", "writing": "Lightning danced across the pitch black sky, illuminating the absolute darkness momentarily every time a thunderbolt appeared. Rain was pouring down with intense force, the strong winds being mostly responsible for it. It made the incessant fall of water seem like a curtain in its grasp. A quite majestic look in the dim light of the street lamps and other artificial sources. A true shame windows weren´t spared from being hit by the falling drops most of the time. It compromised the beautiful and ironically calm view of the raging storm. \n\nAt least… it was calming to the grey hedgehog that stood by the window with his arms crossed in front of his chest, staring almost mesmerized into the darkness on the other side of the glass. Silver always enjoyed watching the rain for some reason, even if said rain turned out to be a thunderstorm. While these in particular gave him a slightly weird feeling, the ivory hedgehog still found himself fascinated by the natural phenomenon. He lacked an explanation as to why exactly this was the case, but he guessed it wasn´t too important either. At the end of the day he simply enjoyed watching nature do its thing. He never thought a lot about it during the activity. Pointy ears picked up and twitched slightly at the faint rumbling of distant thunder. That in combination with the sound of the large water drops raining down onto the roof merged pleasantly together and added nicely to the relaxing atmosphere. It was funnily paradoxical; Silver had to admit considering it was a storm. \n\nYellow eyes were locked onto the darkened sky and followed the occasional bolts of light as they pave their way through the dense clouds. The room he currently remained in was barely lit, much like the streets outside. Silver didn´t mind. After all, it made it so much easier to witness the storm unfold even through the tarnished glass. Watching the day turn from the warm evening light into this cold raging night like state had something weirdly intriguing. Sure, it was just a thing nature did from time to time, but that was exactly it! Nature itself was simply fascinating. How it could change something so drastically in mere minutes… it was like two sides of a coin. And the fact that it also worked in reverse just made it the more unique and special. Maybe Silver was childish for thinking that way, but he didn´t care. Many took these simple things for granted, he noticed. But unlike them he somehow felt different about it and tried to cherish them when he had the time to do so. \n\nA bright flash pulled the young hero out of his thoughts. Golden eyes immediately followed the bolt of pure energy until it ended up connecting the two entities that were never meant to meet for just a moment. The point of impact was a good few miles away, but Silver could see it perfectly from where he stood. It took a few seconds but eventually the loud bang reached those sensitive ears and everything around him vibrated slightly under its influence. The loud noise gave the hedgehog an unsettling feeling in his stomach which he couldn´t explain but he also found himself unable to withdraw his eyes from the impressive display of nature’s power. Though as fast as the bolt of lightning occurred, the world was once again painted in near perfect black. Silver took a moment to take a deep breath through his nose. \n\n“This storm is getting pretty bad.” he stated calmly, a sharp contrast to the weather he was watching. “I hope no one is out right now. Or… at least has some kind of protection.” \n\nAt the sound of the ivory hedgehog’s voice, a pair of emerald green eyes rose from a book their holder had been lost in. With a small tilt of his head, Sonic took a moment to look at the other and think about what he said. Sonic had been so focused on his book, he didn´t even realized the rain started to get accompanied by lightning. After a quick glance outside, to get a better idea what Silver was talking about, he then shrugged as if the younger hedgehog was looking at him. “Don´t worry. No one would be out in this kind of weather.” He simply replied, watching as one of the light grey ears turned into his direction. A natural reaction of theirs but one he found extremely endearing. At least as long as it’s perceived on anyone but him. \n\nSilver had his head slightly turned with his ear when Sonic spoke up behind him, but brought it back into its original position as soon as the silence took over again. Exactly that moment another lightning bolt shot across the dark clouds. It, however, was tame compared to the giant before. The ghost of a frown appeared on the younger hedgehog’s face. “….what about Knuckles though? I hope he’s okay…”\n\nSonic set his book on the nightstand next to him when it was his ear’s turn to twitch at the sound of the words spoken. For just a moment he stared at the wall in front of him, only barely being able to hold back a snort, before making himself cozy on his bed once more. The amused expression stayed when he eyed the other hedgehog. His entertained smirk only grew with what he was about to say next. “Oh, I’m sure he’s fine, Silver. In fact, he’s probably greatly taken care of, if you know what I mean.”\n\nThe ivory time traveler blinked and raised a brow when he turned around with a questioning gaze. Yellow eyes lay upon the obviously amused face of the blue hedgehog until something started to click. He remembered a similar situation some time back. While he couldn´t recall just how exactly they came to talk about it, Sonic said something alike to his last remark. Silver showed far more confusion then and asked the older one what he was talking about. Not thinking much about it the blue hero’s immediate response was, that he referred to Shadow in regards to the echidna being ‘taken care of’, blindly assuming Silver already knew about it. When the younger hedgehog showed even more confusion at Shadow suddenly being in the picture, Sonic was taken aback. It took a second but when the blue hedgehog spoke up again, he asked Silver if he never noticed all those signs before. The subtle hints like them standing as close to each other as possible without seeming suspicious. Giving each other their fullest attention when the other was speaking and all those glances they took whenever they thought no one was watching. Just to name a few things. Sonic told him that he was convinced it was Angel Island to where the dark hedgehog always disappeared to when the weather got bad. Everyone noticed he vanished, but no one knew to where exactly. It was Silver’s turn to be surprised as he had no idea and didn´t really believe it at first. It seemed so… on the nose considering it was Shadow and Knuckles they were talking about. \n\nHowever; as time passed by Silver couldn´t deny he started to notice it as well. When he questioned Sonic how he knew, he simply said that he had more than enough experience from Amy’s constant affection towards him to know what certain stares and behaviors meant. His rivals weren´t as subtle as they liked to believe, including the ivory time traveler. The expression on Sonic’s face turned the smuggest Silver had ever seen on him when he voiced his knowledge without any sign of hesitation. Having not expected the exposure whatsoever, Silver’s face practically combusted into flames, which only stroke the hero’s ego even further. As if it needed that extra boost. While Sonic had the time of his life, Silver almost desperately tried to salvage the situation he’d been thrown into. It went on like that for a few minutes until the blue hedgehog decided he tortured the other enough and before the gray furred one even knew what was happening, Sonic shut him up with a firm kiss to the lips. Certainly Silver didn´t foresee that either and was stunned for a good while, something the cheeky blue hero found nothing but amusement in. \n\nThe end of the road down memory lane was met with a chuckle. Looking back on it Silver could only laugh at his own naivety. He really thought, he wasn´t that obvious about his fondness for the other hedgehog. But clearly he had underestimated how observant Sonic really is. When an air current made the rain fiercely splash against the glass separating it from the hedgehogs, Silver brought his attention back to the outside world. “Heh… I suppose you’re right.”\n\nThe room fell quiet once again, at least as quiet as it could be with the harsh wind, falling water and the occasional rumbling of thunder. Silver continued to peacefully watch the weather, while Sonic made himself more comfortable on his bed. As he lay on the side, he propped his head up with an arm and silently viewed the younger hedgehog for the longest time. Sitting still, however, wasn’t exactly Sonic’s strongest suit and soon enough he was bored of his current activity…or the lack therefore. How the grey hedgehog managed to stand still for long without getting bored or falling asleep was a mystery to Sonic. After all he did nothing except standing there motionlessly ever since the storm started… \n\nWith a sigh the blue hedgehog let his eyes wander up and down the back of Silver’s body, wondering how he could effectively get him away from where he seemed to be glued to. Eventually a thought occurred when those emerald orbs settled on a certain part of the time traveler’s backside. Slowly Sonic’s expression turned smug. Oh… he knew how. “Y’know, Silv… You don´t have to stand. There is plenty of room to watch the rain from here too.” He proposed and patted the free space next to him. He tilted his head with a smile and more or less patiently waited for a response. \n\nAgain an ivory coated ear turned back into his direction and just a moment later Silver’s head followed with a raised eyebrow. When he searched Sonic’s face, confusion spread at first but soon enough he understood. He knew what Sonic was trying to do. They had been together for too long for him to fall for the older hedgehog’s fake innocents. “Nah, I have a much better view from here.” He announced with an undertone of glee as soon as he directed his gaze back into the outside world, an amused grin coming to his face in the process.\n\nImmediately Sonic’s false demeanor dropped and a highly unamused expression came to grace his face instead. Dammit, he thought to himself. That certainly wasn´t the answer he wanted to hear. That bratty pout stayed for a good minute until steadily a cheeky smirk came to replace it. Oh, he wouldn´t give up that easily. If that invitation wasn´t enough to persuade Silver, he clearly needed a little more convincing. Sonic had no problem with that. So, with minimal effort he rolled himself over to swing his legs over the edge of his bed, using the speed of motion to swiftly stand up as well. Emerald eyes locked onto the other hedgehog as Sonic gradually made his way up to him. That smirk of his grew at the sight of Silver’s ears turning towards him again due to the sound of his steps. Their owner, on the other hand, didn´t do the same. \n\nAt least not until Sonic wrapped his arms under Silver’s own to place them on the front of his shoulders and captured him in a soft embrace. Loosening up his arm position to make it easier for Sonic to hug him, Silver finally turned his head to the side to get a look at what the blue one was planning. He was greeted with Sonic’s head leaning over his shoulder to shoot him a smile with half lidded eyes. A feeling of knowledge overcame the ivory hedgehog and it only grew stronger when Sonic pulled him closer to make his back press right against the peach furred chest. Before he could even say anything it was instantly followed by him nuzzling against Silver’s own fuzzy muzzle, little by little making his way to the fluff covered neck. He swore he heard Sonic quietly purr too. Slowly a faint blush was spreading on the psychokinetic’s cheeks. “Sonic…” he started, fully knowing the answer to the question he was about to ask. “What are you doing?”\n\nSonic’s face may be outside of his vision but he could clearly feel him grin against his neck. He already knew that Silver knew what he was trying to do. Though it didn´t seem like the time traveler held any real objections, seeing as he did little to nothing to stop the cheeky blue devil. Though as fast as the bolt of lightning occurred, the world was once again painted in near perfect black. Silver took a moment to take a deep breath through his nose.

“This storm is getting pretty bad.” he stated calmly, a sharp contrast to the weather he was watching. “I hope no one is out right now. Or… at least has some kind of protection.”

At the sound of the ivory hedgehog’s voice, a pair of emerald green eyes rose from a book their holder had been lost in. With a small tilt of his head, Sonic took a moment to look at the other and think about what he said. Sonic had been so focused on his book, he didn´t even realized the rain started to get accompanied by lightning. After a quick glance outside, to get a better idea what Silver was talking about, he then shrugged as if the younger hedgehog was looking at him. “Don´t worry. No one would be out in this kind of weather.” He simply replied, watching as one of the light grey ears turned into his direction. A natural reaction of theirs but one he found extremely endearing. At least as long as it’s perceived on anyone but him.

Silver had his head slightly turned with his ear when Sonic spoke up behind him, but brought it back into its original position as soon as the silence took over again. Exactly that moment another lightning bolt shot across the dark clouds. It, however, was tame compared to the giant before. The ghost of a frown appeared on the younger hedgehog’s face. “….what about Knuckles though? I hope he’s okay…”

Sonic set his book on the nightstand next to him when it was his ear’s turn to twitch at the sound of the words spoken. For just a moment he stared at the wall in front of him, only barely being able to hold back a snort, before making himself cozy on his bed once more. The amused expression stayed when he eyed the other hedgehog. His entertained smirk only grew with what he was about to say next. “Oh, I’m sure he’s fine, Silver. In fact, he’s probably greatly taken care of, if you know what I mean.”

The ivory time traveler blinked and raised a brow when he turned around with a questioning gaze. Yellow eyes lay upon the obviously amused face of the blue hedgehog until something started to click. He remembered a similar situation some time back. While he couldn´t recall just how exactly they came to talk about it, Sonic said something alike to his last remark. Silver showed far more confusion then and asked the older one what he was talking about. Not thinking much about it the blue hero’s immediate response was, that he referred to Shadow in regards to the echidna being ‘taken care of’, blindly assuming Silver already knew about it. When the younger hedgehog showed even more confusion at Shadow suddenly being in the picture, Sonic was taken aback. It took a second but when the blue hedgehog spoke up again, he asked Silver if he never noticed all those signs before. The subtle hints like them standing as close to each other as possible without seeming suspicious. Giving each other their fullest attention when the other was speaking and all those glances they took whenever they thought no one was watching. Just to name a few things. Sonic told him that he was convinced it was Angel Island to where the dark hedgehog always disappeared to when the weather got bad. Everyone noticed he vanished, but no one knew to where exactly. It was Silver’s turn to be surprised as he had no idea and didn´t really believe it at first. It seemed so… on the nose considering it was Shadow and Knuckles they were talking about.

However; as time passed by Silver couldn´t deny he started to notice it as well. When he questioned Sonic how he knew, he simply said that he had more than enough experience from Amy’s constant affection towards him to know what certain stares and behaviors meant. His rivals weren´t as subtle as they liked to believe, including the ivory time traveler. The expression on Sonic’s face turned the smuggest Silver had ever seen on him when he voiced his knowledge without any sign of hesitation. Having not expected the exposure whatsoever, Silver’s face practically combusted into flames, which only stroke the hero’s ego even further. As if it needed that extra boost. While Sonic had the time of his life, Silver almost desperately tried to salvage the situation he’d been thrown into. It went on like that for a few minutes until the blue hedgehog decided he tortured the other enough and before the gray furred one even knew what was happening, Sonic shut him up with a firm kiss to the lips. Certainly Silver didn´t foresee that either and was stunned for a good while, something the cheeky blue hero found nothing but amusement in.

The end of the road down memory lane was met with a chuckle. Looking back on it Silver could only laugh at his own naivety. He really thought, he wasn´t that obvious about his fondness for the other hedgehog. But clearly he had underestimated how observant Sonic really is. When an air current made the rain fiercely splash against the glass separating it from the hedgehogs, Silver brought his attention back to the outside world. “Heh… I suppose you’re right.”

The room fell quiet once again, at least as quiet as it could be with the harsh wind, falling water and the occasional rumbling of thunder. Silver continued to peacefully watch the weather, while Sonic made himself more comfortable on his bed. As he lay on the side, he propped his head up with an arm and silently viewed the younger hedgehog for the longest time. Sitting still, however, wasn’t exactly Sonic’s strongest suit and soon enough he was bored of his current activity…or the lack therefore. How the grey hedgehog managed to stand still for long without getting bored or falling asleep was a mystery to Sonic. After all he did nothing except standing there motionlessly ever since the storm started…

With a sigh the blue hedgehog let his eyes wander up and down the back of Silver’s body, wondering how he could effectively get him away from where he seemed to be glued to. Eventually a thought occurred when those emerald orbs settled on a certain part of the time traveler’s backside. Slowly Sonic’s expression turned smug. Oh… he knew how. “Y’know, Silv… You don´t have to stand. There is plenty of room to watch the rain from here too.” He proposed and patted the free space next to him. He tilted his head with a smile and more or less patiently waited for a response.

Again an ivory coated ear turned back into his direction and just a moment later Silver’s head followed with a raised eyebrow. When he searched Sonic’s face, confusion spread at first but soon enough he understood. He knew what Sonic was trying to do. They had been together for too long for him to fall for the older hedgehog’s fake innocents. “Nah, I have a much better view from here.” He announced with an undertone of glee as soon as he directed his gaze back into the outside world, an amused grin coming to his face in the process.

Immediately Sonic’s false demeanor dropped and a highly unamused expression came to grace his face instead. Dammit, he thought to himself. That certainly wasn´t the answer he wanted to hear. That bratty pout stayed for a good minute until steadily a cheeky smirk came to replace it. Oh, he wouldn´t give up that easily. If that invitation wasn´t enough to persuade Silver, he clearly needed a little more convincing. Sonic had no problem with that. So, with minimal effort he rolled himself over to swing his legs over the edge of his bed, using the speed of motion to swiftly stand up as well. Emerald eyes locked onto the other hedgehog as Sonic gradually made his way up to him. That smirk of his grew at the sight of Silver’s ears turning towards him again due to the sound of his steps. Their owner, on the other hand, didn´t do the same.

At least not until Sonic wrapped his arms under Silver’s own to place them on the front of his shoulders and captured him in a soft embrace. Loosening up his arm position to make it easier for Sonic to hug him, Silver finally turned his head to the side to get a look at what the blue one was planning. He was greeted with Sonic’s head leaning over his shoulder to shoot him a smile with half lidded eyes. A feeling of knowledge overcame the ivory hedgehog and it only grew stronger when Sonic pulled him closer to make his back press right against the peach furred chest. Before he could even say anything it was instantly followed by him nuzzling against Silver’s own fuzzy muzzle, little by little making his way to the fluff covered neck. He swore he heard Sonic quietly purr too. Slowly a faint blush was spreading on the psychokinetic’s cheeks. “Sonic…” he started, fully knowing the answer to the question he was about to ask. “What are you doing?”

Sonic’s face may be outside of his vision but he could clearly feel him grin against his neck. He already knew that Silver knew what he was trying to do. Though it didn´t seem like the time traveler held any real objections, seeing as he did little to nothing to stop the cheeky blue devil. Under the cover of distant thunder Sonic responded in a husky whisper. “Take a guess.” ", "pools_count": 3, "title": ".:SixS:.
