It wasn’t until the pain subsided to a dull ache that she was allowed the mercy of unconsciousness.\n\nDee didn’t know how long she lay there, only that she had survived thanks to the Ultra-Parasite inside of her and that she was relieved that nothing had come across her and tried to kill or abduct her. She forced herself up and dragged herself in what she hoped was the direction of the nearest city with one thought dominating her mind.\n\nHer new home was gone.\n\nWith the grief over the loss of Hopeville, the recent news that her mate had gone east and might be dead and the healing process, Dee’s mind was in an addled haze. She spent the last of the money she’d left at the Kalos express to get enough gear to start doing deliveries again. Dee sleepwalked through her deliveries, trying to put what was left of her life back together, but having lost so many people she cared for made her never stay long enough at any stop to get attached.\n\nAfter almost two years spent in a mental haze, Dee took what seemed like a simple but lucrative job: $1000 to deliver a large platinum poker chip to the New Lumiose Strip in the Kalos Region Desert…\n",
