a dark aura.\n\n“How? How has he gotten stronger so quickly?!” Paldena thought to herself as pain was still rushing through her body, wincing once the pain hurt more. Kakado slowly walked towards her, having an evil grin on his face as he grew closer to her every step he took towards her.\n\nPaldena got it together to ignore the pain given to her as she made a light shield on her left arm and a light sword on her right hand. She teleported behind him and sliced his back three times and jumped back. Kakado seemed like he wasn’t fazed by this at all as he quickly turned around to face his adversary. He made two dark claws appear on his hands as he dashed towards Paldena. Paldena saw this and readied up her shield.\n\nKakado took a quick slash at Paldena, he was blocked by Paldena’s shield and his left arm was sliced by her sword, leaving blood in the air as it soon hit the ground. His arm had been dripping slowly with blood now.\n\n“Not bad, it’s finally hurting me now” Kakado said quietly.\n\nPaldena tried to stab Kakado in the gut, but missed as he easily dodged the shank. He quickly leaned against his back and spun kick Paldena to get her away from him so he could get up. Paldena jumped back before she was hit by his kick.\n\n“Ready to give up now Kakado?” Paldena said jokingly.\n\n“Ha ha ha! Does it look like I am dear?” Kakado replied.\n\nKakado once again dashed at Paldena, swinging his right hand to hit her, but she had quickly blocked the attack with her light sword. Kakado then quickly used his other hand to grab onto Paldena’s right hand and then kicking the back of her feet to make her plummet into the ground hard. He then got onto of her and pinned her down.\n\n“Why must you still fight me?” Kakado questioned.\n\n“Because, of what you have done to the poke’mon” Paldena replied.\n\n“Have you forgotten what we did in the past?!” Kakado’s tone rose.\n\n“No, what’s in the past is there and can’t be changed at all, only looked upon and never forgotten.” Paldena replied with seriousness behind her voice.\n\n“Ahh...I’m glad you see it that way. You still want to fight me right?”\n\n“...No, not exactly.”\n\n“Don’t then. Don’t fight me because of what I did; fight me only if I truly deserve it.” Kakado said calmly. Paldena nodded to what he had said.\n\n“You know I still love you after so many centuries...” \n\n“And I still love you, Kakado” Kakado had leaned forward to kiss her on the lips. Paldena followed Kakado and soon their lips touched one another’s. They showed their passion for each other through their one kiss they had once again. Kakado had let go of Paldena and helped her to her feet. He canceled his dark claws as she canceled her sword and shield. They embraced each other for a long time while Kakado used one wing to wrap around Paldena, while Paldena used one wing to wrap around Kakado.\n\nMeanwhile, some of the other poke’mon from the Tribe of Grass had arrived on scene and saw the two poke’mon embracing each other.\n\n“Wha-What has happened here?!” One of the poke’mon shouted with question.\n\n“Oh dear, you should fix the damage I caused to the poke’mon” Kakado said.\n\n“You’re right.” Paldena said as she let go of Kakado and shot a ball of light to each poke’mon evoked with a dark aura made by Kakado. Shortly after, the poke’mon started to wake up from their nightmares and ran away once they were able to do so.\n\n“I think you left them scarred for life dear...” Paldena said.\n\n“Yeah, I kinda think so as well” Kakado said mournfully.\n\nThe group of poke’mon slowly walked up to Paldena and Kakado, all with confused looks on their faces.\n\n“No need to worry now. After what they have gone through they shouldn’t bother the village anymore” Kakado said.\n\n“You are all safe now.
