Kyle and Colin were more or less simply informed on what their roles in everything we going to be. In the wedding, the two were slated to both be ring bearers with the two carrying their respective parent’s rings. They were also to participate in a unity ceremony as a symbol to combine the two families as one.\n\nAfter they finished the lunch, the boys went with Raymond to Kyle’s house to start getting everything prepared. They cleaned up the house as well as the spare bedroom and helped set up the stuff for the newborns when they arrived. As they started to finish up, Kyle asked if Colin could stay over at their house for the night, but Kyle’s dad had other plans. He suggested they go to Colin’s house so that they could spend time with Colin’s mom as well as with each other. After permission was granted, the two boys ran to Kyle’s room to get his stuff ready.\n\nMeanwhile, Kyle’s dad slipped off to his room and closed the door. Walking into the bathroom for even more privacy, Raymond quickly pulled out his phone and started to dial a number. After a few short rings, he was greeted by a simple ‘Hello’ before he had the chance to talk. “Hey, it’s Ray… Can you come over here later? No, the two boys are going over to his mom’s house… I just really need to talk to you… Great, see you in about fifteen minutes. If I’m still over there, just see yourself in, okay? The boys smiled to each other as they already knew what she was bringing out. It was the same thing she had made for quite some time on the night they got back.\n\nWalking out with a large covered pan, she set it on the table and pulled off the cover. Inside was the cheesiest macaroni and cheese that you have ever seen. Covered with a thick, bread crumb coating, it was her famous Baked Mac and Cheese. The boys cheered as they saw it, always happy to see the wonderful food that she had made. Colin didn’t like going to restaurants because he loved his mom’s cooking too much. Thank you for everything you have given us and everything that is soon to come our way. In the Lord’s holy name we pray, Amen.” Tricia said with her head bowed.\n\n“Amen!” Colin and Kyle said at the same time as Tricia started to dish their food up. While she didn’t know just how far they had gone so far, she knew that they both would come to like each other as more then brothers. Chapter 3 – The Wedding

He said that the cops were called and grabbed him and that he wouldn’t be needed for anything further regarding his punishment. While the rest of the group was worried, Raymond assured them it was fine before taking the kids to the car to go and get fitted.

On the way over there, Raymond kept looking back, wondering if the two had used the toys he had left them. Kyle was first to speak up as he said “Hey Dad? Umm… Thanks for the toys yesterday… We didn’t use them too much, but… How did you know?” Raymond chuckled slightly as these words.

“I know you better than you think I do. Besides, I heard you guys enjoy yourselves the day before we left and could smell your scent as soon as I walked in. The important thing that you need to know is that I still love you and want nothing bad to happen to either of you. Both of you are my children and always will be. So if you guys are happy, then so am I.” He said as he was happy to know that his efforts were not in vain. Now it was time to get all things prepared for the wedding.

The rest of the day and the days to follow were relatively filled with events. From fittings to cake choices to catering options to making sure everything was set up at the church… All of it was now set and the day was finally upon them. As the group stood in the church preparing, each of the sons aiding their respective parent, Tricia knelt down to Colin and said “Are you ready to lead Mommy down the aisle? Before it was your grandfather… It’s sad that he can’t be here now, but I know you’ll do a wonderful job. And I’m glad we get to keep your suit. You look so cute in it!” She said, trying not to think how nervous she was standing there.

Colin spoke back to her words, but she was lost in memory over her first wedding, much like Raymond was on the other side of the church, but the time of the marriage was now upon them and there was no more time to spare on reliving certain memories. Now it was time to make up new memories, and the four that were soon to become a large family were ready to do just that.

Loud yet peaceful music played as the guests poured into the hall. Ushers moved left and right trying to get everyone seated where they belonged and trying to make sure that everyone was accounted for. Soon the music shifted as the pastor, an older brown colored cat, and Raymond stepped out of a room and to the front of the stage. Kyle was the next to walk in from the back of the church to music of his own as he walked down playing a violin. Outside of school, he didn’t get many chances to play it, but this time, he was allowed to and everyone loved it. He walked down the aisle, playing a different tune before walking up to his dad and finished his song. Delivering a quick hug to his dad, Kyle said “I love you, dad…” Before walking away and standing next to the piano player.

The piano player, a white colored horse, played the next tune as curtains were drawn back one by one as the groom’s men and the bride’s maids walked down, hand in hand, taking their place at the front of the church. The music ended for only a second before Kyle played a separate, smaller tune to allow for the best man and Maid of honor walk down the aisle followed by Colin’s grandmother, accompanied by one of Colin’s cousins. The music stopped after that for a second as everyone settled into their place and Colin’s grandmother delivered a soft kiss to the forehead of the pastor and then the forehead of Raymond. Raymond wasn’t sure why she wanted to do that, but it was all she wanted to do for the wedding, so he allowed it.

Finally, a fanfare started from the pianist as the entire group stood and looked toward the back of the church. Kyle soon joined in with his violin as the two played ‘Here comes the bride’. Raymond turned his head to look down the aisle as the curtains were drawn all the way back, revealing Colin and Tricia. A tear formed in Raymond’s eyes as he saw his bride and son-to-be walk down the aisle, hand in hand. As the pair walked past the groups, the guests nodded their heads in respect and best wishes as they continued slowly down to the front of the church. Once reaching there, the music stopped and the wedding guests took their seats.

“Who gives this woman away to be wed to this man?” The pastor said before looking at little Colin.

“I do!” Said Colin as he looked up to his mom. Tricia smiled and knelt down, her flowing white dress bending down behind her, and delivered a kiss to her son’s cheek before hugging him tightly. “I love you, mom…” Colin said as he hugged her before he walked over to where Kyle was and stood next to him. Tricia soon joined Raymond up on the stage and the two locked hands. Tears formed in the eyes of the boys as they remembered their deceased parents. It was hard on them to see this happen while still remembering them, but knew that this was for the best. The two boys locked hands as well, sad that they would never be able to do this with each other after today.

As the groups settled down once more, the pastor spoke once more. “Dearly beloved… We are gathered here today in the sight of God to join this man, Raymond Robinson, and this woman, Tricia Thatch, together in holy matrimony. It is with great pleasure that I, Reverend Hughes, do oversee this marriage for it is a sacred bond between two who have found a deep love for one another. If you would all join me and bow your heads in prayer.” He then bowed his head, followed by the wedding guests.

“Our gracious and heavenly father… We stand before you today to join these two together in the sacred bond of marriage. May you watch over these presidings and the rest of all of our lives as we go forth from this place so that the love between these two might be spread to others and they might join in such a bond as well. We ask that you stand by our sides as we continue on in our lives and that you watch over this couple as they join together once and for all. It is within your son’s precious and holy name that we pray… Amen.” The pastor said as all followed suit in saying “Amen”

The pastor then looked up, disliking this next part. “If there is anyone who has a reason that these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace.” He said as the entire wedding party looked out to the crowd to see if any had. All, except for Tricia and Raymond, whose eyes remained locked on each other. The love between them could be seen in just the way they looked at each other.

“I Object!”
