"writing": "Chapter 15: Mixed Signals\n\nDee and the Zoroark-woman made their way to the spot marked on Dee’s Rotom-Boy in the north of Puesta del Sol. The sudden appearance of the two security holograms sent most of the Shadow Pokemon running for the moment, which allowed Dee and her friend to make it to the marker with little trouble. They arrived at the door to a concrete structure more sturdily built than the rest of the villa.\n\n“This must be it,” Dee turned the door handle and it slid open. She turned to see The Zoroark-woman shrink back from the door with fear emanating from her. “What’s wrong?”\n\n‘Inside, too close, scared,’ the Zoroark-woman shook her head, ‘stay outside’.\n\nDee walked to her and took her hand, “You don’t like being indoors, because of that auto-doc?” her friend nodded. Dee did her best to smile reassuringly, “I’ll be with you, I promise you’ll be safe.”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman blushed, ‘thank you’. She let Dee guide her inside before shutting the door behind them, lest the Shadow Pokemon come to investigate. The Zoroark-woman started to shake until Dee squeezed her hand comfortingly.\n\nThe first room they found themselves in was an electrical control room, with control panels and large tubes full of wires that overtook the walls. Despite that, the room was only lit by backup lightning. There was only one other door on their right where the Rotom-Boy directed them\n\nDee tried the other door but found it stuck fast, she’d seen this before in Vault 18: electronic locks unable to release when the power was out. “Power’s out, better see about that.” Dee searched around, but her friend found the source of the problem first: a fuse box they had walked past when entering the room. Inside they found that three of the fuses were obviously fried, and had to be replaced. Thankfully replacements were found in a supply closet nearby.\n\n“Why do you think Elijah wants you in here?” Dee asked her friend as she carefully installed the new fuses.\n\nThe Zoroark-woman motioned to what she was doing I the fuse box, ‘know technology, can operate.’\n\n“Something that needs a fine touch and knowledge of how to operate tech,” Dee looked up and down the armor the Zoroark-woman wore, which was high tech and – on closer examination – was specifically fitted for her, “You grew up around tech too?”\n\nShe just nodded but focused on her task. Dee sensed she didn’t feel comfortable discussing her past so changed the subject, “Can you tell me your name, write it down or sign it for me or something?”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman finished her task, closed her eyes and tried to focus, then shook her head, ‘brain operation in crater,’ she tapped the scars barely hidden by her only recently regrowing headfur, ‘hurt brain, can’t spell, can’t read, letters just mess in mind. Can do math.’\n\n“Brain surgery in crater?” Dee’s eyes went wide as she touched the surgical scar around her head, “Did you get those scars in Big MT?”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman turned to Dee with a shocked expression, ‘you know crater?’\n\nDee nodded, her eyes turning downcast, “I was sent there once too, they cut me up and stuck me back together with artificial organs, brain included, and it was a miraculous fluke that I didn’t just become a lobotomite. I managed to get all my organs back though. Can’t imagine what happened to you was any more pleasant.”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman wiped her eyes as sympathetic tears sprang up, ‘elder tricked me, shoved in surgery machine, cut brain, machine stopped before brain removed. Hurts to think sometimes.’\n\nDee suddenly embraced her friend, “It’s alright, I’m here, I know what you’ve gone through. We’ll get through this.”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman blushed a deep crimson as she felt Dee’s massive breasts press up against her, even if it made the embrace a little awkward, then hugged her back. They stayed like that for a minute before the Zoroark-woman finally turned the power back on, which lit up the whole room.\n\n“Let’s go, the sooner we do this the sooner you can get outside again.” Dee motioned for her friend to follow.\n\nWith the power back on, the door opened easily into a room filled with shadow. The whirring noise of a turret powering up made both Poke-women jumped behind the doorframe before a barrage of lasers streamed through the open door. Dee peeked around the corner to see the laser turret as it wound down then pulled back before it could acquire a target. She felt the worry from her friend then looked over at her.\n\n“I’ll take care of any turrets in there,” Dee held up both hands and charged them with Steel-type aura again, this time the orb only reached softball side before she darted out from cover and fired a silver Flash Cannon beam at the turret, fragmenting it in an instant. The sound of another turret powering up nearby made Dee spin and hurl a Vacuum wave at the sound, which proved more than enough to destroy the ancient weapon. Dee checked around the dark room then motioned for her friend to join her.\n\n“All clear, sort of,” Dee looked down off the edge of the catwalk she now stood on.\n\nThe Zoroark-woman entered the room cautiously and looked around. The whole room was dim despite the ceiling lights. The Shadow seemed to fill the upper half of the room and below that the darkness grew so dense as to look like a solid pool of black. Some of the catwalk was demolished which left no way to the opposite side of the room where another office structure was situated.\n\nDee glared down into the thick darkness with a frown, “I don’t want go into that.”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman took a deep breath and gripped the catwalk railing which rattled in her hands, ‘too dark.’\n\nDee looked over at her then placed a comforting hand on the Zoroark-woman’s shoulder, “Don’t worry, I won’t make you walk through that. Do you trust me?”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman turned and clasped Dee’s hand as she released her shoulder, then nodded.\n\n“Good, now hold on,” Dee carefully picked her friend up in a bridal carry, which made the Zoroark-woman blush, then jumped over the pit of darkness and landed on the opposite catwalk before she set her friend down. “You alright?”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman felt her heart racing but nodded, ‘where now?’\n\nDee checked her Rotom-Boy, “This way I think,” she opened the door to the room next to where they had landed then froze. Inside it was a small office but there was graffiti scrawled on the walls: “THE SIERRA MADRE’S MINE!” “NOT GIVING UP MY SHARE!” “THE TREASURE’S MINE ASSHOLES!” “COME ON AND DIE!” “CAN’T TAKE THE MADRE FROM ME!” “DIE DIE DIE DIE!” all scrawled on the walls. The Zoroark-woman grabbed Dee’s arm, her breathing rapid as the words seemed to press in on them.\n\nDee did her best to shake off her unease and looked around the rest of the room to find a computer with red words flashing on screen. Ignoring the graffiti, Dee sat down and read aloud, “Toxic gasses detected, activate ventilation system to remove lockdown.” She looked up at her friend who leaned over her shoulder, “Guess I need to do that.” It was just a few keystrokes to reactivate the ventilation system.\n\nThere was an audible rush of air from outside the door they had just come through. Dee jumped and ran back through the door to see the result of her action in time to see The Shadow receding from the room. Then she saw what had been beneath the darkness and screamed.\n\nCorpses\n\nDozens of headless corpses all lay on the ground among the ventilation machines, all Poke-people wearing jumpsuits but showing no decay from the preserving Shadow that had enveloped them. Dee fell back, panic setting in as she started to cry and shake as this sight and the graffiti finally made it sink in what ‘God’ had meant about greed overtaking the people’s desire for freedom. The Zoroark-woman ran outside and saw the sight, then turned to the distraught Dee and immediately dropped down and hugged her.\n\n‘I’m here,’ her comfort rang through to Dee and Dee instinctually hugged her back until they both stopped shaking. Without taking a second look down in the pit, both got up and headed through the ventilation control room on their way to the Zoroark-woman’s position.\n\n“How many times has he tried this before?” Dee asked. She shared a look with her friend and said what they were both thinking, “Too many. Let’s make sure we’re the last.” Her friend nodded.\n\nThe next room was also full of catwalks and had two more turrets on guard, but it only took two Flash Cannons from Dee to destroy them, albeit she took a couple laser shots to the torso which burned but didn’t pierce her skin. The Rotom-Boy led them both to a larger shack at the far end of the catwalk and an elevator in the wall.\n\nThe Zoroark-woman shrank back from the elevator but Dee stepped forwards, “I’ll check it first, be right back.” She stepped into the elevator, first going up to find herself in an apartment in Puesta del Sol, then down further to a tiny room full of controls that she couldn’t even squeeze her huge assets into. She figured her friend could fit in there though it would still be a tight squeeze.\n\nDee returned to the middle level where the Zoroark-woman stood, twitching nervously. “There’s a small control room down there, too small for me to squeeze into but you might fit.”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman shuffled back, waving her hands in panic, ‘NO! NO! NO! TOO SMALL! TOO TIGHT!’ her panic exploded out and she started shaking.\n\nDee ran forwards and grabbed her shoulders, “Wait wait! I won’t make you go in there! I promise!”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman was still shaking but took several deep breaths to try and calm her down, ‘how open?’\n\n“The Madre?” Dee looked around the room and found a terminal, “Just give me a minute.” She sat down at the terminal and set about hacking through the security. It took a couple minutes but she found her way into the system and she started searching for something to help. “Perfect! I can set this terminal up as a remote access station for the controls,” she stood up and turned to her friend, “You can run your gala event task right from here.”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman smiled and blushed, ‘thank you’. She leaned forwards and gave Dee a kiss on the cheek.\n\nDee blushed and touched the cheek where she’d been kissed, “I’ll come back for you later.”\n\nThe Zoroark-woman shook her head, ‘street danger, meet in casino.’ She sat down at the terminal.\n\n“Alright, see you at the Madre,” Dee entered the elevator and rode it back up to street level, emerging in an apartment with a huge hole in the wall.\n\nWhile they had been inside, the Shadow Pokemon had resumed their street brawls but now avoided the areas where Dee had activated the security holograms for Dean. She peered outside then stepped back and shivered. She was alone.\n\nDee took a deep breath then ran out the window and jumped across the street to the adjacent building. It was some small comfort that she could easily avoid the fights just by leaping from building to building. Were it not for the danger and horror that surrounded her, Dee might have actually found it fun to jump from building to building like a superhero. Now it was just a good way to avoid danger. She didn’t even drop back to the street to get back into the central villa, just jumping over the arch.\n\nThe central villa proved to be just as deserted as it had been when she had last been there but Dee stuck to the rooftops and balconies as she made her way to the last marker Elijah had put on her Rotom-Boy’s map, where her own position for the Gala was. She made her way to Salida del Sol, which was still relatively calm since she dropped ‘God’ off at his position. Still, Dee did her best to stay on the rooftops to avoid any Shadow Pokemon.\n\nThe marker led Dee to an abandoned bell tower and she decided to climb the ladder from inside and all but popped through the trap door. At the top, Dee found a control panel and intercom system and thankfully enough room to stand comfortably. “I guess this is my spot.” Through The Shadow she could just see the shape of the Sierra Madre op top of its hill.\n\nElijah’s voice came through the intercom, “Can you hear me…? Damn transceivers… Everyone should have a speaker near their spot… then there… we’re so close now, make sure it works.”\n\nA series of taps came through the speaker which Dee hoped was the Zoroark-woman responding. “I hear you, it’s you right? Wish I knew your name.” Dee touched her cheek where she’d been kissed. A few more taps seemed to indicate it was her.\n\n“Ready. The both of us.” ‘God’ spoked, “I’ll keep Dog locked in his cage… you just open the Sierra Madre.”\n\n“What are you waiting for? Rubbing it in?” Dean’s condescending voice spoke up. “Strike up the band already. Careful when you do… you think the Villa’s bad now, you haven’t seen anything yet.”\n\nDee grabbed the big lever on the control panel, “If you can all hear me, trigger the events on three. One… two… three!” Dee pulled the lever down almost hard enough to break it.\n\n“Finally.” Elijah’s voice came through again, “Now, the gates will open. And so will the skies.”\n\nAlmost immediately there was a screech of noise from the streets below as speakers throughout the Villa came to life and began trying to play centuries old music and small flashes and booms were heard from fireworks overhead and spotlights at the Sierra Madre illuminated the building. Dee wished The Shadow wasn’t there so she could see the colorful bursts of light in the sky but there was no time to marvel as she heard more noise from below. She forced herself back through the trap door and slid down the ladder only to find three Shadow Timburr and three Shadow Machop in the middle of a brawl blocking the exit to the tower. Dee could hear even more ahead and knew it was going to get worse by the minute so she pulled out her last frag grenade and threw it at the brawling Shadow Pokemon. They didn’t have a chance to react before it exploded and scattered them. Dee didn’t have a chance to confirm any kills as she ran past the explosion.\n\nThe Shadow Pokemon were emerging from everywhere as Dee jumped up and over those that emerged, fired off a Flash Cannon when she couldn’t evade them, then jumped up to a nearby roof. It felt like hours as Dee fought, evaded and snuck past the emerging horde of Shadow Pokemon. Right before the door to the Villa, Dee jumped up and over a Shadow Machamp and Shadow Conkeldurr that had started a fight. Thankfully they were too engrossed in their battle to try and stop her.\n\nMore and more Shadow Pokemon were emerging on the streets of the Villa as Dee ran for the entrance to the Sierra Madre. Part of her wanted to go find the rest of her team but the increasing hordes emerging to start a turf war between the Machop and Timburr lines would make that impossible. She had to trust that they could make it to the Madre on their own and beelined for the gates.\n\nThe gates were open and Dee charged through them and up the stairs to the Sierra Madre. The Shadow Pokemon either didn’t notice her or didn’t care to chase her as she ran right up to the ornate front doors and burst through. Dee stopped to catch her breath as the doors swung shut behind her, then gaped as she saw ‘God’, Dean and the Zoroark-woman all unconscious on the floor of the Sierra Madre’s lobby. Then a moment later felt a shock of pain from the ring on her neck so intense she fell to her knees then passed out.",

The Zoroark-woman started to shake until Dee squeezed her hand comfortingly.<br /><br />The first room they found themselves in was an electrical control room, with control panels and large tubes full of wires that overtook the walls. Despite that, the room was only lit by backup lightning. There was only one other door on their right where the Rotom-Boy directed them<br /><br />Dee tried the other door but found it stuck fast, she&rsquo;d seen this before in Vault 18: electronic locks unable to release when the power was out. &ldquo;Power&rsquo;s out, better see about that.&rdquo; Dee searched around, but her friend found the source of the problem first: a fuse box they had walked past when entering the room. Inside they found that three of the fuses were obviously fried, and had to be replaced. Thankfully replacements were found in a supply closet nearby.<br /><br />&ldquo;Why do you think Elijah wants you in here?&rdquo; Dee asked her friend as she carefully installed the new fuses.<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman motioned to what she was doing I the fuse box, &lsquo;know technology, can operate.&rsquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Something that needs a fine touch and knowledge of how to operate tech,&rdquo; Dee looked up and down the armor the Zoroark-woman wore, which was high tech and &ndash; on closer examination &ndash; was specifically fitted for her, &ldquo; You grew up around tech too?&rdquo;<br /><br />She just nodded but focused on her task. Dee sensed she didn&rsquo;t feel comfortable discussing her past so changed the subject, &ldquo; Can you tell me your name, write it down or sign it for me or something?&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman finished her task, closed her eyes and tried to focus, then shook her head, &lsquo;brain operation in crater,&rsquo; she tapped the scars barely hidden by her only recently regrowing headfur, &lsquo;hurt brain, can&rsquo;t spell, can&rsquo;t read, letters just mess in mind. Can do math.&rsquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;Brain surgery in crater?&rdquo; Dee&rsquo;s eyes went wide as she touched the surgical scar around her head, &ldquo;Did you get those scars in Big MT?&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman turned to Dee with a shocked expression, &lsquo;you know crater?&rsquo;<br /><br />Dee nodded, her eyes turning downcast, &ldquo;I was sent there once too, they cut me up and stuck me back together with artificial organs, brain included, and it was a miraculous fluke that I didn&rsquo;t just become a lobotomite. I managed to get all my organs back though. Can&rsquo;t imagine what happened to you was any more pleasant.&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman wiped her eyes as sympathetic tears sprang up, &lsquo;elder tricked me, shoved in surgery machine, cut brain, machine stopped before brain removed. Hurts to think sometimes.&rsquo;<br /><br />Dee suddenly embraced her friend, &ldquo; It&rsquo;s alright, I&rsquo;m here, I know what you&rsquo;ve gone through. We&rsquo;ll get through this.&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman blushed a deep crimson as she felt Dee&rsquo;s massive breasts press up against her, even if it made the embrace a little awkward, then hugged her back. They stayed like that for a minute before the Zoroark-woman finally turned the power back on, which lit up the whole room.<br /><br />&ldquo;Let&rsquo;s go, the sooner we do this the sooner you can get outside again.&rdquo; Dee motioned for her friend to follow.<br /><br />With the power back on, the door opened easily into a room filled with shadow. The whirring noise of a turret powering up made both Poke-women jumped behind the doorframe before a barrage of lasers streamed through the open door. Dee peeked around the corner to see the laser turret as it wound down then pulled back before it could acquire a target. She felt the worry from her friend then looked over at her.<br /><br />&ldquo;I&rsquo;ll take care of any turrets in there,&rdquo; Dee held up both hands and charged them with Steel-type aura again, this time the orb only reached softball side before she darted out from cover and fired a silver Flash Cannon beam at the turret, fragmenting it in an instant. The sound of another turret powering up nearby made Dee spin and hurl a Vacuum wave at the sound, which proved more than enough to destroy the ancient weapon. Dee checked around the dark room then motioned for her friend to join her.<br /><br />&ldquo;All clear, sort of,&rdquo; Dee looked down off the edge of the catwalk she now stood on.<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman entered the room cautiously and looked around. The whole room was dim despite the ceiling lights. The Shadow seemed to fill the upper half of the room and below that the darkness grew so dense as to look like a solid pool of black. Some of the catwalk was demolished which left no way to the opposite side of the room where another office structure was situated.<br /><br />Dee glared down into the thick darkness with a frown, &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t want go into that.&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman took a deep breath and gripped the catwalk railing which rattled in her hands, &lsquo;too dark.&rsquo;<br /><br />Dee looked over at her then placed a comforting hand on the Zoroark-woman&rsquo;s shoulder, &ldquo;Don&rsquo;t worry, I won&rsquo;t make you walk through that. Do you trust me?&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman turned and clasped Dee&rsquo;s hand as she released her shoulder, then nodded.<br /><br />&ldquo;Good, now hold on,&rdquo; Dee carefully picked her friend up in a bridal carry, which made the Zoroark-woman blush, then jumped over the pit of darkness and landed on the opposite catwalk before she set her friend down. &ldquo; You alright?&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman felt her heart racing but nodded, &lsquo;where now?&rsquo;<br /><br />Dee checked her Rotom-Boy, &ldquo; This way I think,&rdquo; she opened the door to the room next to where they had landed then froze. Inside it was a small office but there was graffiti scrawled on the walls: &ldquo;THE SIERRA MADRE&rsquo;S MINE!&rdquo; &ldquo;NOT GIVING UP MY SHARE!&rdquo; &ldquo;THE TREASURE&rsquo;S MINE ASSHOLES!&rdquo; &ldquo;COME ON AND DIE!&rdquo; &ldquo;CAN&rsquo;T TAKE THE MADRE FROM ME!&rdquo; &ldquo;DIE DIE DIE DIE!&rdquo; all scrawled on the walls. The Zoroark-woman grabbed Dee&rsquo;s arm, her breathing rapid as the words seemed to press in on them.<br /><br />Dee did her best to shake off her unease and looked around the rest of the room to find a computer with red words flashing on screen. Ignoring the graffiti, Dee sat down and read aloud, &ldquo;Toxic gasses detected, activate ventilation system to remove lockdown.&rdquo; She looked up at her friend who leaned over her shoulder, &ldquo;Guess I need to do that.&rdquo; It was just a few keystrokes to reactivate the ventilation system.<br /><br />There was an audible rush of air from outside the door they had just come through. Dee jumped and ran back through the door to see the result of her action in time to see The Shadow receding from the room. Then she saw what had been beneath the darkness and screamed.<br /><br />Corpses<br /><br />Dozens of headless corpses all lay on the ground among the ventilation machines, all Poke-people wearing jumpsuits but showing no decay from the preserving Shadow that had enveloped them. Dee fell back, panic setting in as she started to cry and shake as this sight and the graffiti finally made it sink in what &lsquo;God&rsquo; had meant about greed overtaking the people&rsquo;s desire for freedom. The Zoroark-woman ran outside and saw the sight, then turned to the distraught Dee and immediately dropped down and hugged her.<br /><br />&lsquo;I&rsquo;m here,&rsquo; her comfort rang through to Dee and Dee instinctually hugged her back until they both stopped shaking. Without taking a second look down in the pit, both got up and headed through the ventilation control room on their way to the Zoroark-woman&rsquo;s position.<br /><br />&ldquo;How many times has he tried this before?&rdquo; Dee asked. She shared a look with her friend and said what they were both thinking, &ldquo;Too many. Let&rsquo;s make sure we&rsquo;re the last.&rdquo; Her friend nodded.<br /><br />The next room was also full of catwalks and had two more turrets on guard, but it only took two Flash Cannons from Dee to destroy them, albeit she took a couple laser shots to the torso which burned but didn&rsquo;t pierce her skin. The Rotom-Boy led them both to a larger shack at the far end of the catwalk and an elevator in the wall.<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman shrank back from the elevator but Dee stepped forwards, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll check it first, be right back.&rdquo; She stepped into the elevator, first going up to find herself in an apartment in Puesta del Sol, then down further to a tiny room full of controls that she couldn&rsquo;t even squeeze her huge assets into. She figured her friend could fit in there though it would still be a tight squeeze.<br /><br />Dee returned to the middle level where the Zoroark-woman stood, twitching nervously. &ldquo; There&rsquo;s a small control room down there, too small for me to squeeze into but you might fit.&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman shuffled back, waving her hands in panic, &lsquo;NO! NO! NO! TOO SMALL! TOO TIGHT!&rsquo; her panic exploded out and she started shaking.<br /><br />Dee ran forwards and grabbed her shoulders, &ldquo;Wait wait! I won&rsquo;t make you go in there! I promise!&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman was still shaking but took several deep breaths to try and calm her down, &lsquo;how open?&rsquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;The Madre?&rdquo; Dee looked around the room and found a terminal, &ldquo;Just give me a minute.&rdquo; She sat down at the terminal and set about hacking through the security. It took a couple minutes but she found her way into the system and she started searching for something to help. &ldquo;Perfect! I can set this terminal up as a remote access station for the controls,&rdquo; she stood up and turned to her friend, &ldquo; You can run your gala event task right from here.&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman smiled and blushed, &lsquo;thank you&rsquo;. She leaned forwards and gave Dee a kiss on the cheek.<br /><br />Dee blushed and touched the cheek where she&rsquo;d been kissed, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll come back for you later.&rdquo;<br /><br />The Zoroark-woman shook her head, &lsquo;street danger, meet in casino.&rsquo; She sat down at the terminal.<br /><br />&ldquo;Alright, see you at the Madre,&rdquo; Dee entered the elevator and rode it back up to street level, emerging in an apartment with a huge hole in the wall.<br /><br />While they had been inside, the Shadow Pokemon had resumed their street brawls but now avoided the areas where Dee had activated the security holograms for Dean. She peered outside then stepped back and shivered. She was alone.<br /><br />Dee took a deep breath then ran out the window and jumped across the street to the adjacent building. It was some small comfort that she could easily avoid the fights just by leaping from building to building. Were it not for the danger and horror that surrounded her, Dee might have actually found it fun to jump from building to building like a superhero. Now it was just a good way to avoid danger. She didn&rsquo;t even drop back to the street to get back into the central villa, just jumping over the arch.<br /><br />The central villa proved to be just as deserted as it had been when she had last been there but Dee stuck to the rooftops and balconies as she made her way to the last marker Elijah had put on her Rotom-Boy&rsquo;s map, where her own position for the Gala was. She made her way to Salida del Sol, which was still relatively calm since she dropped &lsquo;God&rsquo; off at his position. Still, Dee did her best to stay on the rooftops to avoid any Shadow Pokemon.<br /><br />The marker led Dee to an abandoned bell tower and she decided to climb the ladder from inside and all but popped through the trap door. At the top, Dee found a control panel and intercom system and thankfully enough room to stand comfortably. &ldquo;I guess this is my spot.&rdquo; Through The Shadow she could just see the shape of the Sierra Madre op top of its hill.<br /><br />Elijah&rsquo;s voice came through the intercom, &ldquo; Can you hear me&hellip;? Damn transceivers&hellip; Everyone should have a speaker near their spot&hellip; then there&hellip; we&rsquo;re so close now, make sure it works.&rdquo;<br /><br />A series of taps came through the speaker which Dee hoped was the Zoroark-woman responding. &ldquo;I hear you, it&rsquo;s you right? Wish I knew your name.&rdquo; Dee touched her cheek where she&rsquo;d been kissed. A few more taps seemed to indicate it was her.<br /><br />&ldquo;Ready. The both of us.&rdquo; &lsquo;God&rsquo; spoked, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll keep Dog locked in his cage&hellip; you just open the Sierra Madre.&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;What are you waiting for? Rubbing it in?&rdquo; Dean&rsquo;s condescending voice spoke up. &ldquo;Strike up the band already. Careful when you do&hellip; you think the Villa&rsquo;s bad now, you haven&rsquo;t seen anything yet.&rdquo;<br /><br />Dee grabbed the big lever on the control panel, &ldquo; If you can all hear me, trigger the events on three. One&hellip; two&hellip; three!&rdquo; Dee pulled the lever down almost hard enough to break it.<br /><br />&ldquo;Finally.&rdquo; Elijah&rsquo;s voice came through again, &ldquo; Now, the gates will open. And so will the skies.&rdquo;<br /><br />Almost immediately there was a screech of noise from the streets below as speakers throughout the Villa came to life and began trying to play centuries old music and small flashes and booms were heard from fireworks overhead and spotlights at the Sierra Madre illuminated the building. Dee wished The Shadow wasn&rsquo;t there so she could see the colorful bursts of light in the sky but there was no time to marvel as she heard more noise from below. They didn&rsquo;t have a chance to react before it exploded and scattered them. Dee didn&rsquo;t have a chance to confirm any kills as she ran past the explosion.<br /><br />The Shadow Pokemon were emerging from everywhere as Dee jumped up and over those that emerged, fired off a Flash Cannon when she couldn&rsquo;t evade them, then jumped up to a nearby roof. It felt like hours as Dee fought, evaded and snuck past the emerging horde of Shadow Pokemon. Right before the door to the Villa, Dee jumped up and over a Shadow Machamp and Shadow Conkeldurr that had started a fight. Thankfully they were too engrossed in their battle to try and stop her.<br /><br />More and more Shadow Pokemon were emerging on the streets of the Villa as Dee ran for the entrance to the Sierra Madre. Part of her wanted to go find the rest of her team but the increasing hordes emerging to start a turf war between the Machop and Timburr lines would make that impossible. She had to trust that they could make it to the Madre on their own and beelined for the gates.<br /><br />The gates were open and Dee charged through them and up the stairs to the Sierra Madre. The Shadow Pokemon either didn&rsquo;t notice her or didn&rsquo;t care to chase her as she ran right up to the ornate front doors and burst through. Dee stopped to catch her breath as the doors swung shut behind her, then gaped as she saw &lsquo;God&rsquo;, Dean and the Zoroark-woman all unconscious on the floor of the Sierra Madre&rsquo;s lobby. Then a moment later felt a shock of pain from the ring on her neck so intense she fell to her knees then passed out.</span>",
