mention I was putting together an RPG Maker game (WITH EFFORT) about monstergirls?? That's why I've been a bit quiet the last two weeks. x)\n\nWell, not necessarily monstergirls. It's an [i]Elae Meltaea[/i] game, and Elysia has no humans to begin with, so some of these characters are actually normal people.\n\nThe nine party characters of The Verdant Isle are conveniently all female. Not a single ding-dong. (And no stupid self-insert random guy they all flock around.)\n\nAs the title says, these are very early drafts of the sprites - everyone except Thistle is going to have clothes (but will be able to take them off in the game), and they all generally need to be touched up on. Gwyndyr is especially tossed-together...\n\nSo! Here are them characters in order from left to right. (All details given subject to change later maybe!)\n\n\n\n[t][b]Elska[/b][/t]\n• Race: Pirel, Minotar [sic]\n• Weapons: Axe, Flask\n\nThe quartermaster of the Sea Princess, and the boss of the mostly-noble lady pirate crew whenever Captain Wyndia is not the boss. Elska isn't afraid to throw her weight around, and keeps the relatively petite rest of the crew in line usually by intimidating them with her enormous bust.\n\nWhen the Sea Princess docks at the Verdant Isle to look for resources, the captain insists on personally exploring the Isle, and goes missing. That leaves Elska as the director of all efforts to locate her.\n\n\n\n[t][b]Gladaka[/b][/t]\n• Race: Ferel, Goblin\n• Weapons: Steambow, Kit\n\nMost goblins are stupid, loud, and trouble-seeking. The smarter the goblin, the less loud and the less trouble - so Gladaka loves absolute peace and quiet, and has found a nice isolated cave somewhere on the Isle to settle her laboratory. (The explosions of jury-rigged machinery count as peace and quiet, by the by.)\n\nBeing a little bit scholarly and extraordinarily intellectually entitled, Gladaka has made the mysterious goings-on of the Isle her personal business.\n\n\n\n[t][b]Coco[/b][/t]\n• Race: Ferel, Kobold\n• Weapons: Mattock, ???\n\nKobolds are childish and playful creatures who spend most of their time getting dirty in caves and quarries, causing them to frequently come to odds with other such squatters. Some kobolds discover a related but distinct passion through digging - in Coco's case, archaeology and gardening.\n\nCoco seems airheaded and ditzy, but she is the only non-goblin character who can speak the goblin tongue, allowing her to get along well with Gladaka. She is a Good Girl and, while she might not understand just how serious the recent incidents on the Isle are, the principle of barking at bad guys until they stop being bad and clawing the hell out of them if they persist still applies.\n\nBut on a clear night...\n\n\n\n[t][b]Edelweiss[/b][/t]\n• Race: Ferel, Elytra\n• Weapons: Daggers, Parasol\n\nThe Kyria are a secretive race of bug-people with a caste system that is divided primarily by kingdom, rather than by roles within a single \"hive\". Edelweiss is the queen of the Elytra, the smallest of the six or seven kingdoms, and holds her people to an extremely high standard of elegance and subterfuge; she is considerably more fashionable than her kin.\n\nThe queens of the Isle's hives are sisters, and while they have drifted apart and often have petty squabbles, recently they have become abruptly and uncharacteristically hostile. Edelweiss is twice wise to conspiracy - both in committing and exposing them - and so it is only natural for her to connect this anomaly to the dilapidation of the Isle, consequently searching for whatever puppetmaster may be responsible.\n\n\n\n[t][b]Amara[/b][/t]\n• Race: Ferel, Lamia\n• Weapons: Bracelets, Broomstick\n\nThe Goddess of Strife and Chaos, Eris, has many followers. Though one may suspect the lot to be mad anarchists, Amara believes that chaos cannot exist without an order for it to spite. Her cult respects chaos with a healthy level of fear, and seeks to keep it moderated, not unleashed wildly.\n\nThese witches can easily recognize when some grand force is assaulting the balance of nature, and through their traditions and divinations, have decided to set the task of correcting this to Amara.\n\n\n\n[t][b]Gwyndyr[/b][/t]\n• Race: Pirel, Freesian..?\n• Weapons: Tome, Jewel\n\nNo one knows when this strange woman came to the Isle. She keeps to herself at the frosty peaks, and comes down time to time to gather food and resources. She even seldomly visits the local villages, though she has become a folk legend among them like a boogeywoman and is very shy.\n\nLegends say that when evil comes to the isle, a great roar sounds from the mountains and a dragon flies forth, belching ice and blizzard, freezing all the devils where they stand. Hello dreamers!!

(And perverts...)

Did I mention I was putting together an RPG Maker game (WITH EFFORT) about monstergirls?? That's why I've been a bit quiet the last two weeks. x)

Well, not necessarily monstergirls. It's an Elae Meltaea game, and Elysia has no humans to begin with, so some of these characters are actually normal people.

The nine party characters of The Verdant Isle are conveniently all female. Not a single ding-dong. (And no stupid self-insert random guy they all flock around.)

As the title says, these are very early drafts of the sprites - everyone except Thistle is going to have clothes (but will be able to take them off in the game), and they all generally need to be touched up on. Gwyndyr is especially tossed-together...

So! Here are them characters in order from left to right. (All details given subject to change later maybe!)



Elska
• Race: Pirel, Minotar [sic]
• Weapons: Axe, Flask

The quartermaster of the Sea Princess, and the boss of the mostly-noble lady pirate crew whenever Captain Wyndia is not the boss. Elska isn't afraid to throw her weight around, and keeps the relatively petite rest of the crew in line usually by intimidating them with her enormous bust.

When the Sea Princess docks at the Verdant Isle to look for resources, the captain insists on personally exploring the Isle, and goes missing. That leaves Elska as the director of all efforts to locate her.



Gladaka
• Race: Ferel, Goblin
• Weapons: Steambow, Kit

Most goblins are stupid, loud, and trouble-seeking. The smarter the goblin, the less loud and the less trouble - so Gladaka loves absolute peace and quiet, and has found a nice isolated cave somewhere on the Isle to settle her laboratory. (The explosions of jury-rigged machinery count as peace and quiet, by the by.)

Being a little bit scholarly and extraordinarily intellectually entitled, Gladaka has made the mysterious goings-on of the Isle her personal business.



Coco
• Race: Ferel, Kobold
• Weapons: Mattock, ???

Kobolds are childish and playful creatures who spend most of their time getting dirty in caves and quarries, causing them to frequently come to odds with other such squatters. Some kobolds discover a related but distinct passion through digging - in Coco's case, archaeology and gardening.

Coco seems airheaded and ditzy, but she is the only non-goblin character who can speak the goblin tongue, allowing her to get along well with Gladaka. She is a Good Girl and, while she might not understand just how serious the recent incidents on the Isle are, the principle of barking at bad guys until they stop being bad and clawing the hell out of them if they persist still applies.

But on a clear night...



Edelweiss
• Race: Ferel, Elytra
• Weapons: Daggers, Parasol

The Kyria are a secretive race of bug-people with a caste system that is divided primarily by kingdom, rather than by roles within a single "hive". Edelweiss is the queen of the Elytra, the smallest of the six or seven kingdoms, and holds her people to an extremely high standard of elegance and subterfuge; she is considerably more fashionable than her kin.

The queens of the Isle's hives are sisters, and while they have drifted apart and often have petty squabbles, recently they have become abruptly and uncharacteristically hostile. Edelweiss is twice wise to conspiracy - both in committing and exposing them - and so it is only natural for her to connect this anomaly to the dilapidation of the Isle, consequently searching for whatever puppetmaster may be responsible.



Amara
• Race: Ferel, Lamia
• Weapons: Bracelets, Broomstick

The Goddess of Strife and Chaos, Eris, has many followers. Though one may suspect the lot to be mad anarchists, Amara believes that chaos cannot exist without an order for it to spite. Her cult respects chaos with a healthy level of fear, and seeks to keep it moderated, not unleashed wildly.

These witches can easily recognize when some grand force is assaulting the balance of nature, and through their traditions and divinations, have decided to set the task of correcting this to Amara.



Gwyndyr
• Race: Pirel, Freesian..?
• Weapons: Tome, Jewel

No one knows when this strange woman came to the Isle. She keeps to herself at the frosty peaks, and comes down time to time to gather food and resources. She even seldomly visits the local villages, though she has become a folk legend among them like a boogeywoman and is very shy.

Legends say that when evil comes to the isle, a great roar sounds from the mountains and a dragon flies forth, belching ice and blizzard, freezing all the devils where they stand. And wouldn't you know, as monsters spring up about the Isle and the grass withers, down comes the stranger from the mountaintops...



Malika
• Race: Ferel, Lizaran
