Helios was sluggish the whole way even during the fights, but kept up nonetheless. Three days into their trip, Crafty did a quick medical exam on Helios and determined that he was just exhausted from running on adrenaline and rage for a very long time. Now that he felt he was in a safe place his body was forcing itself to recharge and hopefully he’d recover in a few days.\n\nMelany the Stunky-woman was sitting outside her junk store when GR-0-WL the robo-Growlithe barked. Melany looked up, then smiled and stood to greet Dee, “Dee, been a while.”\n\n“Not nearly as long as the last time,” Dee chuckled, “I made new friends too, and found an old one.” Dee looked back only to see that Helios had stopped to lean up against the junk store’s wall so she ran back to help him.\n\nIntroductions were made by the time Dee helped Helios limp around the corner. In the end Helios ended up with metal armor, a sledgehammer and an SMG with five extra clips of ammo, plus a set of more comfortable under-wear for the armor that could be worn as regular clothes. She spent a little extra time to carefully cut holes in the back so Helios could use his wings.\n\n“You sure about this, Dee?” Helios asked as she handed over most of her payment from Mr. House and a bunch of the ammo and weapons they’d taken from the Bug-type raiders that had attacked them over the last few days.\n\nDee smiled, “Yes. I’m not gonna force you to walk around nearly naked all the time.”\n\nHelios chuckled, “I know you’d enjoy that.” He yawned and shaded his eyes from the midday sun, “Can we stop in Dendemille tonight?”\n\nDee nodded, “Of course. They have a working hotel.”\n\n“It’s not bad, we can afford a couple rooms with all the scrap we sold today,” Crafty grinned, “Wanna join us, Melany?”\n\nMelany shook her head as she started to separate all the gear they’d exchanged for Helios’ new armaments, “Nah. Actually with all this stuff I should be able to go on an expedition to a pre-war site I heard about that no one’s been able to claim, too much radiation,” she grinned, “Even fix my plasma rifle. You have fun now.”\n\n“Goodbye!” GR-0-WL barked as the five friends headed for Dendemille.\n\nThe motel closest to the edge of the city had two free rooms for the five of them. Chapter 36: Can You Find it in Your Heart?


The road to Dendemille Town was far from peaceful and the five friends had to fight off a few raider attacks, Fire Durant as well as Golden and Fire Gecleon. Helios was sluggish the whole way even during the fights, but kept up nonetheless. Three days into their trip, Crafty did a quick medical exam on Helios and determined that he was just exhausted from running on adrenaline and rage for a very long time.
