Sound Effect: Uhn-Hunt Caption: Edited by Ace Allen Panel 5 Scene: The doors tighten again. The camera has pulled out far enough that we can see the silver framing around the elevator, the filthy grey floors of the basement level of Sayvette, the cinder-block walls in which the elevator is embedded. Sound Effect: Uhn-Hunt Issue 4, Page 1 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon dressed in a pair of blue coveralls standing in the maintenance room, loading his cleaning cart with toilet paper. Someone has entered into the room with him and he's glancing over his shoulder to see who is there. Feldon (FL): ? Panel 2 Scene: A large female feline with long blond hair is standing in the doorway. Dressed far too nicely to be in this filthy place, she is wearing a tight cream coloured knit sweater over-top of a white blouse, which shows off her ample bosom. This is Feldon's boss, her name-tag declares her to be 'Anne'. Anne (AN): “Feldon, a word with you.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon putting down the toilet paper he was stacking and stands up, giving her his full attention. FL: “Of course, what's up?” AN: “A position has opened up on the night crew, there is a night-shift premium of a dollar more. Would you be interested?” FL: “Is it only for the summer? I'm heading back to school in the fall.” Panel 4 Scene: Anne is nodding. AN: “You can return to this position at the end of August if you'd like.” FL: “When would I start?” AN: “12am next Monday.” Issue 4, Page 2 Panel 1 Scene: Outside on the patio of Atsu's Home for Boys. Feldon is standing behind Lotion's sun-chair as the rabbit sun bathes wearing only a pair of red short-shorts and sunglasses. Lotion looks rather horrified at the news that Feldon has brought him. Lotion (LO): “You are going to be working nights? Are you crazy? You'll never see the sun again!” FL: “It's only for the summer and I'd see it in the morning silly. Besides, I'm not one to sunbathe in it.” Panel 2 Scene: Lotion settles into his chair once more with a huge grin on his face. Sunglasses pointed straight at the sun above. LO: “I don't understand why not. The warmth of the sun just sets my whole body on a tingle. Its glorious.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon grinning. FL: “I'll take your word for it.” Panel 3 Scene: A table at a bar, around it having a drink are Genichi Atsu and two of his friends from the police force; Yoshi Kitsune, a fox and Alain Lor, a skunk. They each have a mug in front of them and are reminiscing about their younger days. Caption: Meanwhile. Yoshi (YK): “Hahaha, and then you fell into all those bulrushes and almost shot your tail off!” Genichi (GA): “Yeah, and then they handed me a gun a few years later and said, 'You're an officer now!'” Alain (AL): “I don't know why you didn't stick with it Gen. You were a good cop.” Issue 4, Page 3 Panel 1 Scene: Genichi, with a huge smile on his face, lifting a mug toward his mouth. GA: “Ahhh! But not a great cop.” Panel 2 Scene: Yoshi looking somewhat pitying toward his friend. His mug of beer is lifted almost to his mouth. YK: “We all have our losses Gen. There was nothing that you could possibly have done for that boy. And the stuff you did do was far and above the call of duty.” Panel 3 Scene: Alain raises a mug to this sentiment, but tries to steer the conversation in newer and better directions. AL: “Cheers to that. Have you spoken with your mysterious benefactor lately?” GA: “No. He donates the money and generally just lets me be. Speaking of mysteries, I have one that I'd like you guys to look into.” Panel 4 Scene: Both Yoshi and Alain's attention are captured by this and they lean in closer with their mugs down, expectant expressions on their faces. GA: “It's about that Sayvette's department store. Ever hear of any violent crime being committed there?” YK: “Don't recall any.” AL: “Far as I know the only crime there are the queers cruising in the bathroom. What brings this up?” Issue 4, Page 4 Panel 1 Scene: Genichi shrugging. GA: “One of the boys brought it up. He works there, says that he 'sensed' something or saw a ghost. Wanted me to ask if anything had happened there.” AL: “It wasn't that Hart boy was it?” GA: “No. However Hartnell has opened my eyes to some of these... odder aspects of reality. The things he says tend to come true.” Panel 2 Scene: Yoshi cutting Alain off before the skunk can say anything further about Genichi's ward. With a nudge to Alain's ribs, Yoshi continues. YK: “I'm sure that I can ask around at the station, see what I can find out.” GA: “Not a priority Yosh. There are bigger and better things to be looking into.” YK: “I'm sure I'll squeeze it in somewhere. Cantertown isn't known for its high crime rates.” Issue 4, Page 5 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon 'waking up' at 11:00pm to start his new shift. The squirrel is in his bed at Atsu's Home, rumpled sheets and the like, wearing plaid pyjama bottoms and no top. He is in mid-stretch, yawning and grumblings at the clock radio that is playing Comfortably Numb. Panel 2 Scene: Feldon passing by Lotion who is sitting in the dark and watching television, bathed in harsh blue light and heavy shadows. The rabbit looks over his shoulder at the passing squirrel and smirks. LO: “You're going to regret this.” FL: “Grumble.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon eating some leftover pizza before heading to work. He stands at the island in the middle of the kitchen and eats the slices cold, while the kettle boils. Panel 4 Scene: Feldon is drinking his tea and is eating his pizza at the counter. We see Lotion sheepishly peek through the doorway that divides the kitchen from the living room. LO: “Good luck tonight Feldon.” FL: “Thanks Lotion. And you're right, I may end up regretting this.” Panel 5 Scene: Lotion gives Feldon a hug and a kiss. LO: “We'll meet back up for breakfast.” FL: “No fraternizing Lotion.” LO: “Gen's not here. He's out with friends.” Issue 4, Page 6 Panel 1 Scene: Aerial shot of the Sayvette department store. The building is retro-sixties brick and concrete, two stories tall, a large glass sign in red and white declares 'Sayvette', beneath which are a row of glass doors. A vast parking lot stands mostly empty with a few cars parked in the farthest lot, the night crew that has come to work. Several large lamp posts stand as sentinels, crowned with four lamps each, pointing in all the cardinal directions. Caption: July 13th 1992 Panel 2 Scene: As Feldon passes one of these lamp posts he spies the identification number on one, stamped into a tin tag which reads 1H4H. FL: To himself-- “I Have 4 Heads.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon enters through the glass doors into the empty department store, and into a ring of half a dozen other employees, one of whom is Riddle—who smiles broadly at the squirrel. Riddle (RD): “Ha, so Anne roped you into this job too did she?” FL: “I thought I'd try it out.” RD: “That's the spirit! Now we need to attend our daily brainwashing session before we get our assignments.” Panel 4 Scene: The half dozen night workers gather in a circle by the cash registers. Feldon, Riddle, a fat, older panther called Joe, a raccoon with a mow-hawk named Mike, a husky named Marcus and a dark-furred, long-haired, older vixen called Juanita. They are soon joined by ferret, whip-straight in posture, with curly head hair and a mean look in his eyes. This is the duty manager Jerrod. He is carrying a clip board, taking attendance. Jerrod (JD): “Alright, let's get this dance over with so we can get to work.” Issue 4, Page 7 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon leaning over to Riddle, whispering. FL: “Dance?” RD: “You'll see.” Panel 2 Scene: The group of them clapping as Jerrod does the 'opening chant'. JD: Singing-- “Say what?” All: “Sayvette!” JD: “Say what?” All: “Sayvette!” JD: “Who's number one?” All: “The customer.” Panel 3 Scene: Jerrod checks out his clipboard. JD: “Joe and Marcus, you two are receiving. Juanita you are housewares, jewelry and lady's wear. Mike you are automotive, men's wear. Riddle, entertainment and stationary and chemical. Feldon you are on toys, fabric and sporting goods. Get to work.” Issue 4, Page 8 Panel 1 Scene: Everyone heads to their sections. Jerrod still holding the clipboard is smirking as he looks at Feldon wandering off. JD: Thinking-- What a fruit. Panel 2 Scene: Feldon glancing over his shoulder toward Jerrod. Feldon's expression is one of annoyance, as if having heard what Jerrod was thinking. JD: “You there, Feldon. A word.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon stopping and waiting to hear what Jerrod had to say. Jerrod's expression should be one of malicious intent. FL: ? JD: “The first thing that I need you to do is put away the bicycles in back. There is a scissor lift that Joe will show you how to use. The bikes get hung from the ceiling when not on the sale's floor.” FL: “Uh—okay.” Panel 4 Scene: Feldon heading for the stairwell in the back. This area is cluttered with merchandize that is being sent to storage, stored in shopping carts until then. The stair leads down, concrete steps, a thick metal handrail. Feldon has one hand on this and is pausing, glancing over at the elevator. The elevator continues its strange activity of opening and closing its doors just a smidgen. Feldon's expression is one of concern and fear. Sound Effect: From elevator Uhn—Huhn... Uhn—Huhn Issue 4, Page 9 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon approaching Joe, who is sitting by the dock doors about to have a cigarette while waiting for the truck. Marcus is busying himself with tossing cardboard into the compactor. FL: “Jerrod asked me to hang bikes from the ceiling using the scissor lift.” Joe: Eyeing the squirrel-- “That prick. Figures that he'd put you up to that task. C'mon then.” Panels 2-4 Scene: Joe showing Feldon what he has to do. Panel 2 shows the panther on the scissor lift with a bike beside him. Panel 3 shows Joe hefting a bike vertically while raised toward the ceiling with the scissor lift. Panel 4, the front tire of the bike is hooked over a large hook in the ceiling and suspended. Panel 4 Joe: “And there you have it.” FL: “Is Jerrod nuts? Do I look like I can lift a bike vertically like that?” Panel 5 Scene: Joe lowers himself down with the lift and regards Feldon with a sort of pity. Joe: “No. He's a prick. He saw you, judged you and has set a task that you can't possibly do, just to see your reaction. He's an asshole. You go on the dock and have Marcus show you how to unload a truck. I'll handle this shit.” Panel 6 Scene: Feldon nodding at the panther with a smile. FL: “Thanks Joe.” Joe: “Don't mention it. Really don't. Jerrod will get us all in shit for this.” Issue 4, Page 10 Panel 1 Scene: Basement level, Riddle is wheeling a pump-truck with a skid full of televisions on it. (This is the 90's remember. Televisions were huge, heavy and clunky.) The possum is waiting at the elevator with his load. Caption: Meanwhile Panel 2 Scene: The doors to the elevator open and the light within is intense, seeming to beam out of the elevator and bathe Riddle in it's light. The possum actually raises a hand to shield his eyes. Panel 3 Scene: A shot of the interior of the elevator, brightly lit, orange and blue walls. A faint tracing of something monstrous within, vaguely horse-like. Panel 4 Scene: Riddle wheels the pump-trunk into the elevator, noticing nothing out of the ordinary. Panel 5 Scene: Pulled back shot showing the whole elevator and the doors closing on Riddle. Sound Effect: Uhn—Huhn Panel 6 Scene: Break Room, lunch time (4:00 am) everyone (except Jerrod) is sitting around the tables chatting it up. Most have bagged lunches, one or two have McDs. Feldon is reading the World Weekly News and the raccoon Mike has a ream of paper in front of him and a pencil in hand. Looking over Mike's shoulder is Marcus with a snide look on his face. Caption: Later Marcus: “Well look at the future Stephen King hard at work on his book? When are you getting published Mikey-boy.” Mike: “I actually am in talks right now. Gonna get my ass out of this shit-hole.” Issue 4, Page 11 Panel 1 Scene: Marcus snatching at several of the manuscript pages that Mike has been working on. Mike in turn appears to want to snatch them right back. The sheets of paper are getting quite crumpled in the meantime. Marcus begins to read. Marcus: “...Police were coming in, beating the wooden door so hard that it leaped in it's frame work, but the lock held. Donald turns the page, he had to know how it all ended...” Mike: “Give it back you piece of shit!” Panel 2 Scene: Now Joe and Riddle are getting in on the fight, with Joe coming between the two boys and Riddle getting Marcus into a headlock. Joe: “Now you two stop this. Marcus give him back his work.” Panel 3 Scene: Cut to an image of the elevator, opening its doors in the basement of the department store. Bright light spills into the general gloom amongst all the skids of product. Sound Effect: Uhn-Huhn—Ding! Panel 4 Scene: As the others argue in the background and untangle themselves, Feldon looks off as if sensing something. His eyes have shifted to a green colour. Marcus: Background-- “It was just a fucking joke.” Panel 5 Scene: The elevator, still wide open, faint tracings of the something that resides there; two massive hands grip the walls on either side of the elevator. Eyes stare out of the vaguely horse-shaped figure in the light. Issue 4, Page 12 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon staring off blankly as lunch finishes and everyone stops arguing. Riddle is tapping Feldon on the shoulder. RD: “Earth to Feldon, come in Feldon.” FL: “Hm? Oh, sorry. Thought I heard something.” Panel 2 Scene: Riddle and Feldon leaving the lunchroom. RD: “You were a thousand miles away for a moment.” FL: “I wish I was.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon in the toy section, facing product, straightening things up. Racks behind him filled with carded figures: TMNT, Skeleton Warriors, GI Joe etc. Panel 4 Scene: Feldon piling up empty wooden pallets upon the pallet jack. It is hard and dirty work and his work outfit is covered in filth. This being done in the toy department. Panel 5 Scene: Feldon wheeling the pile of empty pallets to the back room toward the elevator. Sound Effect: From the elevator-- Uhn—Huhn... Panel 6 Scene: The elevator opens it's doors without Feldon having pushed the button. The squirrel is bathed in the intense light from within. His expression blank as he gazes into that light. Issue 4, Page 13 Panel 1 Scene: Elevator towering above Feldon's head. The vague shape within appears to be reaching out for Feldon. Panel 2 Scene: Feldon snapping out of his revery and backing away from the elevator. Fear in his eyes, mouth contorted in horror. FL: “No!” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon bursting out of the back room and stumbling into the store proper. The commotion attracts the attention of both Riddle and Jerrod, who come over to investigate. Panel 4 Scene: Feldon trying to catch his breath while Riddle stands beside him, hand on Feldon's shoulder. Jerrod looms in the background, angry with the situation. RD: “Feldon are you alright?” JD: “Both of you get back to work!” Panel 5 Scene: Riddle turning on Jerrod angrily. RD: “Jerrod, do you not see that Feldon is upset about something.” JD: “Yeah, work. He's been goofing off all night, getting others to do his job for him. Don't think that I don't know that you got Joe to do those bikes. Don't think that I'm not writing up a report for Anne. I've no time for a little queer like you.” Issue 4, Page 14 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon's eyes flash bright green, glaring at the weasel, teeth gritted in rage. Everything in the background is coloured bright green as well. FL: Growling-- “Piss yourself.” Panel 2 Scene: Jerrod looking embarrassed as he let's loose in his pants. Riddle is smirking as he notices that spreading dark spot in Jerrod's pants. Panel 3 Scene: Jerrod skulking off as Riddle laughs uproariously at the manager. Feldon is pinching the bridge of his nose, ashamed at what he has just done. Panel 4 Scene: The backroom, the elevator doors open. Low laughter comes out of it's empty space. Sound Effect: Ding! Panel 5 Scene: Riddle following Feldon into the backroom, where the elevator still stands open. RD: “So what happened?” FL: Shaking his head-- “I... thought I saw something.” Panel 6 Scene: Feldon looks at the elevator thoughtfully. There doesn't appear to be anything in there. Panel 7 Scene: Feldon pushes the pallet jack loaded with skids into the elevator and pushes the button without climbing in. FL: “It's nothing. An overreaction.” Issue 4, Page 15 Panel 1 Scene: The elevator doors close on the pallet jack and the empty skids. Feldon opts to take the stairs down and meet the elevator in the basement. He is still very visibly upset by everything that has happened. Panel 2 Scene: The elevator opens its doors in the basement and Feldon is there waiting to pull the equipment off. He cautiously reaches into the elevator to grasp the handle of the pallet jack. Panel 3 Scene: Feldon wheeling away the pallet jack from the elevator. Something has caught his attention though, because although his back is turned to the elevator, his eyes are looking in it's direction. FL: “No. I've already handled things my way. I don't need your help.” Panel 4 Scene: The elevator doors close. Sound Effect: DING!! Panel 5 Scene: The sun rising over the department store and parking lot. There are already customers pulling up in front of the store as the night crew are leaving. Panel 6 Scene: Feldon heading toward the glass doors that will lead him out of the store. He is stopped by Anne, who has a look of concern on her face and a sheet of paper in her hand. Anne: “Feldon, may I speak with you a moment?” FL: “Yes, what can I do for you?” Anne: “You can explain to me why Jerrod has decided to put a formal reprimand onto your file.” Issue 4, Page 16 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon glowering at the supervisor. FL: Thinking-- Because he's an asshole. FL: “There were a couple of jobs that I was physically incapable of doing. One of the others volunteered to help me.” Panel 2 Scene: The same. Anne: “Is there anything else?” FL: Thinking-- You've set me up. You knew that I'd get under his skin. Anne: Confiding-- “Feldon, Jerrod has been causing a lot of trouble lately and if people would come forward something could be done about it.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon wandering off, hand raised in a wave toward the cat. FL: “Sorry Anne, there just isn't that much to tell. I'm tired now, I just want to sleep.” Panel 4 Scene: Aerial shot of Atsu's Home for Boys. Panel 5 Scene: Feldon entering into the foyer. Angrily taking off his shoes. A voice from upstairs calls down to him. LO: “Is that you Feldon?” FL: “Yeah.” Issue 4, Page 17 Panel 1 Scene: Lotion descends the stairs to meet Feldon. By the sound of the squirrel's voice and the look, Lotion can tell that he is very upset. And Feldon should look the part, wearing a big frown upon his face, eyes tired and angry. LO: “I told ya you shouldn't have taken that job.” Panel 2 Scene: Before Feldon can protest the rabbit has him in a loving embrace, hugging away all the frustrations of the work day. LO: “Are you alright?” FL: “I will be. Thank you Lotion.” Panel 3 Scene: Lotion leads Feldon up the stairs. LO: “Come, let me tuck you in, you must be tired.” FL: “I don't think that Genichi would approve.” LO: “It's a good thing that he is out then.” Panel 4 Scene: Feldon in bed, covers pulled up to his chin. Lotion kneeling beside the bed giving him a peck on the forehead. FL: “Tell me a story bunny.” LO: “There once was a naughty squirrel who didn't listen to the sexy rabbits in his life, so one day one of those rabbits took him over his knee and spanked that squirrel's ass. And the squirrel liked that spanking so much that he resolved to do something naughty each day to ensure the rabbits would drop his pants and spank that ass.” Issue 4, Page 18 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon settles comfortably in his bed and smiles at Lotion. FL: “You tell the best stories bun.” Panel 2 Scene: Lotion looking down at Feldon with warmth. LO: “Have a nap, I'll see you at lunch.” Panel 3 Scene: A police station. We find Yoshi Kitsune putting away the last of his reports that he has had to fill out. Caption: Elsewhere. Panel 4 Scene: Yoshi searching through a large filing cabinet at old case files. He pulls out a large folder marked Sayvette and begins to flip through it. Mostly its theft reports with the occasional assault charge. Panel 5 Scene: Yoshi goes into a backroom filled with cardboard filing boxes to continue the search. YK: Looking at a report-- “Well now, that is odd.” Panel 6 Scene: A long, sparse hallway. Sterile, clean. Yoshi's footfalls echo in loud clicks on the tiled floor. A sign above a pair of doors states 'Morgue, Authorized Personnel Only'. His footfalls attract the attention of a white furred feline with long red hair. Sound Effect: Yoshi's footfalls-- Click, Click, Click... Issue 4, Page 19 Panel 1 Scene: The same as above, Yoshi approaches the feline. YK: “Raya, do you have a moment?” Raya (RS): “Its a little dead in here today, what can I do for you?” Panel 2 Scene: Yoshi suddenly appears uncomfortable as he pulls out a sheet of paper scribbled with his own notes. YK: “Its been a slow day, so I've had time to look into other cases. Genichi brought to my attention something that might be up your alley—Ever hear of anything weird happening at Sayvette's? Paranormal I mean?” Panel 3 Scene: Raya seems genuinely curious, but allows the fox to continue. YK: “I did some digging and didn't find much, except for a report of a child alone, wandering about the loading dock. Child was reported to be about three years of age, yet no child was found, no child reported missing. A note was made about one of the dock workers saying 'Just Charlie' when asked further about that he mentioned it was the local ghost.” Panel 4 Scene: Raya nods. RS: “A little bit of local folklore. Ever heard about the Callum farmstead 1906?” YK: Shakes head. Issue 4, Page 20 Panel 1 Scene: Raya wagging her finger at Yoshi with a playful smirk. As she tells the story images from the story should make up the background either in sepia tones or grey tones. RS: “A shame Mr. Fox, you should learn your local history. The Callum farm was the scene of a grisly murder of a milkmaid. Evidently Mr. Callum liked them young but did not take into account that HE was getting older. He got one of the girls pregnant, forced an abortion and then later when he tried to have her again, she struggled and in the ensuing struggle she hit her head on the fireplace lintel and was dead. “Mrs. Callum instead of helping her husband, turned the dirty bugger in and left the farm. Old Callum spent a week in prison before it killed him. The farm thereafter was reputed to be cursed and haunted by the milkmaid and her son, who started appearing around the place in the form of a toddler. In any case, the farmland was sold for cheap about thirty years ago and the mall built on top of it—made something of a stir with the locals.” Panel 2 Scene: Raya tilts her head at the fox, playfully, a smirk on her face. Yoshi is trying to be remain nonchalant, professional. RS: “So why the sudden interest?” YK: “Research for Genichi. One of his boys reported something—though hasn't said what. The boy works at the Sayvette.” Panel 3 Scene: Raya smirking as if she knows something. RS: “You don't say.” Panel 4 Scene: Yoshi heading back down the sterile hallway, hand raised in a wave to Raya. The feline raises a hand in return. YK: “Talk to you later Ray.” RS: “Later Yoshi.” Issue 4, Page 21 Panel 1 Scene: Raya Stenner picks up the receiver of a black phone on her desk, it's an old rotary phone and she is dialing a number on it. Her face has taken on an air of amusement. Panel 2 Scene: Raya speaking with someone on the phone. Phone: “Hello?” RS: “Hello Jack, it's Raya calling.” Panel 3 Scene: Heavy shadows or a silhouette of Raya leaning on her desk speaking on the phone. RS: “Just got a visit from Yoshi concerning what sounds like your protege that works at the Sayvette. Yoshi was asking about paranormal experiences that have happened at the mall.” Lord Jackal (LJ): “Not surprising. Feldon is a highly receptive individual. I'd say that he is equal to or even surpasses your own talents.” RS: “I do not doubt it, I've sensed a strong psychic pull lately. Thought I'd give you a heads up just the same.” LJ: “Thank you Ray, I can always count on you.” Panel 4 Scene: Lord Jackal sitting back in a comfortable wing-back chair after hanging up the phone. He sips on a cup of coffee and ponders this turn of events. LJ: Thinking-- Now what is stirring at Sayvette's? Issue 4, Page 22 Panel 1 Scene: Feldon sleeping away the morning, bright yellow light streams in through the window, a wonderful summer breeze plays with the curtains. Panel 2 Scene: Mid-afternoon and the sunlight has shifted. Feldon wakes up groggy and annoyed. Panel 3 Scene: A gust of cold wind blows into the window, billowing out the curtains and blowing across Feldon's fur. This seems to cheer up the squirrel considerably. FL: Thinking-- Oooh, nice cool breeze, is that a storm on the winds? Panel 4 Scene: Feldon coming down the stairs and passing by Lotion who is sitting on the couch and watching television. The rabbit smiles at the squirrel. LO: “Good afternoon sleepy-head.” Panel 5 Scene: Feldon giving Lotion a kiss between the ears. FL: “Good morning.” Panel 6 Scene: Lotion grinning at the squirrel as Feldon heads toward the kitchen. LO: “What was that for?” FL: “Storm on the way; makes me horny, and you are looking awfully good to me.” Issue 4, Page 23 Panel 1 Scene: The front doors of Sayvette. Customers are walking in and out, while Mike stands there looking up at the gathering clouds in the sky. He has a sour look on his face. Panel 2 Scene: Mike enters into Sayvette and runs into Anne, who smirks at him. Anne: “You know that you don't start your shift for another seven hours right?” Mike: “I can never get enough of this place Anne. I left part of my manuscript downstairs, I need it.” Anne: “Of course.” Panel 3 Scene: Mike enters the backroom and is about to take the stairs when the elevator sounds and the doors open. There is no one inside. Sound Effect: Ding! Panel 4 Scene: With a shrug Mike steps into the elevator and the doors close. Panel 5 Scene: As Mike stands there heading down to the basement level, he begins to hear a voice deep within his brain. Voice: Its not there you know. Marcus stole it. Panel 6 Scene: The doors open, Mike has a sneer on his face. Issue 4, Page 24 Panel 1 Caption: Meanwhile. Scene: Feldon and Lotion stand at the large window in the living room watching the steel grey sky. Feldon is smiling as the first couple drops of rain hit the pane of glass. Lotion is not so pleased. LO: “I wish the sun were out. You missed out yesterday.” Panel 2 Scene: Feldon grasps Lotion's hand and places it against his chest. FL: “Sometimes when I am out in the sun, my entire body tingles as if the suns energy and light are renewing it. It's the same feeling I get when a cute guy touches me. I feel that same rush of energy flow from the core and outward through my skin. So, as long as I know you are here, I can do without the sun.” LO: “It merely proves that we need the sun just as much as we need to feel loved. To have that human contact.” Panel 3 Scene: Feldon kisses the hand that he has been holding against his chest. FL: “Wise words my friend. Ones that I will take to heart.” Panel 4 Scene: A low rumble of thunder draws the attention of Feldon and Lotion to the window once again. Sound Effect: Rumble....
