It was the same sensation that had woken her up time and time again these past couple of nights; the feeling of her babies being very, very active.\n\nShe blinked awake, taking stock of her surroundings. The curtains were drawn, but thin greying light was trickling its way into the bedroom. She could see without swapping on the lights; it was a touch earlier than she was used to, but she might as well get up. Another squirm in her tummy made her grumble. It wasn’t like her babies were going to let her get much sleep anyways.\n\nThe white-furred mouse anthro stretched, the strain of her muscles aching feeling both pleasant and tight. She blinked blearily, stifling a yawn. Her babies had been so squirmy at night lately, it had been hard for her to get any sleep; she’d been woken four times the past evening alone. She settled a hand on her tummy, murmuring a pleasant, wordless prayer as she inadvertently teased one of the sensitive nipples that budded down her tummy. As a mouse anthro, she had a whole line of teats; and while only her topmost ones plumped with milk like a human’s breasts, the rest of them were still sore and tender as her pregnancy neared its end.\n\nShe stroked her tummy absently, hoping to calm the little ones within. It didn’t work, though she fancied she felt a playful squirming nudge push out against her movement.
